Thanks to NetGalley and publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a very quick read. It just wasn't for me. I found the writing and wording to be awkward and distracting at times and with many errors. Such as the author describing the main character scooping up a lot of food on her spoon and saying it was "pregnant". Perhaps the author isn't a native speaker? It also sounded more like movie-type dialogue than what people would say in real life. Also many aspects seemed dated in a way. Who uses the word metrosexual in this day and age anymore?

It took a bit for Anna and Liam's story to pick up, but I'm a fan of the slow burn so that's all good. It was cute, I guess, but I just couldn't really connect with Anna. Anna, and also Liam at times, just seemed too "I was born in the wrong generation" for my taste.

Overall, a light read and good for movie-type romcom fans.

Really enjoyable cute read, there are some hilarious moments between the group of girls. The girls are awesome, anyone would want to be part of this group. Anna is a great heroine, I loved her positive attitude, Liam was just ok for me, there ending seemed a bit rushed and I felt their HEA was a bit HFN rather that a true ending.

This to me felt like your every day Hallmark story. Where a workaholic finds that work isn't everything and that love was there all along. I have to say that for me it didn't feel like anything new was brought to the table with one. However, it was a cute little story. If you aren't looking for anything new in the way of a story. And you are just looking for a fun read then check this one out. I do like that each book is about new characters but they are still connected. It's a great way to do a series.

What a great story!! Once I started this book, I could barely put it down. It was perfect for this rainy day! The heroine's friends were just plain awesome --- they were fun and caring and made me wish I could hang out with them and join in their group chats. I enjoyed the way the relationship grew in the main storyline. All in all, I recommend this book and can't wait to read the next one in the series.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC of this book --- very (very!) much appreciated.

"When it works, all the rest is just noise."

I would like to thank the author for this e-ARC copy of her book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. ,

This is my first Sigal Elrlich book and my first finished read for 2021 - and it is a great start for a new reading year.

By Mistake is a very warm, lighthearted and slow burn romance about a ER resident and a fitness instructor who accidentally meet through a randomly sent email and forms a friendship around it. I'm not usually a fan of romance novels having an online dating plot, but this somehow works for me because it started off as an accidental friendship before turning something deeper. There wasn't any angst or lust at first sight going on with this novel, so I really enjoyed the wholesome budding friendship and romance it had. I just love how Liam and Anna 's online friendship blossomed, and I was giddy and excited for both of them. There were a few steamy parts towards the end, but this book is pretty much tame and fluffy.

The writing style and flow of the story are pretty straightforward, and while it was predictable, I still found myself reading quickly through this book to know what happens next to Liam and Anna. As a medical student, I really love that Liam is an ER resident, so I found myself empathizing him more because I understand his crazy schedules, his need to put his career first before his life ( because I'm the same), and that his personal life will always need to take a step back. Everything about him just resonates with me, so I found myself enjoying his character more, even though he did make a few very awful mistakes at the latter chapters. On the other hand, Anna was a fun oddball, and she matched Liam's pristine personality to a T. They're the type of characters you both root for separately and together. I also love their relationships with their family and friends, because those characters definitely brought more life into the story.

This book is just so good, and I can't wait to read the other ones in this brand new series.

3.5-4 stars. Anna and Liam meet by way of email correspondence, where Liam shoots off an email meant for his best friend and it lands in Anna's inbox instead. Anna, who happens to be ever the quintessentially polite and professional, but also goofy, personality responds back. Much to Liam's amusement at her reply, he answers back. They develop a very solid friendship online that seems perfect in a cyber sense, but would be difficult to replicate from a real world perspective, or so they think. Anna has her hands full with investing in a studio which she hopes to own someday and Liam is elbow deep in his residency as a trauma surgeon at the ER. Sending emails back and forth is pretty easy. As time goes on and it's obvious they live in the same city, they talk on the phone and make plans to meet up. There's no denying the obvious physical attraction after establishing the already online connection. I enjoyed the banter and dialogue between them, it felt very natural. The chapters alternated between Anna and Liam so it was transparent to the reader as to what they were thinking and feeling. Despite all the time and conversation with each other, there was a little bit of angst as far as Liam holding back. He didn't want to commit to a relationship because of his heavy obligations regarding work so he keeps Anna in the friend zone, but otherwise, he knew that Anna was the jackpot for him as far as envisioning the future. I genuinely liked both of them, particularly Anna and how classy she was, but also very forthright in her communication. Yet she could dissolve the tension with humor while still addressing it directly. I wouldn't have minded if Anna offered a bit more resistance to make Liam sweat a little more, but overall, it was a cute and light hearted story with two good main leads.

I really wanted to like this book and I felt the storyline was very good, but sadly I couldn't finish it as the author seems to have the vocabulary of a teenage boy. Pretty much every other word was f$#@ this and f#@$ that and it really detracted from the storyline and became so distracting that I gave up just over half way through when I became abundantly evident that the author wasn't going to improve. It's a shame as the storyline is really good and the way the author had shown the thought processes and emotions was good but the use of the F-word as a replacement for pretty much every adjective was frustrating and so because of this I wouldn't recommend. If the author took out 80% of the expletives I'd be interested in reading, but as it stands it's too tedious sadly

This is a light cozy little story. All started by a mistaken email. that turns the heart of a single health coach, into finding the love of her life. Anna is a fitness coach that is looking to take the next step in owning her fitness studio. She has a great group of friends from different backgrounds but they all make the friendship work. Even her sister Victoria a business professional who doesn't need a man to make her happy. Pandora or Panda a Kindergarten teacher who turns into wild girl when she is out on the town, and Kayla their drummer friend who believes you shouldn't be with just one man have many. Anna is fine with her life until she gets a mistaken email meant for someone else. She finally finds out who its from and Anna and Liam and ER doctor embark on a relationship that was only to a casual friendship but ends up into something much much more.

I love the way the author brings not only Anna's friends whom she calls chickens and Liam's friends into their story which they are trying to convince Anna and Liam that it is more then friendship. Liam is worried because his last relationship ended badly and hated to push Anna away. The author brings you on a journey of ups and downs for two people who when one wants a full blown relationship and the other couldn't bear to hurt the women he truly loves, plus he is off to the Sudan for Doctors without Borders.

I enjoyed this story because it was light and fluffy. Very easy to read and a little predictable but enjoyable. The author's character's were smart and had personalities. The story was tied up perfectly when we finally meet the person the email was intended for. I see that a second book is coming I would be very interested to read it.

I absolutely adored this cute little romance. In today's world of technology, it's so believable that something like this could happen. The chemistry between Anna and Liam was adorable, and Anna's friend group was such a great part of the story. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would suggest this read to my romance enjoying friends!

This book was really really cute. I gobbled it up. I love the trope! Accidentally communicating online and then meeting in real life? Ah-dorable. Sign me up, I will read them all. Another of my favorites: a group of best girl friends who love each other! This book has everything! (Channeling SNLs Stefon)

I enjoyed the story. I really loved Anna. She is strong and independent and knows who she is. She does not need a man. She is not looking for love. Anna is KILLING it in her career. She has the best friends. She's good.

I think Liam is adorable. He's all wrapped up in living his life in the order he laid out for himself. Best laid plans, and all that. I also want to slap him. He is so worried about the timing of everything, that he almost loses the best thing that ever happened to him. If he were my friend, I'd shake him.

The story is adorable, the plot is well laid out, and the characters are fun. I cannot wait for the next book.
