I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide me review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Rhisbis the kinda story I signed up for.

I had a really big thing for these online to in-person romance stories for the longest time. And still enjoy them now too. They just hit differently now lol.

But I adored this book. It was relatable and easy to read. Had some funny bits and good romance. And well written characters that I could relate to and wanted to see what would happen to.

I think this was a quick and fun read. I think with how the world loves technology that this could really happen to someone. It was sweet, but also hurting at times. I do think the chemistry was adorable.

If you want a cute little romance with characters that you will root for, read this book. I kept scrolling past this book, for the longest time. The cover wasn’t doing anything for me. So I just kept passing it by. But one day I was like, let’s give it a try. I am so glad I did. This was just so heartwarming and I can’t recommend it enough.

This book stayed my on tbr entirely too long. It’s such a lovely story. Why didn’t I read it sooner?
Liam and Anna just make it work. Their effortless chemistry kept me hooked from chapter 1. I loved this story. It made me laugh out loud and need a hug all at the same time. She’s drama free, strong and independent. He’s ideal book boyfriend material. Their story is relationship goals.

I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher through netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book is well written and the characters are described well. This is a slow burn romance between a surgeon and a fitnesstrainer. I enjoyed how they put quotes at the end of the emails. I absolutely enjoyed this book. I highly highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. This book is in stores for $15.99 (USD).

Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book. At first I didn't know what to expect - Anna accidently receives and email that was not intended for her and responds. Liam a trauma surgeon welcomes the distraction and humor from these email exchanges. turns out they live not that far apart and meet face to face. I love so much about this book - the quotes after each email was great, the chemistry of these two even though Anna thought he was not my type and the way Anna was able to give Liam peace after a rough day saving lives. My regret - not reading this great book sooner and not wanting it to end. I need more from this author!

Here’s the thing: I’ve been having a lot of trouble lately, with reading books. The main reason? I’ve just had a hard time connecting with characters, and especially their emotions. By Mistake, though? Probably the best book I could’ve read to get through that!

The story
There’s so much going on in Anna’s life. Teaching countless hours at the studio and nurturing the three major relationships of her life – her group of tight-knit friends, all while attempting to not screw up this whole adulthood thing leaves very little time to waste on yet another dating app. At this point, a relationship is off the menu. Being “self-partnered” is more than enough.

A serious relationship has been crossed off Liam Brody’s list of goals, at least for the foreseeable future. Completing his residency and becoming a trauma surgeon is his only priority. Casual relationships, his friends, and books are the only things he’s willing to lose his precious free time to.

When an accidental email starts a deep online connection, both Liam and Anna dive in with zero concern . . . because there’s really no harm in getting close to someone who you’ll never meet in real life, right?

Wrong.

When a turn of events brings their “safe” virtual connection to an unexpected face-to-face, Anna and Liam learn their online chemistry pales in comparison to the real deal. A realization that brings along the bazillion-dollar question – what do you do when you meet The One at the most impossibly wrong time?

The opinion
Here’s the thing – when it comes to romance? Apparently, I’ve adapted standards. The high, difficult to reach ones. And that has basically resulted in me having a really time honestly enjoying romance books. It also doesn’t help that, a lot of the time, there’s fanfictions out there that do most tropes better than many “traditional authors” do, but, you know. That’s more of a me-problem, right?

By Mistake, though, had that perfect mixture of realism and romance. Sure, you knew from the get-go what the result would be, but the build to get there? The way these characters actually got to know each other through emails, and as friends first? I really enjoyed that. More than anything, the author managed to get the dual perspective developed really well, to the point where both characters were relatable, there actions were understandable – and their happy ending seemed really deserved. I mean: “I fell in like with you first”? Yes please!

What’s more – this book made me want more. There is no secondary-character to be found in this book. Each and every character has a reason to be there, and the sneak peeks the reader is given of their potential? Well, let’s just say I’m quite happy that there are, indeed, stand-alone sequels to look forward to!

The rating: 4/5
If you’re in need of a book that has that perfect mixture of being romantic, without going straight for the insta-love or over-the-top dramatic gestures? Then By Mistake is definitely the one for you. And if you just happen to fall in love with these characters as I did? Well, I guess it’s a good thing, then, that there’s more to come, right?

I was very excited to receive a free copy of By Mistake from Netgalley and it did not disappoint! This was a sweet online romance between a dancer and a trauma surgeon. It was a fun touch to be able to read their email correspondence as part of the story.

It was the second book I read by Sigal Ehrlich but I didn't like it. I'm sad about it, maybe it wasn't the right time for me to read it and other people will like it.

By Mistake by Sigal Ehrlich was a quick but fun romance read that made you smile throughout. It reminds me of the typical Hallmark feel good romance movie we all love to settle in and watch. I recommend this book for anyone who loves a happy ending.

For me this book was the type of book where I can recognize that it may not be the most well written but is still pretty enjoyable. There definitely were a number of times I internally (or even externally) cringed but overall I liked the characters and the main relationship so I read this book pretty quickly. I do have to point out that the MC's have zero flaws and are the least realistic people I have read in a while. They are both these perfect specimens, with perfect morals, motivations, and personalities. I mean this surgeon doesn't even have med school debt! Oh and of course he is trying to get accepted to doctor's without borders.
This book also has the conflict through lack of communication trope. Personally, I really hate it when there are two characters that just need to talk to each other and just will not for chapters on end. While that was something that was getting on my nerves a bit, I also recognize that in this case, finally having the conversation does not fix the issue, so that the lack of communication is not 100% the source of conflict.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sigal Ehrlich OU for an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own.

I had this book as TBR on my NetGalley shelf for a while, and man I wish I had read it sooner! I knew from the description it was going to be a HEA/HFN book, and I am very happy to report I was not disappointed. The characters were realistic (a bit too perfect but realistic), the conflict made sense, and Sigal writes with an addictive quality. The POV changes each chapter between the two leads which I always enjoy, and the female main character has a solid friend group that is not there just for plot fodder. It looks like this will be a series that continues on following the stories of two of the women in the friend group and I look forward to hopefully reading those as well, since those characters were quite interesting from the scenes we had with them in this book. There were bits and pieces that didn't feel as fleshed out - but nothing felt rushed or like it was missing critical information. The scenes that were given more detail had reason to have that detail, and they were enjoyable. This is listed as a New Adult book, and a Romance book, so there are steamy scenes, but nothing overly graphic.

Overall I give this book a 4/4.5 out of 5. I enjoyed the premise and I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

I would like to thank Sigal Ehrlich and NetGalley for this ARC ebook in exchange for an honest review.

"By Mistake" follows up Anna, a fitness trainer about to buy her own business place, and Liam, a doc who is about to leave for a Doctors Without Borders trip. When an accidental email starts a deep online connection, both Liam and Anna dive in with zero concern. . . because there’s really no harm in getting close to someone who you’ll never meet in real life, right? Wrong. When a turn of events brings their “safe” virtual connection to an unexpected face-to-face, Anna and Liam learn their online chemistry pales in comparison to the real deal. A realization that brings along the bazillion-dollar question – what do you do when you meet The One at the most impossibly wrong time?

I was expecting a steamy romance, but this one is actually pretty fluffy: very warm, lighthearted and slow burn. Against my expectations, I really liked it! I loved the easy banter between Anna and Liam, their relationships with their family and friends, and even the story being predictable I read super quickly because I couldn't stop myself or my needy to know what happens to this couple that found their way into my heart. Individually, they are awesome too: Anna is so positive and ambitious, without being pretentious, and Liam has a heart of gold, always helping others and trying to make a difference. In the end, I was positively surprise with a strangers-to-friends-to-lovers romance and I cannot wait for the next one in the Poison & Wine series.

What if you meet the right person at the wrong time? What if finding that person risks everything you've been working towards?

Anna receives an email that's clearly meant for someone else. Instead of ignoring it, like many of us would do, she replied to the sender and ended up meeting a funny, reading, doctor. Liam, who doesn't do relationships, finds himself looking forward to these emails from a woman he's never met. The two of them have chemistry, but the timing might be off, at least to Liam's thinking.

What I liked about this story? 1) Anna's relationships with her sister and best friends. The text exchanges alone were super enjoyable. 2) Anna and Liam's chemistry

Sometimes you have to almost lose things to realize how much you can't lose them.

The only thing I wish had been different is that the ending was a bit sudden. I'll check out book 2 when it comes out.
