I really liked this book, but I felt that there were lulls in the story that needed some help.. However I found this to be really enjoyable and entertaining and would recommend.

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

This has been on my NetGalley shelf for over a year, and I still haven’t picked it up. I've tried, but it just isn't for me (right now). I hope other people enjoy it more than I did.

Thank you to Books go Social and Netgalley for providing me this arc but I ultimately couldn't connect to the characters' romance or believed enough in their chemistry to continue.

This was a really cute lighthearted romance story, with good wit throughout. Some parts had me just laughing out loud!

This book is based on our main character Angela who has been dating her boyfriend Ben for a while, when she finds out she is going to lose her apartment she broaches the subject with him and he doesn't seem too keen, but being on the verge of being homeless her knight in shining armour (her neighbour) Colin comes to her rescue offering her his spare room.

I really like that this book was based in Covid times so felt relatable in a sense and handled these topics well throughout, I don't' have too much to base this off of though as this is my first book written in this environment. However this book only got 3 stars because Angela was a little annoying towards Colin throughout the book, particularly towards the end, and the book cover overall is just a little bland, it wouldn't be my first pick in a line up compared to some of the other books in this genre out at the moment.

Think we have all had enough of lockdown so reading this book wasn’t quite what I expected. I didn’t find it particularly gripping and did struggle to finish it. I did do it sessions but took far longer than I usually spend on a book. As I was lucky enough to be chosen to read this book by both the author and netgalley I felt obliged to complete it. If I had picked this up from the shelf I probably wouldn’t have got passed chapter 4

Found the heroine utterly unlikable, and then zero chemistry with the hero. Didn't see it develop, either, unfortunately. Sadly, a miss for me

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This day's the pandemic is everywhere around us, in movies, series and book's.. It became something familiar to us and we kinda forgot how insane it was when the first lock dawn happened.. So when I started reading this book I guess I had big expectation and sadly I was disappointed because it felt like it was forced. I just couldn't find the connection between the main haracters, but I must say that it had very funny moments.
So in the end it wasn't that bad still I have read better pandemic based on books.

I received a copy of Love and Lockdown from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I have been slowly ready to begin seeing the pandemic pop up in fiction. This was a great way to engage. It was a sweet accidental story, only made possible through all the unfortunate crises that the pandemic brought on. It was a nice and easy read that did not require heavy lifting from the reader. Would recommend!

This was a really sweet and wonderful book set in lockdown, meaning it was a rather relatable and realistic storyline. I really loved the connection between the two main characters & can we please talk about how beautiful that cover is?

I felt I needed some time before reading my first Covid and lockdown-set novel, but maybe I didn't wait long enough. I didn't find this book particularly realistic, and there wasn't a lot of chemistry between Angela and Colin.

I also found the writing quite clichéd and jittery, the book definitely needed some extra editing and cleaning up.

This book just didn't do it for me. I wasn't a fan of the writing the style and the story had a lot of flaws. I barely could finish this one.

This was such a cute and funny read. I enjoyed those aspects of the book, but the romance wasn't really realistic for me. It just felt a bit forced and it felt like the characters didn't have chemistry. It was pretty one-sided which I didn't enjoy. Other than that, the concept was cool and very much with the times.

Attempting to read a Pandemic-centered book may have been a mistake on my part because I struggled to connect with the characters. It was generally enjoyable but it did take me a while to complete it.

In a slightly macabre way, I was looking forward to reading my first book set in lockdown. However, this wasn't for me. A sweet enough romance, but it lacked the realism that I wanted.

Thank you to Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book was just OK. It took me forever to finish. Cute plot, very fitting for the times. Unfortunately I would not recommend this one.

I truly struggled with this book. I picked it up and put it down and tried to read again. 50% in I gave up. The things I struggled with; the chemistry between Angela and Colin, her quick decision to move into a small apartment with someone she previously despised, there seemed to be no reason she despised him. I was looking forward to a book about being locked down during Covid and falling in love. This was not what I got. I struggled with the descriptions as I could picture nothing in my mind, such as the apartment, which seemed freezing and dark. My biggest struggle was there seemed to be no depth to the story. I wanted to root for them as a couple but in the end; I found I just didn't care enough.

What a nice find. This was the first book I've read from this author and I really enjoyed it. The story was different from anything I've read recently and really captured my attention. It was so well written and the characters were fantastic.
