Ok, that was so underwhelming.
I'm trying hard not to be mean here, but that was lacking in many aspects, like, the dialogues were fun and quirky, especially when talking about Anna and her friends, but that sums it up, the Romance was a little boring, there wasn't a lot of action happening, even their chemistry felt forced sometimes.
I really didn't like it.

A simple but sweet romance read.

Soft and lighthearted, By Mistake is a fun and enjoyable read with likeable characters and a cute, romantic plotline. The meet-cute relationship between the two protagonists was developed well and was easy to follow. Sadly, I did not feel completely engrossed and connected to the characters or storyline. However, this is still an enjoyable story that is light and easy to read.

By mistake - Sigal Ehrlich
Plot - what happens when you send an email to the wrong person? Liam accidentally sends an email to Anna and what happens is a digital/online friendship which later become offline.
But what do you do when you meet "THE ONE" at the wrong time in your life?? Will Liam stick to his resolve ?? Will true love find it way?
My thoughts -
It was a super cute simple love story and was a quick read and a good choice esp when you want to read a light one then this one's perfect.
A slow burn romance with elements of healthy eating and fitness involved.
The idea behind the story was different which I liked but I felt it little lacking in some steam and spice..
But I would definitely be on the lookout for more books from this author!
Thank you Netgalley for the arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was a very simple yet very cute. It was also definitely a fun and quick read that could easily get you out of a reading slump. Sometimes it got quite boring but was still quite easy to finish.

This book has good potential with an fun premise, a solid plot and interesting characters. Where it falls short is in the editing. It needs to be checked for basics (like commas), but mostly there were issues with syntax and strange word choices like "annunciating" instead of "enunciating", or "nod in assertation" (probably meaning "assent" when the author was trying to avoid repeating "nod in agreement" for the third time). I usually ignore or gloss over editing comments in ARCs, but here the issues were important enough that they distracted from the reading experience of an otherwise promising book.

I loved this book with all my heart! I was expecting some kind of cliché like "I want but I can't" but turned out they really just COULDN'T. I love Liam and I hated how eco-friendly Anna could be sometimes, but like actual people, we can't expect to love everything about a fictional character. I truly want to continue reading about these two.

This was a super adorable book! It was quick read and a nice escape from the crazy life for a little bit!
Anna and Liam meet unintentionally through email and get to know each other without having ever met face to face! Both of them are busy with their lives and careers and don’t want a relationship.... until they do! Their romance is definitely a slow burn! The chemistry between Anna and Liam was so good and I couldn’t wait for their relationship to get to the next step!

The book did drag at times, but all in all witty, fun, read and I will read again from this author!

An absolute must-read for whoever is into cute love stories!

Anna is in the process of getting a loan to buy the fitness studio she works at and spends most of her free time with her best friends. One day, she receives an email that was clearly sent by mistake and, unable to resist, replies. It's the start of something really special for her as a character and for us as readers.

The person who sent the email is Liam, a trauma surgeon doing his residency whose life is consumed by erratic work hours, the possibility of working overseas for Doctors Without Borders and his friends. He has no time at all for any kind of relationship, and despite feeling charmed by Anna's email replies, he's resistant to start anything.

It's a relatively slow burn, but I thought the pace was perfect. Their relationship is the cutest thing and I was left at the end with the wish to read more about them. I'm really excited to read the next ones in the series!

There's only one thing I didn't appreciate much, which is: Anna is passionate about the relationship between what you eat and your health, which is wonderful, but when they're talking about it, he asks hesitantly if she's vegan and, when she says that she is mostly plant-based but eats fish and eggs, he's relieved that she's not "radical". Being a vegan myself, I got quite annoyed: it feels like the only way vegans are represented in books is as being radical and too extreme. I felt there was a really good opportunity there to discuss the subject in an open and light way, but this opportunity was overlooked.

But the rest was great, which is why I gave it five stars. Definitely recommend it as a read!

Thank you Sigal Ehrlich for the advanced copy!

"By Mistake" was a sweet story that started with an accidental email sent to the wrong person. Liam and Anna begin their digital friendships through emails that read like letters at times. A lost art nowadays. Their witty banter and clever comments provide the sweet quirky start to a relationship.
Anna and Liam share emails for a short time then FINALLY they meet or have they met before? One of the funny details is that Liam and Anna sign their emails with wicked funny sayings, that provide a lighthearted smile.
Liam has his insane schedule as an ER Surgeon that is in the process of waiting to hear back about his application to the Doctors without Borders. Anna is in the process of getting a loan to purchase her own yoga studio, so neither are in the right mindset for a real relationship. Anna's friends are interesting and relatable. (everyone has that one friend...) To see their relationship grow and to witness the struggle the characters go through is intriguing.
The writing style was charming with a well-developed plot. This is a stand-alone book in a series of novels, with Vicky and Ricky's story up next. I highly recommend this sweet read to anyone wanting a light romantic novel with the "fade to black" sex scenes - nothing explicit.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sigal Ehrlich for providing me with a digital ARC.

Liked the premise and general vibe of book. Would be a good rom com, which I would watch. Definitely get greys anatomy and you’ve got Mail vibes. Overall okay but did feel it slowed towards the middle and picked up again towards end.

3.5 🌟

There's a lot to love about this contemporary romance, starting with the gorgeous cover art, which definitely hooked me!

What I love most about this book is how relatable the romance is. I think almost everyone has experienced that perfect-love-at-the-wrong-time sort of thing, especially if they've dated during the digital age. I know I have! On top of that, I was a huge fan of Anna's group of friends. I did find their constant text messaging to be a little over-the-top at times, but their relationships felt so real and modern. I can definitely see where the series is heading from here...

Here's my one issue, and it's a big one... I had a really difficult time staying invested in the love story, because I found both Anna and Liam to be slightly unlikeable. Simply said, I would not want to date either character. Anna is a health-nut and I found her to be a little abrasive and preachy about that. At one point, she leads a self-esteem workshop with a group of women in her fitness class which while well-intentioned, felt inappropriate to me. And Liam - he's thoughtful and caring and selfless, yes. However, he tries to rekindle their relationship later in the story and I found the whole thing to be unbelievable. Saying "I love you" or "Move in with me" does not and should not solve the underlying issues in the relationship.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read, however I'm not necessarily interested in reading the next book in the series. This was my first Sigal Ehrlich book, though, and I'd be interested in seeing what else she's written!

I had so much fun reading this one!

had so much fun reading Anna and Liam story!

Anna received an email by mistake instead of delete it and forget about she decided to reply.

This is an easy and simple love story.

The only thing that I did not like from it was the obsession of Anna for healthy food and the mention of how perfect she was (body speaking, I got it she is a gym instructor) and I got it that will be more stories coming about Anna's friends and sister but at some points those interventions were distracting from the main story.

Overall "By mistake" is a fun, easy romance story!

As usual this book was read thanks to NetGalley, here is my honest and don't related to the author or NetGalley review.

This book attacked me in some ways that I need help after read it.

The leads, Liam and Anna don't know each other at the start of the book, but one day, Liam doesn't get the email user right which leads to an exchange of emails between Liam and a gets to know Anna, and they start sort of flirty-friends, as the texting progress so is their "flirtatious thing" and the way they keep getting to know each other is sooooooooooooooo beautiful and so heartwarming, that I loved it.

The attack was because they were some points when it felt like a parallel to my own life, that it was disrespectful, the difference is that the character are way more open to let the other person in that I am, so they get their happy ending but that is a story for other day.

I recommend this book for those who are fan of slow burn romances, a friends- to lovers, that love stories when one is a doctor.

Really nice story, one that you find asking yourself "why does it happen only in the books?" :)
I loved the characters, even if maybe they are a little too perfect (or maybe I'm so far from perfect that they seem too much).
I read it in just a couple of nights, as I always do with Ehrlich's books!
But now I would really like to know: will they last? Is it just a fairy tale or will there be surprises and problems also in Anna&Liam paradise?

Thanks to the author and NetGalley for the ARC.

If you have not seen the movie You've Got Mail you must. It's a classic when internet romance was in its hay day and correspondence was more than just a series of emojis and acronyms. When I heard that Sigal's newest book was reminescent of such a stellar film, I had to see how it measured up. Big, big, Meg Ryan sized boots to fill, Ms. Ehrlich. But as I myself met my husband of 4 years online (on a Harry Potter website no less) I am a sucker for connections made before the physical is introduced. Watching people forced to communicate and get to know what makes each other tick without sex or awkwardness involved is fascinating. In my opinion it forms a deeper connection you may have not experienced if meeting any other way. I was interested to see if one of my favorite authors was able to capture that connection and build it up into a whirlwind romance as everyone so often hoped for.

Anna loves what she does. As an instructor at a yoga studio she loves finding the spiritual connection between mind and body and teaching others how to appreciate the skin they're in. When her employer decides she must sell the studio Anna decides it's her time to step up into adulthood and apply for a loan to buy the studio herself. This drive for success doesn't leave much time outside of the few girls night events she wouldn't cancel for the world with her two besties and best sister. That doesn't leave a lot of room for romance. So when she receives an email meant for someone else from a man who intrigues her from salutation calling the reader "Little Shit" to the Tolkien references within its lines. Driven by a force unknown to her she replies to the email to correct the writer on their error in email recipient. Thus begins a correspondence she starts to depend on daily. Her heart starts to become invested in that little new email icon more and more as she gets to know the man behind the screen.

Liam is a casual guy. As a ER surgeon resident he has no time for anything else. His previous relationships have proven that women require more time than he is able to give at this time. He figures nothing will come of a little harmless flirting with an online entity that seems to match him wit for wit. But as he starts to crave more and more from the mystery email lady he fears he may not be able to keep things as platonic as he should. It becomes glowingly obvious he's in trouble when he comes face-to-face with Anna. Suddenly keeping her in the friend zone becomes increasingly harder. Will Liam and Anna be able to keep their friendship from falling to shambles under the immense attraction they have formed between each other? Or were they doomed from the first very start?

I am a carnivorous, junk food loving, woman who eats more protein than her full-grown man of a husband. So the "no meat for me" vibe Anna had made me wrinkle my nose a bit. But the author had a way of making her female protagonist very new-age-ish without having it be the defining factor of her overall. It was a good balance. The talk of the relationship between food and health made me want to set my kettlecorn popcorn aside in a dejected sort of way but it was a way of connecting the characters that I wouldn't have really thought about if I were authoring a book of the like. Anna and Liam were just the right amount of different while also having a lot of similarities that made their relationship seem real and normal.

The story is described as a slow-burn which I completely agree. The build up between the two characters with the determination to keep each other firmly in the friend zone was almost infuriating. I just wanted them to fall on each other's faces and rid themselves of all the tension that they had building between the pages that even had me squirming. Be prepared to be as frustrated as the characters most of the time.

I would recommend any and all of Sigal Ehrlich's books. All of them are fantastic and by Mist@ke is another vivacious feather in her cap of fine new adult romance.

This was an unexpectedly cute read and I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did; stories like 'By Mistake' are just my cup of tea and Sigal Ehrlich's writing is wonderful and the humour in some of the scenes made me laugh out loud. And the main trope of the story is soo adorable and made me squeal at certain parts of the book. I really really wish I hadn't read this so fast because I loved the romance and the world that Sigal Ehrlich created and I really wanted more and more. Not many books make me feel that way, so kudos to this one!

I love the premise of this book, what a wonderful idea for a meet-cute. Liam sends Anna an email by mistake. When Anna gets the wrong email, she can’t help but reply which begins Liam and Anna correspondence. The love story is very sweet and the story has good bones but the story just felt flat to me at times. I had a very hard time connecting with Liam and Anna. I received an ARC for my honest review from NetGalley.

This book truly ticked all the boxes for me and I'm HERE FOR IT. Meet cute via mistaken email. Slowly upgrading to text messages and phone calls before an in person introduction. The ultimate in slow-burn friends to lovers and dang were they cute throughout. While admittedly I wanted to slap one of them upside their head repeatedly for their hang-ups throughout the novel I appreciated how realistic it was. Because people in real life have real issues just like this and we all make mistakes and have to learn from them. This book was absolutely adorable and I'm absolutely looking forward to the next in this series. Totally recommend.

What a quick sweet story! By Mist@ake is a meet-cute type of romance book. Anna, the fitness trainer, accidentally receives an email from Liam, the trauma doctor, that was meant for his best friend.

After months of emailing followed by months of friendly in person flirting, Anna is ready to take their friendship to another level, but is getting mixed signals from Liam. He is sure he wants Anna but feels conflicted as his life plan isn't matching up as he expected.

This 'will they, won't they' plot is adorable! I personally wished there was more drama, but this novel was a great read to enjoy on a lazy Sunday.
