This boxed set is three stories.

Roses are red, Deserves to Die, and You are Mine.
These are short stories with a big punch.

Usually short stories are rushed to get as much in them as possible but seem to flop come the ending. However, Miranda Rijks is masterful at creating three stories that have a beginning, middle and ending that makes you feel like you read a full. book.
I didn’t want to put these stories down.
Can’t wait to read more by Ms. Rijks.

The "Psychological Thriller Box Set" by Miranda Rijks is a captivating collection of three suspenseful novels that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Each story is a rollercoaster of psychological tension, deceit, and chilling revelations.

"Roses Are Red" introduces us to Lydia Palmer, a woman seeking happiness and a fresh start after an unhappy marriage. The unexpected death of her husband thrusts her into a whirlwind of emotions and secrets. Rijks masterfully builds suspense, making us question the true intentions of the characters. The exploration of online dating's darker side adds a modern twist to this psychological thriller.

In "Deserve to Die," the author skillfully weaves a tale of a seemingly perfect life unraveling when a manipulative character enters the scene. The suspense builds steadily, and readers are left guessing until the shocking climax.

"You Are Mine" delves into the obsession and manipulation of a man who believes he's found his perfect wife. Rupert's character is both compelling and disturbing, and the narrative keeps you hooked as you wonder how far he'll go to make Charlotte his own.

Miranda Rijks excels at creating tension and crafting intricate characters. While some readers might find the resolutions a tad predictable, the journey through these thrillers is undeniably engaging. This box set deserves a solid four-star rating for its gripping storytelling and exploration of the darker aspects of human psychology. If you enjoy psychological thrillers, this collection is a must-read.

Coming off of reading "YOU" I needed to read everything that dealt with the theme of obsession and all three of these books did not disappoint. They scratched the itch that I had

A box set with three distinct novels all with the central theme of obsession. Roses are Red, Deserve to Die, and You Are Mine. I read each one straight through and maybe that was my mistake...
Roses Are Red
This novel opens with murder, which was intriguing and had me interested in know what was going on. It then follows Lydia Palmer who is the creator of a thriving business called Crafty Crafts (or some other inane name for a crafting business), but in an unhappy marriage. She finds out her husband, Adam (who is also the CFO of Crafty Crafts) is cheating on her (with a cliché) and Lydia is ready to finally file for divorce. This is where the opening scene fits into the story as it is that evening when the murder takes place. It Adam who was murdered from the opening scene and it is Lydia who finds him. After some time to grieve, and peer pressured into online dating, she ends up finding love with a man who seems perfect (though there are so many marks where I noted "RED FLAG"). But is his perfection truly what it seems (dun dun dUUUNN).
Deserve to Die
Ok honestly, I forgot about this book in t-minus 1 hour. I had to re-read the synopsis to remind myself of the premise. Another book that opens with murder. This book shifts POV every chapter, but truly the voice of each narrator was exactly the same. Dom and Stacy are a perfect couple until murderess Tamara ends up working for Dom's company after his CFO is found dead in his tub (insert murder scene from the first chapter here). Tamara is a leech on Dom and Stacy's perfect life - inserting herself into the business and plotting Stacy's demise. What takes away from the "thriller" aspect of this book is that we see all of Tamara's sneaky plot so it took away from any surprise. Even the twist ending felt contrived.
You Are Mine
Poorly written cliché of a rich guy who commissions an artist to paint his portrait, but little does she know how obsessed he is with her. There was a gross twist at the end that was pretty obvious from a mile away. This book also switched POVs between Simone in 1994, Sir Rupert in present day, Charlotte in present day, and Charlotte's sister (Julie, Julia? a J name, I think) also in present day. Again, the POV was poorly executed as each narrator/character had the same voice as the last. Rupert is a cliched controlling misogynist who names his pecker Percy. The ending was rushed and tried too hard to tie all loose ends.
Overall, 1.5 stars. Half a star gained for the opening scenes.

WoW...........What a brilliant this was especially as you get a 3 books in 1. The first 2 books are called Roses are Red, All Lydia Palmer wants is to be happy but she is so unhappy in her marriage to Adam and she so wants a divorce. Then, shockingly, her husband Adam dies. Lydia finally gets a chance of happiness when she starts online dating and almost immediately meets Patrick. who is Handsome, successful, loving, he’ll make the perfect second husband.

But is Patrick too good to be true?

Can you really find prince charming online?

Will Lydia ever be Happy?

The Police visit Lydia and she finds out her Husband Adam was murdered! Her world starts to fall around her and has to ask questions. Is someone trying to destroy her and her daughter turns against her But why?

The third book is called "Deserve to Die" Dom & Stacey have the perfect life together. They have everything that they need but that all changes when they meet Tamara. She is about to change everything and nothing will ever the same again. I enjoyed this books as well.

I highly recommend all 3 books and are great for your holiday.

a great deal when you get a 3in1 book - the first 2 books Roses are Red, Deserve to Die were really awesome, but the 3rd book You are Mine just kept dragging and didn't hold my interest as much as I was hoping.
But nonetheless this writer's books are usually great!

This box set includes three psychological thrillers centered around the idea of obsession. They are quick reads, fast-paced and each have a different take on the genre. My favourite of the three was You Are Mine - messed up rich people are my jam. They are generally pretty predictable stories and some of the female leads can be a bit frustrating, especially in Roses Are Red but deliver some quick thrills.

Thank you to Netgalley and Inkubator Books for the earc to read and review.

These are all available now!

Roses Are Red - After her husband dies in mysterious circumstances Lydia tries online dating but things don’t go quite to plan. Another great nail biter by this author. Easy to get into, holds the reader’s interest with plenty of thrills and spills to be had. Albeit a tad predictable with a very irritating main character that you wished would “get a grip”! Lovely to see parts of Surrey and Horsham featuring in the story too. Great escapism for a while and would be a good stocking filler for fans of this author.

Three different takes on psychopathic revenge and obsession - each one a bit different, each one engaging. The first one I kind of guessed, which I believe is the plan all along and added to the reading fun, the third was my favorite!

I could not put these books down! So many twists and turns that I did not see coming. Love that they came packaged as a boxed set. While I read these together, they definitely could exist as standalones.

I read all 3 books and in my honest opinion they were ok. I did not find them edgy enough to classify as psychological thrillers and felt all 3 books were very predictable early on in each story. The stories were all very similar, as were their quick , “ all heck breaks loose” conclusions.

This is my first time reading something by this author so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have to say, I was very glad to have picked up this collection. It took a little while to get into the stories, but once I did, I couldn't put them down. A set of absolutely gripping and thrilling tales that pulled me in right from the start and had me hanging on till the end. Each story was well-written with such detailed and vivid descriptions, I had no trouble picturing the characters and events of each scene. The stories are told from both victim's and perpetrator's point of views, which makes for a more interesting read. Filled with suspense, intrigue, mystery, and drama these books will definitely have you turning the pages well into the night.

I received a free copy via Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

This is a great box set. All the stories are obsession based with unreliable narrators. I enjoyed all 3 books. The first 2 I would give 4 stars and only 2 stars to the third book. Just based on personal preference. I didn’t enjoy the last book as much it was darker and more twisty. I love this author and will look forward to her next novel.
