A GREAT LOL read!

After falling asleep on a letter (overworked) Ainsley never intended anyone to see…her boss, Chase, may have a new attitude toward her and their work relationship. This book had heat, humor, great characters and the story was FANTASTIC! I loved this stand-alone work-place romance by Julie Morgan! Misadventures With A Lawyer had great random lines that made me laughing so hard! Misadventures with a Lawyer is a definite recommended read!

Chase is successful both when it comes to his profession in the courtroom and when it comes to his way with the ladies. When his latest case takes a turn, he tasks Ainsley with working that night to gather the information he needs with no regard for whatever plans she may have while he has no intention of cancelling the date he had planned.

Ainsley has reminded her inconsiderate boss numerous times this week that she needs time off to be the maid of honor at her best friend’s wedding but now she finds herself working and in danger of letting her down. Who can blame her for drowning her sorrows in his scotch and writing a letter that shares exactly what she thinks about him both personally and professionally however when Chase finds the letter that is when things really begin to get interesting.

Chase is focused on his career and after his last relationship he isn’t looking for love while Ainsley is fun and feisty. The chemistry between them is electric and they prove that they are what each other needs as when their relationship is challenged they find the perfect balance between his need to protect her and her need to be strong and independent.

Full disclosure: I was very hesitant to read this book because my last (and only one thus far) experience with this author was … mmmm, not good.

But then I started thinking and I realized I have never not read a Misadventures book so I dove in headfirst, and you know what … not bad, not bad at all :) A complete 180 from my first read by this author and I’m super stoked about that.

I enjoyed the spark between Ainsley and Chase. It was more than a sexual spark; their story had spark and as individuals they had spark. The spark made the story that much more interesting and quite frankly, unputdownable. I read the book cover to cover in one sitting and that’s pretty rare for me. I liked the storyline as well, It read realistically and relatable to an office romance. Overall, I’d have to say well done!

Misadventures with a Lawyer by Julie Morgan is a steamy romance that was an absolute delight to read. I enjoyed reading this addition to the Misadventures series! A short but entertaining, extra steamy romance that leaves you with the warm fuzzies and not a cliffhanger.

The book was steamy and a quick read. Unfortunately, that’s about all I can say about it.

Ainsley’s character was super inconsistent. If she was the woman that was confident and sure of herself throughout I think I would have liked her better. But she seemed so not put together at the beginning of the book.

Chase, well, the letter had it right, he was an asshole. And I don’t understand a strong woman falling in love with someone like him.

The beginning had some great life of a lawyer parts. Ie being over worked. And then some parts that brought me out because it wasn’t accurate. Ie the prosecution gets to cross examine witnesses.

So yeah. #misadventuresofalawyer #netgalley

I need a defense attorney for my heart! Misadventures with a Lawyer is a steamy romance with plenty of drama and laughter, with some tender moments mixed in as well.

When Chase Newstrom puts his need to get some action above Ainsley's request for time off to attend her best friend's wedding rehearsal, it results in the most hilarious antics...and that's only the beginning!

While Ainsley waits on results from the bar exam, she fights the growing attraction and hatred she feels for Chase, who just so happens to be her boss. She's fiercely independent and won't tolerate being walked on...too bad it's only when she's drunk.

Soon, Chase discovers Ainsley from a whole different point of view, he's left to question what he really wants in life...a career and meaningless hookups or someone to share his ups and down with.

Unfortunately for them both, there's an ex that won't get the hint, and the risk of discovery that could ruin Ainsley's upcoming career.

I enjoyed watching the change in both characters, especially as they fight for what they want, career or relationship, whether it's for the best or not. I listened to the audiobook and it wonderfully brought Ainsley and Chase to life, so enjoy it that way if you can!

Fun, quirky and steamy office romance. Was it a bit insta lust and love... probably at least on Chase's part but sometimes you just can't see what is right in front of you. You assume that you have a type and just roll with it until your intern shows you what she's made of. Ainsley knows what she wants and generally knows exactly how to get it except for Chase. Sometimes all it takes is a good Scotch to get it out in the open but the gal will show her backbone and it's a great thing to see!

Misadventures with a Lawyer is a fantastic read. I really loved Ainsley and Chase's dynamics. Ainsley doesn't hold back when it comes to how she feels about Chase. She is feisty and smart. Chase is a hot shot lawyer who knows how to get justice. There is amazing chemistry between Chase and Ainsley. This is one hot read that will leave a smile on your face by the time you are done reading.

I feel like this one was missing a lot from other "Misadventure" books in the series. I didn't really understand the connection between Chase and Ainsley. Their "meet-cute-but-not-really" seemed weird, and I am supposed to believe that he instantly finds her attractive after working with her? Eh.

East read, finished in one Saturday. Book lacked substance- didn’t feel much for either character. No depth or development of story just was kind of there.

Misadventures with a Lawyer is a modern romance that explores the dangers of love in the workplace. I’ll admit that I wasn’t too fond of Chase at the start as he was an oblivious manwhore. I loved Ainsley even if I thought her taste in men was questionable. The heart wants what the heart wants. This fun tale will make you giggle and sigh. I loved Ainsley’s sister and hope she gets a story. This is a fun escape.

Irritated at her boss for making her work instead of attending her friends wedding, Ainsley decided to drink his good scotch and tell him just what she thinks of him in a letter. However, Chase was never supposed to find her still in his office the next day sleeping off the booze on his desk. But when he reads her written words will he finally see the person she really is? And will that person be just what he has been looking for? With adorable characters and a story that had me laughing out loud and cheering for the underdog this was another fabulous addition to the series. Julie Morgan knows exactly what the readers need to male the pages turn quickly.
