Nina Fleet owns a Georgia B&B in the small town of Cymbelline. Her constant tenant is Harry Westcott, an out-of-work actor whom she's allowed to live for free in the tower room, where he spent summers as a child when the large Queen Anne Victorian belonged to his late aunt. While her business is thriving, she figures it could always use help, and signs up to host a booth at the bridal expo, offering her B&B as a wedding destination where couples could be married in her generous garden. While there, she hears two contentious arguments: one between Virgie and a local florist, with whom she apparently has a past, and another between Virgie and her friend Roxanna Quarry, who owns an event planning business.

But when there is a gown finale, when the large cake is opened, Roxanna tumbles out, apparently strangled by the colorful scarf she was wearing. Now Virgie is the main suspect in the murder, and Nina refuses to believe she's guilty. What's worse, after she and Harry pick up Gustopher, Roxanna's orphaned dog, Nina goes to Roxanna's home the next day to return an ominous item she accidentally picked up. But when she finds the home trashed, she calls the police and now she's smack in the middle of the investigation whether she wants it or not.

Then she learns that her ex-husband is getting married again, to a woman half his age. While she doesn't love Cam anymore, the fact still sends her reeling, and to top it off, Harry discloses a long-held secret that doesn't help. Now Nina needs to find a murderer among a roomful of suspects, and put her own feelings on hold. Easy to say, but doing might be harder when things are beginning to change...

This is the third book in the series and I have to say that so far it happens to be my favorite. I enjoyed the last one quite a bit, but this book takes us a little bit more into the lives of Nina and Harry, and it explains some things about him; I've always felt that Harry is aloof, and this book gives us a hint as to his past.

When we look for the murderer, we learn more about Roxanna, and it's not nice. The persona that she showed Nina isn't the same persona she showed other people, and even though Nina finds these things out, she still wants justice for her friend.

When we finally discover the murderer and the reason for the killing, it's believable and the climax is definitely worth waiting for. Then, life for Nina can go back to normal, or maybe it won't...a delightful read, and I eagerly look forward to the next in the series. Recommended.

This is one of my favourite series and this installment did not disappoint.

At the fall Bridal Expo event's organizer Roxanna Quarry falls out of a prop cake. It soon becomes clear her death was not an accident. But who? Usually there is a plethora of suspects, but now there is just the one: her business partner Vergie Hamilton. Even though town gossip Mason Denman claims he can easily name six people that hated her, everyone else seems to have loved Roxanna. Even her ex still loves her.

Nina sets out to investigate. She accidentally took something from Roxanna's house and now someone seems to be after her too.

Love how the relationship between Nina and Harry is developing too.

"Peaches and Schemes" the 3rd instalment in the "Georgia B&B Mystery" series by Anna Gerard. I love visiting Cymbeline, Georgia and Nina Fleet’s B&B. I always like a small southern town setting where almost everyone knows one another. Makes for fun and often quirky characters. This go around we start off at a Bridal Fair and Nina is trying to get wedding bookings for the B&B but it doesn’t go off without a hitch ...Murder

The Protagonist Nina and her furbaby named Matilda, "Mattie", the Australian shepherd dog are super likeable. I love Harry too and hope there might be romance in their future. We get to meet a lovely guy named Gustover who I hope visits again.

The story was well paced, I found I couldn’t put the book down as I wanted to know who the killer was. I’m looking forward to a book 4 in the future and find out where things go between Nina and Harry.

I requested and received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from Crooked Lane Books and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my OWN.

Another fantastic addition to the series!

A Georgia B&B cozy mystery series is slowly making its way into my list of favorite series. Absolutely fantastic character portrayal and well-written mystery.

The ending's superb - the identity of the killer was unexpected and a total shocker. We also have a dash of romance - a twist just before the story ends. I am certainly waiting to see how this is brought forward in the next book.

Highly recommended to all cozy mystery lovers!

I enjoyed the characters and the small town atmosphere. The plot does not get bogged down with unnecessary details but speeds along. The story begins at a bridal expo and ends at a wedding. I am intrigued by the developing friendship between Nina, the b&b owner, and Harry, her temporary tenant. There are lots of secrets and suspects and Nina is constantly surprised as she learns of old and new scandals. She is the new kid in town and she is lucky enough to make new friends with people who grew up in Cymbeline. I look forward to more mysteries in this series.

This title is the third in this cozy mystery series featuring Nina Fleet that is set in Georgia. Nina has become an inn keeper. Hoping to increase her business, she decides to look into becoming a destination wedding site. This leads her to her town’s bridal expo. Readers of cozies will not be surprised to learn that there is a murder at the bridal fashion show. Who wanted to kill a young wedding planner? To make things harder, the victim was a friend of Nina’s. Naturally Nina investigates and, of course, the case will be solved. Along the way readers will enjoy a story that is what a cozy should be. It is not too violent, the protagonist is likeable and there is a male for Nina to relate to. He is her tenant and an out of work actor.

Come and enjoy a visit in Georgia. Readers don’t need to have read the other books in the series. They can just begin here.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Nina Fleet (Nine-ah) is a new B&B owner. She is looking into expanding her B&B into a wedding venue. The town of Cymbeline is hosting a Bridal Expo and Nina has a booth. While there, she overhears an argument between two partners (Roxanna and Virgie). Interestingly enough, Roxanna turns up dead. Virgie is the prime suspect, but Nina doesn't think she did it. With the help of her affable, handsome lodger, Harry Wescott, Nine sets out to find the killer. While Nina and Harry are rescuing Roxanna's goldendoodle, Nina observes a car out the window. Then, once home she discovers lots of money in Gustopher's treat container. There are several potential suspects, an ex-husband, as well as a myriad of people who didn't like Roxanna.

I enjoyed this cozy. There is a little romance and lots of twists. The dogs are an adorable addition to the story.

Another favorite by a great author. The plot of the story was very well written. The author really draws the reader in as you read. I felt like I was an unnamed character in the story.

This was the first book in this series that I've read, and it came as a bit of a surprise that there were no guests staying at the B&B. The reason makes sense, Nina needed the week off to attend a bridal expo. Once I wrapped my head around the marketing decision Nina had made, I found this to be a fun and fast read.

Delightfully focused on the mystery, this cozy offers up plenty of suspects to keep armchair sleuths entertained. I also found that the relationship between Nina and her sidekick Harry kept the mystery light and fun. With suspects galore, this one will keep you guessing until the end, especially once the twists start kicking in. And speaking of twists, not everyone is who they seem to be in this clever cozy. Watch for hidden agendas and an ending that will leave you guessing about the next book.

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I thought it started a bit slow but it ended with a bang. I liked the characters, I was not expecting who the bad guy was at all. The climax of the story happened pretty fast. #PeachesandSchemes #NetGalley

I loved getting to know Nina Fleet, owner and proprietor of Fleet House B&B in Cymbeline, Georgia! What a great character! Nina went into good friend mode when a new friend, Roxanna. died unexpectedly. Nina picked up Roxie's dog (Gustopher) to care for him after Roxie's sudden and shocking death. In the course of gathering dog belongings, Nina grabs the dog treats canister along with food, bowls, leashes, and toys. Not until she was back at the B&B with her dog and Gus outside playing, did she open the jar to find an unexpected surprise. One thing leads to another, and before long Nina is investigating what really happened. Her friend and temporary tenant Harry offers assistance along with unexpected information. So many small town connections are found.

Within the book are a multitude of emotions and behaviors, with some pretty big surprises before it's all finished. Between wonderful characters, idyllic settings, and sweet pups, there is never a dull paragraph! It was a delight to read and would highly recommend this cozy mystery.

Special thanks to NetGalley and publisher Crooked Lane Books for allowing me to read and review an advanced copy of the book.

Great fun and really diverse characters! Nina left the rat race and (with her rescue Aussie Shepherd) and runs a B&B in a grand home she bought at auction, Harry is not only a known actor but the house had belonged to his aunt. The coroner is not only a popular and colorful minister but is a forensic buff with his own lab in the basement of the Funeral Home that he runs! Give you a clue about the *characters*? The only thing that a newcomer to the series will miss is why Harry's room is in attic which is oddly accessible. So add that to the mystery of who killed the victim and why. Rather fast paced and with lots of misdirection, plot twists, red herrings, and humor that kept me turning pages! Loved it! The publisher's blurb is great, too!

I am attached to the characters in Anna Gerard's A Georgia B&B Mystery series. They are both complex and likable. Without giving away spoilers I had a difficult time with 'Peaches and Schemes' because one important character in the book played a large role and then just disappeared with never a mention. This is a huge flaw for me. There is so much more I want to experience with the town of Cymbeline, so I look forward to more. I hope there are no more 'misses' like in this book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

To promote business for her B&B, Nina takes a booth at the Veils and Vanities Bridal Expo. The expo is run by Virgie Hamilton, owner of Virgie's Formals and Roxanne Quarry, an event planner .When Roxanne comes tumbling out of a prop wedding cake, it is initially assumed she was strangled by her scarf getting caught on something inside the cake. When her death is declared as murder, Virgie is arrested due to an argument Nina overheard.
As Nina investigates Roxanne's murder, she discovers she actually knew very little about Roxanne. She also discovers a surprising connection between her current tenant Harry and Roxanne as she looks into possible suspects. Loved how the story wrapped up.

Witty, enjoyable read like a cozy mystery book should read. Characters who make you laugh, you find relatable and enjoy their story make it that much more enjoyable. A bride adds a new scope to every story to make a bit more fun

A new, sweet cozy mystery series for me! Nina is an innkeeper at a bed and breakfast in Georgia. Nina is trying to get into the wedding venue market and discovers a murder that needs to be solved. I inhaled all 3 of the books in this series in just a matter of days and I’m eagerly awaiting #4!

A bed and breakfast, destination weddings and murder? Mix all of that together and here is perfectly constructed mystery. Full of small town antics, drama, and intrigue this is a story that just won’t stop!

I love this series! A southern town in Georgia, not far from Savannah, and the whole town is based on Shakespeare. Definitely a different concept from the usual small town murder mystery series. I thoroughly enjoy all the different references to Shakespeare's works and a bed and breakfast location keeps new guests checking in with each new book. In this one, local business owners attend a wedding expo and the murder victim makes an unexpected appearance!
