Enjoyable thriller, fast paced, and easy to read. Nothing remarkable or new but was a good popcorn thriller to read in between other books.

This thriller unfortunately felt a bit amateur to me and I could not get on board with the story. The cover hooked me in, but the main character was a tad unlikable.

This was a lot to handle, the book was disjointed and was hard to connect to the book because I was confused almost the whole time reading it

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. A good mystery/thriller novel. Recommend

The emotion in this book is amazing. It was so suspenseful and the characters are down right narcissistic. Overall a great read and will add this author to my to read more of!

The book had an encouraging and promising beginning, a middle slump and then a pick me up ending. I hated all 3 main characters, there were a number of twists that kept me guessing, so over all it was good domestic thriller, but nothing mind blowing.

Overall: absolutely one of the best and most anticipated thrillers of the year earned my five stalker-ish, dysfunctional family, lies, high tension, I got no nails to bite I already ate them all stars!

I put this book on hold for a long time after initially reading a few chapters. It was a bit too slow for what I was expecting. It did pick up and I liked the alternating viewpoints but ultimately it was not a favourite.

This novel takes you from the first page. Emily is a talent agent that finds out her husband is cheating on her.. It is the age old affair with a younger receptionist. Emily will go to any length to prove this, unfortunately, we find out Chloe is pregnant. This is a page turner that will keep you going! I look forward to more by this author. Well done Ms. Myles!

This is a tough one to like – but I did. There are three totally despicable MCs (Emily, Doug, and Chloe) and, for the most part, a supporting cast of equally unlikable characters.

Emily has clawed her way to the top of her PR field riding the coattails of her biggest client, Dr. Maryn. Doug comes from money and is a rehabilitated (or so he claims) cokehead, sex addict, liar, and thief. He also heads one of the largest some-kind-of-techy consulting and research company, and, he is currently hawking his newest invention which will bring in even more millions - if only he can get the app to interface properly with the hardware. E&D are a match made in heaven (or hell, depending how you look at it). They meet, they marry, and they become a powerhouse team, the envy of every backstabbing employee clawing their way up to the top in their respective companies. Doug and Emily live high on the hog, until Doug steps over one line too many. Chloe, a bubble-headed beauty with serious anger management issues is a total loser who is, of course, looking to hook the prize, rich and handsome Doug. So, I ask you, what could be bad?! All the delicious ingredients combine to set the stage for a mega explosion which will come – abruptly – near the end of the book.

There is a lot of predictable in the story, yet I found myself furiously flipping the pages as I watched each of the MCs self-destruct. Emily pays a heavy price to financially guarantee her daughter’s future. Doug should go to church/synagogue and say the prayer for escaping near death. And Chloe? What does she need? A Lobotomy? Someone to adore her and fill the giant hole in her being? Committing to an insane asylum? – you will have to read the book to find out!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Thomas and Mercer for an ARC which waited far too long to be read and reviewed. I enjoyed and I know that many other readers will love this book too!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book. This book starts off with the first page and grabs the reader. Emily is powerful talent agent who finds out that her husband is having an affair with receptionist Chloe which results in a pregnancy. This thriller keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. This is a great read! I need more from this writer.

Unfortunately, this was not the book for me.

I didn't get the mystery or thrill. The writing seemed disjointed and the timing felt off.

None of the characters were likeable and I didn't find myself interested in what was going to happen.

I think there are a lot of people who will enjoy this book, but I did not.

This was a great twisty thriller. My favourite genre to read and this one did not disappoint, I felt like I could not put this book down and was frequently reading into the night.

If you love to hate characters, this book will be for you. I, unfortunately, couldn’t get passed how awful they all were, and how slow of a burn this one was. It was a DNF for me, but not because it was badly written, I just can’t get excited to read about these people.

What a nasty bunch of people. Kudos to the author for making me dislike them so much! The different perspectives brought to bear make for fascinating reading. Highly recommended for people who like psychological thrillers which also focus on strong characters.

This is the first book by this author I've read, but will do so in future as well. The book was well written and kept me entertained until the end. Recommended for anyone who loves a good read.

I will admit it took me a while to get into this book as it just seemed like a man who had a sex addiction and could stop cheating on his wife, and a woman who slept with him and then fell in love, but my god it was so much more. I was hooked once the story started becoming the psychological thriller I was promised. Highly recommend

This story revolves around three horrible people who live in L.A. and the chapters alternate so you get the story from three points of view. There's entitled trust fund baby, Doug, who has enough hubris for the whole county. There's Emily, who struggled through her whole childhood and is obsessed with winning and making money and will claw her way to the top at any cost. And then there's Chloe, a beautiful twenty-something woman who learned how to use her looks after a pretty rough childhood, ensure her survival, and maybe snag a really wealthy sugar daddy some day. Doug, Emily, and Chloe, three people anybody would just love to have as friends, co-workers, family, right? Uh, no.
