Daddy’s Girl by Belinda Williams

Em is a career driven researcher studying for a phd. Joel is career driven and is invited to meet the bosses daughter- Em! Sparks fly - then eventually romance begins easy read . 3.5/5

This is the second book in the series, however despite saying that - it can easily be read as a standalone novel too!.
I loved the lead character in this book, and the way in which she was a highly intelligent woman, who was furthering her education, something which I must say is truly refreshing and not always explored in books!.
With a brilliant cast of secondary characters with interesting personalities, alongside a fun, heart warming storyline - this was a very enjoyable read.

Lovely romcom book. Once again found myself drawn into the story and loved it. Well written, great characters, what more could I ask for. Would recommend this book of you want an easy read. Many thanks to both netgalley and the author for allowing me to read this book. Please note all opinions are my own.

An entertaining read and easy read. This is fast-paced as well as gripping. Many romcoms aren't. It's very hard for me to find one that pleases me. This story felt so right in all the ways. It flowed together beautifully.

This is the second book I've read in this series, and I've enjoyed them both. However, you didn't have to read the others for this book to make sense. Overall, I really enjoyed the book. I especially liked that the main character was a researcher pursuing a higher degree (there doesn't seem to be many books with this type of character). As a researcher myself, it was a character I could really relate to. It was a quick, enjoyable read. I highly recommend this book and any written by Belinda Williams.

4.5 Stars!

Author Belinda Williams has authored another engaging and impassioned novel with Daddy's Girl, the third book from her Freshwater series. It is an engrossing read, replete with an exciting plot, well-defined characters, and a hot romance. This story takes place on the lovely coast of Sydney, Australia, and can be enjoyed as a standalone.

The writing is good but the pace is too slow for me. The conflict just didn't grab me., This book might appeal to readers looking for a quieter read than what I prefer.

This isn’t the first time I’ve picked up a book like this titled and been schooled about my kinky side. So while not a taboo read this was still a fun book.

What did I like? This romance for me started out a little too simplistic but quickly turned into a slow burn. The elephant in the room with Joel was puzzling but not as bad as I thought when we finally learned about his past. Em was not a usual daddy’s girl but in the end the HEA was more than suffice.

Would I recommend or buy? Yes to both, while a simplistic romance but a sweet one. Nothing taboo here, just a father wanting something great for his daughter. Four stars of romance!

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review!

Meet Em a graduate student really driven all focused to finish her phd and nothing can block her road
Meet Joel driven and committed on his career and has to meet his boss’s daughter in a set up meet
These two in the beginning match like water and oil
Than romance kicks in
This is a classic trope well written by this author
Nice novelty

3.5*
It’s a long while since I’ve read a simple romance and I don’t mean simple as an insult. My tastes of late have been more fantasy based. But this was a nice easy read.

I liked both Em and Joel particularly early on. While I’m not a fan of holding things back, things that are obviously going to blow up. I understood the hard terrible life Joel has lived. Still I really wanted him to open up more.

This is a new author to me and it maybe her thing but the ending was a lot more abrupt than I was expecting. But that’s maybe just me I’m a huge epilogue lover and I didn’t get that here.

But all moaning aside this was a nice easy read.

This book follows Em Georgiou who's a very career-driven protagonist. She wants to finish her PHD first and start a career before she settles down much to her father's dismay. Em's a bit of a flirt and likes men too much to settle down with one. Joel Scott doesn't do relationships. If you're looking for a romance similar to Daphne and the Duke of Hastings but more modern, then this is for you! Joel's got his eyes set on growing his business, but when a client tells him he should get to know his daughter Em, Joel's fine with adding getting to know a spoiled princess if it will help him advance in his career path. Can Joel convince Em that he's not just trying to impress her dad and what happens when his feelings get in the way of his career goals? This was a very enjoyable read and a perfect distraction from the news.
