Sweet Bliss is the first book in the Harper Landing series and the first I have read by this author. It was a sweet small-town romance with charming characters. The characters were multi-layered, lovable, and relatable. Aaron’s life changed a lot when his sister and brother-in-law died. He had to modify his lifestyle and priorities to take care of Jack. He was weighed down by guilt and new responsibilities, but Julia’s presence helped him. Julia was a descendant of Harper Landing’s founder and she had inherited shops in the town. She was proud to be part of Harper Landing and devoted herself to helping the community. Julia’s self-esteem was very low, and it was wonderful to see her finally stand up for herself. The book was well written, easy to read, and I recommend it.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is my first book by Jennifer Bardsley and I truly enjoyed it!!! Such a sweet romance!!! Aaron is trying to raise his newly orphaned nephew and moves to a new place. Aaron meets Julia and asks for help with his nephew. Can two lost souls find happiness together? Read and find out!!! Enjoy!!!

I really enjoyed this small town romance set in the coastal Pacific Northwest. The people in the town are just as much a part of the story, similar busy-body meddlers and quirky personalities to Gilmore Girls and the Virgin River TV series transported to a town north of Seattle. A sweet read with modern touches - Paleo diet, froyo shop, women running businesses like a boss!

This was such a sweet and easy romance. I love the characters and you could feel their connection from page one.
All in all I really enjoyed this read.

If you’re looking for a feel good read this is perfect. Small town laden with charm, warm kind hearted people, some there for their entire lives, others looking to start anew an adorable baby, a goofball of a dog and a perfect happily ever after. A sweet lovely fun read. This was my first time reading this author and all I can think is why and how did that happen?. Sweet Bliss is the first in the Harpers Landing series and I am anxiously awaiting the next.

New landlord Julia is struggling to find the financing to make repairs on the real estate she inherited from her neglectful mother. Entrepreneur Aaron is building a new life after the death of his sister and brother-in-law left him guardian to baby Jack. Despite the attraction between them, will grief and their busy lives keep them apart?

Aaron and Julia are likable separately and adorable together. New parents especially will relate to the (often messy) challenges faced by a single dad.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Cute small town romance, love the cover and the blurb made this an easy grab for reading.

What did I like? I love it when two people find a common ground with romance that works for them. Julia is the wallflower and Aaron has to take over his nephews upbringing because of a huge loss. Together they are kismet and a pleasure to read about!

Would I recommend or buy? This was a fun read! Would have made a great beach read! If your in the mood for a drama less romance then this story is for you! Four stars of entertainment!

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review!

3.5 stars.

To be honest, I don't have much to say about this book. I adore the characters, Julia Harper and Aaron Baxter. I loved that they both have such an interesting backstory that, kind of threw, them into the people they became, but the plot was lacking. The end of the book hints that there might be more to happen in the town of Harper's Landing and I will be curious to see. I can't say this will be the kind of book that sticks with me though.

I really enjoyed reading about Harper Landing! All of the characters were well written. I enjoyed reading about Aaron, Julia and baby Jack. Toby sounds like an adorable dog! This was a nice hometown story with some romance. There was a few not so nice people throw in to make the story extra interesting. I hope to see more books about Harper Landing! Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Just like the name implies, this book is a sweet, clean HEA small town romance. Julia is a small business owner who also happened to have inherited ownership of most of the buildings in Harper Landing, her relatives founded the town!

Aaron comes to Harper Landing to be close to the grandparents of his nephew, who gained guardianship over when his sister and his best friend suddenly passed away. The romance between Julia and Aaron is a slow burn due to their many obligations, but a fun one to read.

I don’t write spoilers, so I won’t tell you the ending, but this is a mostly light-hearted read with like-able characters.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

Sweet Bliss is a cute, fun, and quick read for lovers of small towns and clean romance! The book follows Julia Harper, owner of Sweet Bliss and much of Harper Landing itself, and Aaron Baxter, newcomer to Harper's Landing with his baby nephew Jack.

Julia was such a sweet character, full of light and happiness. She loved her town, and wanted to take care of it's residents in any way she could, even if it meant putting her own needs on the backburner. I liked watching her realize her own self-worth after being put down by her mother for so long. It was so refreshing to see a character overcome trauma with minimal drama. Her interactions with Jack were absolutely adorable and I loved how much she cared for the baby right from the start.

Aaron himself was also dealing with his own issues between his grief from losing people he loved, to suddenly becoming a single father. I felt like I was struggling with him as he tried to do right by Jack, thanks to a really great writing style on behalf of the author. It just felt so genuine, I could definitely imagine a single father being stressed about the same things that Aaron was stressed about. But I liked that he kept a level head in situations, even when he seemed overwhelmed. Having Julia by his side during many of these instances helped him remain calm, and further added to my love of this little family.

And of course, a shoutout to Toby, the loyal canine companion to Julia. What a little rascal he was lol! Overall, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this read. The writing flowed really well, the characters were unique, interesting, and genuine. And the plotline itself moved along at a nice pace, though a bit slow at the beginning. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice summer read with a clean romance and some great characters, all set in a cute small town. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Fans of small town romances will enjoy this story of Aaron, who is raising his orphaned nephew Jack , and Julia, owner of, well the town, and a yogurt shop. Aaron, who made a lot of money promoting paleo eating, decides to move to Harper Landing so that Jack can be close to grandparents Martha and Frank. He's struggling with raising an infant as well as his grief at the loss of his sister and his business partner. Julia's not gotten over the death of her mother. These two find common ground in Jack and in Julia's dog- and in helping Martha and Frank cope with challenges. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. It's a sweet tale.

A cut above the usual small town community Romances that I take guilty pleasure in. All the elements are there, aspirational setting, small town folk into everyone else’s business and an abundance of homemade sweet treats... yet this confection sits more squarely in the stomach... no saccharine in sight, a sweet meet -cute and a couple who really are well suited.

I liked it a lot! Scope for much more too!

I would say this is the perfect read for this period and it has some of my favorite tropes. If you like small town romance this is definitely for you! The author delivers a sweet, fast paced and intense story . It was romantic and I loved both characters . I liked how they met and Aaron gave me goosebumps . He is so swoon worthy . Julia and Aaron are they were imperfect but somehow they have found a way and they were so perfect for each other . They developed a great relationship . It’s a really cute story and both characters worked hard to heal through their grief and loss . If you are looking for a quick read , full of emotions, with a great banter between the characters this is the best .

Sweet Bliss was a great combination of small-town romance and sometimes darker realities of life. The characters were well-written, and it was easy to lose yourself in the storyline. A quick read, enjoyable read!

A really sweet and really clean romance book.
I really enjoyed the story, Aaron is an unexpected, single dad. Julia is a froyo business owner in a small town that’s been in her family for generations. Aaron and Julia meet by chance one day and their chemistry was instant and grew quickly from there! I really enjoyed their interactions, but I kept waiting for more from the author, especially because their chemistry was so great!

Sweet Bliss is a perfect summer romance. Two lonely people find each other through an adorable dog and baby. Adam us coping with single parenthood and Julia struggles to eviscerate her mother’s ugly voice from her head. Together they battle a concussion, projectile vomiting, a mischievous dog, granola diet, and everything in between. Bardsley captures the beauty of small town living and all the closeness one can expect. She also demonstrated how nothing is a secret in a small town either. Pick this up on your way to the beach or a small town.

A small-town romance that makes for a quick read. Sometimes, it was a bit too cheesy for me but overall, I liked it.

When I read the jacket copy for Sweet Bliss, my first thought was that it was exactly the type of love story I like to read. And I am pleased to say I was right!

Sweet Bliss tells the stories of Julia and Aaron, who are on the path to romance almost as soon as they meet. Julia is a Harpers Landing native, in fact she owns half of downtown, with residual Mommy issues. Aaron is in mourning after his sister and best friend passed away, leaving him with their newborn son, Jack.

The chemistry between Julia and Aaron is palpable. Their hearts are big and broken and bursting with attraction to each other. I loved watching the two fall in love.

Overall, Sweet Bliss is a sweet and charming romance full of heart. I’m looking forward to reading more from Bardsley and diving further into the town of Harpers Landing.

Sweet Bliss is a Small Town, Clean Romance book. I LOVE movies of this style, they are my favorites to watch with my mom, but this is the first time I have read a book of this style, and I was really worried that I may get bored.

Fortunately, it was an unfounded fear, and while the book didn't catch me completely right away, it didn't take long for me to become so fond of Aaron and Julia that I didn't want to stop reading their story. And of course with the exquisite Jack.

Aaron is a 29 year old, co-creator of a very successful Paleo company. His co-creator and best friend named Jared also became his brother-in-law by marrying his sister Sara. But Aaron's life was turned upside down when Sara and Jared perish in a car accident leaving their newborn Jack under his care.

Aaron and Sara were raised by babysitters, and they didn't want that for Jack, so Aaron decided to leave everything behind and move in with Jack near Jared's parents, in the town of Harper Landing.

Julia is a 28-year-old young woman who owns a frozen yogurt shop called Sweet Bliss. In addition, she is the only member of the Harpers, founders of the town, who is still alive after the death of her mother a year ago. As such, she owns several buildings which she rents at a much lower price than they are actually worth.

She is also the owner of a labrador named Toby, who is full of love but never stops making disasters. When Toby decides it's a great idea to swim out to open sea, a stranger rushes to his rescue. The stranger turns out to be Aaron, who has moved into town a few months ago.

From this moment on, fate seems to want to bring Julia and Aaron together, even in the most unexpected situations, but neither of them will complain about it.

It is a beautiful story. Aaron has fully taken over care of Jack and is doing his best, becoming an exemplary father, but still feels inadequate and remains concerned about it.

While Julia is an incredible woman who believes she is totally invisible due to her low self-esteem fueled by her mother's criticism.

It seems impossible to both of them that a person like them could be with someone so wonderful, which brings me to the points of view. We can see the story from the eyes of Julia and Aaron, so we can see how they think the other person is wonderful (and they really are) while, when we return to their point of view, we see how little they feel.

In addition to seeing the birth of this beautiful relationship and how they both help each other grow, we can also meet other villagers such as Martha and Frank, Jack's paternal grandparents, who have a beautiful relationship, but are also having to deal with some problems, in addition to still suffer the loss of their son. There are more little pieces of stories that we get to see, but I don't want to spoil any of it.

Anyway, I really enjoyed this story, and I'm really glad I read it. I just felt that the end came rushed, but because I didn't want the story to end.
