I really enjoyed this book! It is my first book by this author and it will not be the last. I loved Brynn, Ethan, and the setting of this book. I definitely recommend it!

I absolutely loved this book. This has to be one of Stacy Finz's best! I loved the characters and the story. I'd say this is as much women's fiction as romance . I'd love to live in Nugget. 5 stars. FANTASTIC!!!

Choosing You by Stacy Finz is a contemporary romance, and part of the Nugget series. I have not read the previous books, and while it takes place n a small town and it is clear that characters will pop up repeatedly in the series, it seems like each can be enjoyed on their own as well.

Picturesque Nugget, California, couldn’t be more different than the glittering caverns of Manhattan, but Brynn Barnes is grateful for the change. After the accident that took her husband’s life and seriously injured her young son Henry’s legs, a clinical trial from a pioneering young doctor offers Brynn hope that Henry may walk again. And even as the magnificent landscape and the town’s hospitality help mend Brynn’s broken spirit, it’s a certain handsome surgeon’s compassion that soothes her aching heart. Reeling after a bitter divorce, Ethan Daniels has brought his medical practice and his young daughter to Nugget, where he hopes its homey warmth will ease the transition to a family of two. A new relationship is the last thing he should be thinking about. But Ethan can’t help his immediate attraction to beautiful Brynn—or the feelings she’s awakening in him. For two people battered by life’s cruelest blows, love may be the perfect prescription.

Choosing You is a sweet romance with a sprinkle of heat. I liked Brynn, she is doing everything she can to help her son recover from his injuries and is willing to do anything for his wellbeing. Ethan is a good guy, fantastic surgeon, and as equally dedicated to his daughter. I liked getting to see the characters get to know each other, and some of the characters of Nugget make their appearances. I think returning readers will get a kick out of seeing their favorites have their moments, and there are plenty of hints of who might be finding their happy ending in upcoming books. I thought there was a great deal right with the book, I liked the characters and the town, I felt like there was a tension for a good portion of the book were I was waiting for something big and dramatic to happen. And while there were a few tense moments, I never really got the crisis that I was expecting. Not that I wanted anything bad to happen, but the switching between three character voices had me thinking that the third party might be more problematic than they were. I thought the solution was pretty obvious about halfway through the book, but know people can be stubborn and blind to the simple solutions- so the path the story took was realistic in that regard. I did enjoy the read, although because I already had my mind set of how things would be resolved, I did find my mind wondering a bit as I read. This is my fault, and the oddness that is life right now, but I need to be honest that there were moments the book did not have my full attention.

Choosing You is a good contemporary romance that I enjoyed reading.

I think that perhaps I'm not the right audience for this book – I'm a lover of romance stories, but I feel as if this one was directed toward an older crowd. Not due to the age of the characters or the presence of children (I've read a romance between 80 year olds and it brought tears to my eyes), but rather it simply read like one of the romances that sits on my grandma's bookshelf. The tone is a little flatter than younger romances, and the chemistry between Brynn and Ethan is lacking slightly. I hate to give this book any lower than 3 stars, because it is a beautiful story that I think many readers will enjoy, however this simply wasn't the romance for me.

Heartfelt, emotional and charming, contemporary romance fans will find much to enjoy in Stacy Finz’s latest romance set in the small town of Nugget, California, Choosing You.

Brynn Barnes’ life was as close to perfect as it was possible to get – until a tragic twist of fate left her widowed and her beloved son Henry in a wheelchair. Brynn would go to the ends of the earth for Henry and it breaks her heart to see her son suffering. Determined to try every single avenue for Henry, when she hears of a young doctor who is leading a clinical trial that could give her son the opportunity to walk again, Brynn packs her bags, leaves her life in Manhattan behind and heads to Nugget, California, with a heart full of hope. Brynn cannot wait to see the smile on Henry’s face again, but little does she realize that in Nugget she is going to find not just an opportunity to start again but the chance to mend a heart that had been wracked by grief, disappointment and despair.

After the acrimonious end of his marriage, Ethan Daniels had sworn off women for good. Having barely emerged unscathed from his divorce, Ethan has certainly got a lot on his hands juggling the demands of his busy career with bringing up his young daughter single-handedly. Romance is certainly not on the agenda for him, but he immediately finds himself intrigued by the beguiling Brynn Barnes and charmed by her young son, Henry. As fate seems keen to push him and Brynn together, Ethan knows that he should keeps things strictly platonic with Brynn, but the more time he spends in her company, the more he finds his resolve to stay single crumbling with each passing day…

Moving to Nugget might be the best decision Brynn has ever made. The town begins to soothe her spirit and she starts to relish being a part of the close-knit community. However, it is handsome doctor Ethan who has made the biggest impact on her. Romance was not on Brynn’s list of priorities when she moved to Nugget, but as her feelings for the good-looking medic intensify, will Brynn find the courage to put her life on the line again? Or will she let this chance at happiness slip through her fingers?

A heart-warming and absorbing tale of second chances, starting over and the healing power of love, Stacy Finz’s Choosing You is a small-town romance that delivers on all counts. Witty, uplifting and poignant, Choosing You is a story of hope, renewal and courage about two lost souls who had given up on love who find their soul mate in the most unexpected of circumstances that brings a tear to the eye while also tickling the funny bone.

Ethan and Brynn are two brilliantly drawn characters it is impossible not to be charmed by. They are loyal, steadfast, flawed and nuanced and readers will relate to and fall in love with them. Their romance is believable, emotional and intense and sure to leave readers with a great big smile on their face.

A brilliantly written contemporary tale, fans of small town romances will not want to miss Stacy Finz’s latest, Choosing You.

Nice romance book which was a slow burner for me but nevertheless a good read and one ☝️ would recommend. Being a single parent who doesn’t want the one to make their life complete.
Many thanks to both netgalley and the author for allowing me to read this book in exchange for a frank & honest review.

Choosing You is a fantastic read! Very insightful and realistic with regards to the struggles of single parents and the added complications of loss, addiction, and children recovering from the physical and emotional wounds that occurred. The natural outdoor western setting adds to the beauty of new found love and the healing sounds of children’s laughter. Great plot lines for discussions that foster hope that hard work and determination to overcome troubles in life can lead to success and happiness.

I am not often drawn to romances that involve single parents and/or children, only for the sheer fact I sometimes feel like I can’t relate enough. I am so happy I read this one and I think I need to expand my horizons.

This was a tender romance of two single parents finding love after loss and divorce, and finding comfort and friendship in an unexpected place.

Nugget was the quintessential small town, the people and the landscape set the perfect backdrop. Brynn and Ethan were so patient with one another and this was definitely a slow burn romance but when things finally got steamy it did not slow down.

I thought the author did an excellent job at writing the complexity and reality of Ethan and his ex wife’s relationship, it felt very real and not a fleshed out point of conflict.

If you like a slow burn romance focused on second chances this ones for you.

Choosing You by Stacy Finz is the 11th book in the Nugget romance series, and my first book by this author. I was not lost at all reading this book, so it works as a stand alone. This book takes place in Nugget, California. Brynn and her son, Henry, travel from their home is New York to Nugget for a clinical trial. Henry was injured in an accident that killed his father. Dr. Ethan Daniels has been through a bitter divorce, and is raising his daughter alone. Brynn and Ethan are attracted to each other, and the romance goes from there. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read Holding On the next book about Ethan's ex wife finding romance. If you enjoy romances, I highly recommend this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I devoured this book! When I was gifted this ARC from NetGalley I was unaware that this was a part of a series. Now I'm so excited that I can purchase 13 other books from this author.

What I loved: The writing, the setting, the characters, the character development... pretty much all of it.

This book is from three perspectives and alternates periodically throughout the chapters. The main perspectives are Brynne (a mom from New York, transplanted to Nugget, CA for her son to see a specialist following an accident that killed her husband and injured her son, Henry), Ethan (pediatric orthopedic surgeon and divorced dad), and Joey (Ethan's ex-wife, recovering addict). I entered into this book thinking it would be a typical RomCom but in truth, there wasn't much pure "comedy". There wasn't banter back and forth or any silly mishaps. This is a romance about a mother fighting for the best medical care for her son who happens to fall head over heels in love with his doctor. The doctor truly struggles with the ethical implications of this relationship. Their romance really felt realistic (as realistic as can be in a romcom or womens fiction novel). I loved their date scene and the following truck seen. (If you know, you know).

What I didn't love: Joey. ugh. I was so over her and frankly I was over Ethan standing up for her. I felt like he made the lines of their relationship really blurry then expected Brynne to know that he was over her. Ummmm, Ethan, honey, you aren't behaving as if you are over her.... so how is Brynne supposed to magically get it? No thank you. I really didn't like that he refused to be honest about some situations that Joey pushed him into simply because he didn't want to make Joey look bad or "bad mouth her". Brynne is supposedly the love of his life and he can't honestly express how he feels about his ex that almost got his daughter murdered and almost ruined his career? I don't buy that.

I loved this book and like I already said, I flew through it in record time. Thank you Netgalley and Kensington Publishing for the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Brynn is fighting for her son's recovery after a fatal accident in which she lost her husband. Ethan is a brilliant orthopedic doctor and a cowboy raising his little girl after a bitter divorce.
The story was slow-paced, the characters were gripping, the romance was good but it felt like there was too much of Ethan's ex and whatnot for a majority of the book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book received from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The small town of Nugget, California, has become one of my favorite places to visit. Choosing You, the eleventh book from Stacy Finz's Nugget series, is an emotional read with charming characters and an engaging plot, which is surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. After reading this book and many others in the series, I may have to experience the scenic area for myself when we are able to travel again.

About a year ago, advertising guru and Manhattanite Brynn Barnes lost her husband in a tragic accident. Her eight-year-old son Henry survived, but his legs were severely damaged. Brynn is very hopeful that he will be able to walk again after he receives a promising new treatment developed by Dr. Ethan Daniels, a prominent orthopedic surgeon. Brynn and Henry temporarily relocate to Nugget, and find the townspeople to be amazingly welcoming and helpful.

In addition to his medical practice, Ethan is a successful rancher. Thanks to his ex-wife's horrific behavior, he has sole custody of their six-year-old daughter. He is truly taken with Brynn and they quickly become more than friends. Unfortunately, their road to happiness is fraught with location logistics, guilt and obligation.

I loved this book! I read it from cover to cover in less than a day. Brynn and Ethan are well-defined characters and there was never a moment I did not want them to be together. They have great chemistry, which Ms. Finz crafted with care and lust. Ethan stole my heart with his extraordinary goodness and compassion. Brynn's independence and ability to juggle Henry's needs was aweinspriing. Don't pass on the opportunity to spend some time in Nugget.

Stacy Finz is a new-to-me author and after reading, CHOOSING YOU, I will definitely start reading the rest of the books in this series.

CHOOSING YOU is a slow burn romance between Ethan, a rancher-doctor (who helps ailing children...swoon!) and Brynn, a widowed single mother with a paralyzed 8 year old son (*heart melt*)

The story is set in the small town of Nugget, NV, and I loved the small town feels with the western vibe.

The conflicts int his story were believable and authentic: Ethan's conflict with his ex-wive Joey; Brynn's misgivings towards her deceased ex-husband. The steady, natural growth of the romance between Ethan and Brnn kept me engaged in the story from beginning to end. This was a wonderful read.

Thank you o Net Galley and Kensington books for a complimentary e-book. All views expressed in this review are mine.

The community of Nugget appears so welcoming it makes you want to visit there. This is another great second chance story. Bryan moved there in the hope of helping her son. The surgeon Ethan is Brynn's last hope. They developed a relationship.

This was a sweet story and at times difficult for me when it has some heartbreaking issues when it has to deal with children suffering. So we meet Brynne who wants the best for her son Henry who unfortunately not only los the use of his legs due to and accident but lost his dad at the same time. She finds a doctor that an help him but has to move to do so, said doctor allows her the use of his cabin on his land and he will also be around, non of them is looking for a relationship since she lost her husband and he just got out of a bitter divorce. I liked Ethan I did, and I liked I did, but I found that there was just too many pages allotted to him and his exes past and present issues, and relationship that could have been omitted. I think I would have enjoyed the story more..

Choosing You is another great addition to this series. I love returning to the small town of Nugget, CA. All of the characters are wonderful, and I really enjoyed Brynn and Ethan's sweet romance. I didn't want their story to end and can't wait to get an update on them in the next Nugget novel.

So much to love about this book!! This entire series has been amazing and this is one of the best stories yet. Strong, heartwarming characters that will steal your heart and a story so captivating that the romance that eventually happens is just the icing on the cake. Henry definitely steals the show in this book. I highly recommend this one to everyone.

Brynn's son needs another surgery and they have to travel to California. When Brynn start spending more time with her son's doctor, sparks starts to fly.
This story is wonderful, I did enjoy it a lot.

I was immediately attracted to the adorable cover art, not realising that this was part of a series.

Having not read any of the previous ten (count 'em! TEN) books in the Nugget series, I was a little apprehensive that I would not be able to get into the book straight away, and be navigating a lot of details that might be in-jokes for readers of the series. (I'm sure there are plenty!)

I needn't have worried. Choosing You is a delightful but often poignant tale of two people falling in love against all the odds. Both have children and are navigating being single parents under the spectre of their respective ex's. While I definitely empathised with Brynn, I ultimately found Ethan to be a more rounded character. Maybe it was his dry sense of humour? Maybe it was the Grey's Anatomy references ;) Either way, they made a great couple.

There's also a third POV in this story, and at first, I was wondering why we needed it, but ultimately I think it gave the reader more empathy towards the character.

Finally, Nugget is so utterly charming that I would happily live there! I will definitely be reading more from this author and this series.
