Complementary copy provided by NetGalley for honest review and opinion. I really wish it would have been in one book. I invested a lot of anguish and hopes in this book so I can't wait to read the second one for closure.

I have mixed feelings about the book. I won’t say I loved it but neither did I hate it. I am just confused. The story is good and romance and thriller genres, together, are very uncommon which makes it even more interesting. But I didn’t like how it was presented in the beginning.
The very first chapter was way to kinky which is not my type of adult romance. I mean I expected all that but not that soon. I also found myself skipping pages. I also gave this book a little break because I was just getting bored of some unnecessary chapters and ramblings. But I continued reading it again. And eventually I ended up keeping it down after 60-70%.
I really enjoyed the writing style. And after reading some of the reviews I am now very excited to know who the stalker is and what’s the cliff-hanger of the story. So maybe I’ll read it some other time but not right now. I rated it a 3 star and am not calling it a DNF yet.

I loved this book! The story of Gunner and Shy goes to new levels though when you’re half way through.
Someone is watching Shilo and someone knows everything that’s going on. Gunner is the boy that knows he’s the man fir her. He will not let another person get in the way and goes to incredible odds to lock in a relationship with her; even if it is slightly unorthodox.
I got to the end of the book wanting more! This is good though because now I found out there’s a part two
Ahh to keep reading
Definitely worth the read.
Enjoy

My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

Shiloh and Gunner: pan back in time to a high school party, into a closet, during a dare of Seven Minutes in Heaven. Fourteen year old Gunner is living the dream: he is making out with his best friend's older sister , Shiloh. Neither one of them will forget that sizzling kiss. Gunner has crushed on Shiloh since he was ten years old. Shiloh is surprised by the chemistry between them, but buries the memory deep.

Flash forward about four or five years, and we find that Shiloh has no time for youthful infatuations. She had to give up her artistic dreams and fast-track her college education so that she could get a teaching job to help pay for her brother's mounting medical bills after he is injured in a car accident.

Gunner has tried to move on but when he sees Shiloh on stage at Kendricks - an upscale strip club - he is done with fighting his feelings for Shiloh. Shiloh refuses to have anything to do with Gunner: he is her student, she has standards, even if she is stripping at a club. And Shiloh has another problem occupying her mind: she has a stalker. There have been a rash of abductions in their county.

Can Gunner protect Shiloh and force her to set aside her inhibitions and admit that she has feeling for him? Or will the Stalker take what he believes is rightfully his: Shiloh.

This was well written.and the characters are decently well-rounded and relatable. Gunner is such a sweet, determined Romeo!! But this story ends on a cliff-hanger, and I am so not a fan of cliff-hangers. Fortunately, the sequel has already been published and I continue on with the story. I will report back once I finish the sequel. I'm rating this one a 3.7 out of 5: nice and steamy, but now I understand why there were so many the baking sessions: nice, homey filler. Stay tuned....!

I love this story! I was completely wrapped up in the stalker plotline. I'm so invested in Shiloh and Gunner. I read through in one sitting and immediately got book two which I am going to read now.

What a rush!

Forbidden love, a stalker, an obsessive ex, and so much more create never ending drama... but in the most amazing way. By the end of the first chapter, I was hooked and didn’t want to put it down.

I love Shiloh and Gunner! The way they play off each other, their banter, and the steam building between them makes them such an awesome couple. Shiloh is strong, facing so many challenges yet determined to figure out everything on her own. And Gunner... (swoon) he’s like a knight riding in to save the day, but in subtle ways. He understands Shiloh’s need to handle things herself and tries to give her space while taking care of her too. Perfect book hero!

I can’t wait to read the second book and find out what happens next!

I wanted to love this book. So damn badly.
But I just couldn't.
Teacher/Student. No thanks.
And wtf, Gunnar doesn't act his age at all.

I really enjoyed this story about Gunner and Shiloh’s romance. With the forbidden romance trope between the two made the book that much appealing. This book is definitely more on the adult side. A did have a slight problem with this book of Gunner coming off a little to clingy, which could just be me. The cliffhanger at the end was a little crazy. Another problem was the characters weren’t in college or old which was a little worth for me. Overall those this story was definitely worth a read if you’re into a little spice and good forbidden romance.

This was a very good romance novel. The characters were likable and I found myself rooting for them. I think the steamy scenes were just enough without going overboard. Can't wait to see where the story goes, luckily the second book is on Kindle Unlimited.

4.5 romantic, dark, suspenseful stars!

Say You Love Me is truly a dark romance that had me captivated from beginning to end. Shiloh Brookings is a 21 year old high school English teacher by day and stripper by night. Back in Shiloh's senior year of high school, she is dared to play 7 minutes in heaven with the freshman and finds herself in a closet with her brother's best friend, Gunner. Gunner is now an 18 (almost 19) year old senior and is in Shiloh's English class. Shiloh must fend off Gunner's advances while also being left terrifying messages by a stalker.

This book had me as soon as I saw that it was a dark romance. Those two words sent a shiver down my spine and I knew I had to read it. Let's start with the plot! Wow did this book draw me in. Practically from the beginning I was intrigued and I finished this whole book in one night. The pace of the story was fast enough to keep me engaged and drawn out enough to keep me in suspense. This book had me guessing and questioning my theories throughout. AND THE CLIFFHANGER! It killed me and had me buying the second book immediately. Overall a great story.
Next the characters! I like the way that this book switches perspectives. The author goes between Shiloh, Gunner, and even the stalker's perspective. Shiloh was a great character that truly developed but did leave me feeling exasperated. Gunner is such a good one, the typical "perfect guy" character. At times I did feel awkward reading the book knowing that Gunner is only a high schooler. However, as Gunner constantly reminds Shiloh, he's 18, almost 19.

*Thank you to E.R. Whyte and NetGalley for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I wasn't sure that I was going to like this story. I was pleasantly surprised. It has a darker edge that I fully enjoyed. The tropes are ones that I like to read. I know that this type of story is not everyone's cup of tea due to the darker nature. If darker romance with cliffhangers are what interest you, then you will love this story. I can't wait to read the next one.

Shiloh Brooklings is a high school teacher. She's also a stripper by night. Her brother is in a long-term facility and it's a struggle to pay for all his medical bills.

With students only a few years younger than she is, she finds it hard to keep the classroom under control. When Gunner Ford signs up for her English class, she's afraid that her secret night job might be threatened, but also her teaching assignment.

She and Gunner have known each other since they were kids. Gunner has always had a 'thing' for her and he now has no intention of ignoring his feelings. Now all he has to do is convince Shiloh that he's the man for her.

But Shiloh, at the moment, has a secret. She has a stalker ... he's been to see her in her night job ... he's broken into her car ... he's been in her home ... he leave phone and text messages that clearly prove he's watching her.

As her relationship with Gunner heats up, the stalker gets angrier and a lot more dangerous. He wants Shiloh and he will have her one way or another and he doesn't care who might die if they get in the way of his desires.

WARNING: Say You Love Me is a New Adult dark romance duet featuring language, stalking, stripping, and even some serial killing. It features mature content, including a taboo attraction between consenting adults.

I found myself skipping some pages along the way ... the characters are likable, but I found them so young, I really didn't connect with them. Shiloh is 21 ... Gunner is almost 19. Teacher -- Student. Even with skipping pages, I found myself immersed into finding out who the stalker was. But then the end of the book jumped up and hit me in the face with a huge cliff - hanger. The follow-up book is available, so no waiting .. if that is what the reader wants.

Many thanks to the author / BooksGoSocial / Netgalley for the digital copy of this Romantic Suspense on Steroids. Read and reviewed voluntarily, opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

3.5 Star Review!
2.5 Spice Rating

This book literally had me at 'New Adult/ Dark Romance'...

Main points... Sexy girl and guy, dark and forbidden love, and OMG THE CLIFFHANGER!

I liked this book. The storyline itself is well hashed out and logically flows. I initially was a bit thrown by the multiple POV's, and I think my hesitance was due to the fact that my previous experience with that kind of writing style isn't all that good, but I'm so pleased to say that my first impressions about the book's writing as a whole was totally wrong.

My main issue is the forbidden love element of the story. I don't want to give away details and spoilers, but I think I wouldn't have cringed as much if the characters we're in a college/ university setting.

Also, I didn't feel too great about the fact that literally every leading male character wanted to get into Shiloh's pants or alluded to sex in some way. I wanted her to have positive and platonic relationships with males that weren't her brother, or just even be the tiniest bit upset by the fact that this element is missing from her life or acknowledge that this kind of behaviour isn't normal. For me, this element would have brought a little bit more relatability to the character.

I don't want to give off the wrong impression, because I really did like this story. As soon as I finished the book, I bought the second one, and I honestly can't wait to read that as well. The opinions I have brought up are just ways that could have made me give the book that higher rating.

The e-copy of this book was given to me thanks to E. R. Whyte via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. This review is totally of my own opinion and is posted willingly.

Say You Love Me is a forbidden romance as well as brothers best friend trope which make the book all the more appealing in my opinion. While there is romance brewing between Shiloh and Gunner there is Shiloh's mysterious stalker who is out and about causing her problems. So overall would recommend for those who like romance with a little bit of mystery and danger on side.

3.5 stars
I had no idea what to expect from this book. I got it as it was a read now on NetGalley and sounded interesting as I was looking up for something new.

Sometimes a teenage obsession can go on hibernation for years, and when a chance encounter makes an appearance in the now life, most people will grab the opportunity to connect again. Only, not always , everyone does it in the same old fashion way.

I found it scary and right away creepy, with an obsession gone way too far at points. I must admit that I wasn’t comfortable in many moments as I thought, what if this could happen to me? (apart for the stripping part as I would never do it :)) )but I Can easily see how a suspenseful story needs all the twists moments. And I hate cliffhangers so I’m going to read the next one soon because I need to know how everything wraps up.

A romantic mystery novel.
Gunner has had a crush in his best friend Sammy's sister Shiloh since he was 13. After a life changing accident leaves Sammy requiring ongoing medical care Shiloh struggles to make ends meet and starts working part time as a stripper, on top of getting a job working at the local highschool. Low and behold Gunner is a student in her senior English class. Did I mention a stalker?
There is a lot happening in this book but I did find it to be a bit slow paced for my personal preference, but is is well written with good character development and the cliffhanger at the end seals the deal.

Say you love me

I loved Gunner. Right from the 7 minutes in heaven I knew I would love him.

Oh my. Words. How could you. I don’t think I have even been so annoyed at a book ending like this one. What a cliffhanger!

I really enjoyed this book. Reading it until 5am probably wasn’t the best idea and I’m totally regretting it this morning but I was literally on the edge of my seat like the whole time It was the perfect amount creepy and weird and wonderful all at the same time. I have to admit some bits made me cringe but I think that was the intent so it worked really well. I adored Gunner and even tho sometimes he did come across slightly stalkerish himeself knowing Shy had feelings for him made it way less creepy so it was all good plus, He cares so so much for her and that’s just sweet AF.

3.5/5
