A delightful visit to Cymbeline, GA, and Nina Fleet’s B&B. Nina’s right in the heart of things at the bridal expo when she hears an argument between the two event planners. Not long after, one of the women is dead. Harry’s back with a male escort scheme brewing and with his good looks he secures bookings on the spot. As Nina tries to figure out who killed Roxanna, the killer is on to her snooping.

A quick fun read with memorable characters. Nice and cozy, just the way I like it!

What a fun cozy! Okay, someone dies and that leads to all sorts of drama. But the setting is nice, the characters evolve and oh the secrets that are uncovered. Then there is Harry. First he seems like a mooch and rather young but that is my perception. He certainly matures and grows on you as the story unfolds. I notice the B&B doesn't seem to have any guests that make it into the storyline. Nina is a pretty good main character. She manages to get involved without any effort. The town felt like a small town but big enough for emergency care, multiple doctors, bridal expo and a rather robust downtown. It would be a fun town to visit and stroll along the streets.

This was a good escape read. Thanks for the opportunity to escape reality for awhile. I liked it.

Peaches and Schemes is the third book in this fun, fast paced series by Anna Gerard.
Nina Fleet is a fun character, who really has a strong persona. I felt an immediate connection with her.
In this story, Nina is hoping to drum up some business for her new bed and breakfast, so participating in a bridal show makes perfect sense.
Nina is present for a couple of heated arguments between some local residents, so when a tragic death occurs at the show, she feels it’s up to her to get involved.
Nina and her friend/tenant Harry make a good duo in this great addition to the series.

An interesting mystery that captured my interest immediately. I love B and B settings in a story. The story also has a good pace and well developed characters. This book is the third in the series and now I will go back and read books 1 and 2.

Kindle Copy for Review from NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books.

I received a free, advance copy of this book and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Bridal expos can be a deadly affair.

B &B owner Nina decides to get a table at the show to drum up business but gets more than she bargain when the show unveils its show stopping wedding cake on the runaway. Instead of flowers garnishing he cake, her friend is found dead as accessory.

Nina will avenge her friend’s death as she finds the killer especially, since she heard her friend arguing earlier with her business partner that she shared with the local police.

She will uncover things about her friend that will surprise her as she sets to find justice. A well rounded plot.

Like the two previous offerings in the Georgia B & B series, Peaches and Schemes does not disappoint. The lovely setting of Cymbeline, Georgia, the crazy cast of characters and the hint of romance kept me turning pages from the very first paragraph. I am truly enjoying this series and cannot wait for the next adventure starring Nina and Harry. I recommend this to all of my library patrons looking for a fun cozy to read. Thank you for such a great book!

This was the first "cozy" mystery I have ever read (I'm predominantly a fantasy reader) and boy oh boy was I surprised!! This was such a great palette cleanser and I've definitely found a new favourite author. I'm currently on book one and will continue to pick up anything that Anna Gerard puts out.

I love this series and living in Georgia many of the places I recognize. This is the third Georgia B&B mystery and Nina Fleet is mixed up in another murder investigation. She is part of a Veils and Vanities Bridal Expo hoping to get more visitors to her place. Her new friend Roxanna is murdered and Nina is on the hunt for the killer. This is a fun, fast paced read.

Peaches and Schemes is the third book in the Georgia B&B mystery series. I enjoy the main characters, Nina and Harry. They have an amazing chemistry together and I enjoy their back and forth. I am a big fan of the series and the storylines.

Nina decides to tap into the destination wedding market by taking a booth at the Veils and Vanities Bridal Expo. The twice-yearly event is sponsored by the town's two wedding pros: Virgie Hamilton, the sixtysomething owner of Virgie's Formals, and Roxanna Quarry, a Gen X event planner and Nina's new friend. But everything goes wrong during the expo's fashion show, when Roxanna comes tumbling out of an oversized prop wedding cake, strangled to death by her own scarf.

Nina decides to do her own investigating. First, however, she and Harry retrieve Roxanna's now ownerless dog, planning to foster him until a new home can be found. But local gossip soon convinces Nina that others beside Virgie might have had reason to murder Roxanna. As Nina gets close to the truth, she's putting her own life at danger. And when Virgie vanishes after being bailed out of jail by an unknown benefactor, Nina fears that if she can't find the dress shop owner in time, tying the knot will take on a whole new meaning for them both.

In this third book, Nina doesn't have any guests so she takes the time to promote her business so we have a different type of storyline and get to meet more locals who may pop up in future books, we'll see.

A step better from the last book is that I felt the mystery was more complex, but on the other hand we're not given a lot of clues to work with so we can't crack the case until Nina does.

A plus with this series is that the author packs a lot of detail into a normal length story. Nina and other characters do a lot. They aren't what I term "marshmallow" books where you can sum up the entire story in one or two sentences.

I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of PEACHES AND SCHEMES (Book 3 of the Georgia B&B Mysteries) by Anna Gerard in exchange for an honest review. Nina (NINE-AH) Fleet is participating in a bridal convention held at a local high school; she’s promoting her B&B, Fleet House, as a destination for weddings, honeymoons, and the various social gathering related to weddings. Nina’s new-ish friend and fellow expo vendor, Roxanna Quarry, is killed and her body revealed during the runway finale. Nina is soon donning her “Secret Squirrel” top hat and enlisting her tenant Harry Westcott to join with her in unveiling the killer. Nina’s investigation sadly reveals her friend wasn’t the nice person she seemed; as a result, more than one person had motive for murder. As the killer engages in additional and escalating acts, Nina’s march toward answers must reach its destination before the murderer finds a new victim.

I liked this book and enjoy the series. I recommend this book to fans of cozy mysteries featuring murder, Shakespeare themes, wedding planning, B&Bs, dogs, dog fostering, and deceptive personas.

I would like to first thank NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for the advanced copy of this book. I received no compensation for my review, and all thoughts and opinions expressed are entirely my own.
This is the 3rd book in the Georgia B&B Mystery series in which I found a joy to read. The book has amusing and fun characters which the author creatively constructed. I enjoyed the relationship between the main character Nina Fleet and Harry A. Westcott III, in which they began as "frenemies" and by the end of the story improved to a more meaningful connection. It is a quick, easy read and thankfully not so easy to guess whodunit. Plus, as a bonus you get free pointers in creating a beautiful floral bouquets. What's not to like.
Looking forward to read the previous stories in this series.

Peaches and Schemes by Anna Gerard is an advance reader copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Nina Fleet owns Fleet House, a B&B retreat in Ambeline, Georgia. She is participating in a trade show along with Roxanne, who is an event planner who is specializing in weddings. There is a fashion show ending with an oversized wedding cake that opens and out falls Nina's friend Roxanne.
This was a good story. I would love to spend a few days at Nina's B&B. As I had not read any of Anne Gerard's books, I did not know the characters, but once I got to meet some of the characters, I enjoyed the story. I was totally surprised by the ending.

Peaches & Schemes is the 3rd book in the Georgia B&B cozy mystery series. This is an enjoyable series with likable characters and an interesting mystery. Nina Fleet owns a B&B and is looking for ways to increase the number of guests she gets. Nina's friend, Roxanna, talks her into having a table at the popular Bridal Expo. When Roxanna is found dead, Nina wants to find out what happened to her friend. The book picks up quickly from this point. Nina's friend Harry is staying on the 3rd floor of the B&B. He never seems to have any money but he is likable, helpful and funny and we learn a little more about Harry in this book. Nina and Harry work together to solve Roxanna's death. There are accidents, dishonesty, secrets, and a happy ending! This was a very enjoyable cozy mystery. #NetGalley #PeachesAndSchemes

Nina hates weddings but because of her business she has to attend a wedding show. She and Harry work on solving the murder. Lots of suspects and lots of sub plots. Unexpected ending and possible romance between Nina and Harry.

This is the third book in the series and the one I've enjoyed the most so far.

Nina owns a B & B and is trying to diversify into the wedding business , so she's persuaded to take a stand at a local wedding fayre by her friend Roxie. Unfortunately, Roxie is murdered and it seems she wasn't as popular with other people as she was with Nina.

The relationship between Nina and Harry is much less antagonistic this time and that makes it a much more enjoyable read. There are plenty of suspects and red herrings. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Peaches and Schemes is the third installment in the A Georgia B&B Mystery series set in Cymbeline, Georgia and featuring innkeeper, Nina Fleet. Nina's friend, Roxanna Quarry has talked Nina into having a booth at the local Bridal Expo. Nina isn't too keen on weddings herself but knowing that hosting a few events will put Fleet House on the map, she approaches the day with a positive attitude. That is until she stumbles upon a vendor booth with a banner advertising Plus One. And much to her dismay, the one and only Harry Westcott is the gentleman running the booth.

Capping off the Expo is a runway pageant and sadly the pop up wedding cake finale reveals the strangled body of Roxie. Nina overheard an earlier argument between Roxie and Virgie Hamilton, her co-event planner which leads her to think that perhaps Virgie is the killer. But as Harry and Nina set out to investigate it becomes clear that there was a lot more to Roxie than Nina knew.

A fast paced plot with the return of series regulars. I get a huge kick out of the relationship between Nina and Harry and with the cliffhanger at the end of this addition to the series I hope Harry is here to stay. This book can read as a stand alone but I highly recommend starting from the beginning of the series to catch up with Nina, her dog Mattie and of course the delightful Harry Westcott.

I received an advanced copy of Peaches and Schemes from NetGalley via Crooked Lane Books. While not required to write a review I am happy to offer my honest opinion.

This moves pretty darn quick for a cozy mystery and I was quite delighted! The characters were fun, the mystery and red herring were well done, and there was even a few fun facts I learned. This was the first in the series for me, but I’m looking forward to both reading the other books as well as future ones in the series.

When Ninah's new friend Roxie gets murdered at the bridal expo it's up to her and Harry to figure out who did it and clear the name of a woman they believe is falsely accused. But the more Ninah digs in the more it becomes apparent that Roxie wasn't as nice a person as Ninah believed. From embezzling from her business partner to blackmail to leaving her ex-husband bancrupt...There's a list of people who wanted her dead.
Will Ninah figure it out in time to prevent Harry from following in Roxie's unfortunate footsteps?
Well written fast paced mystery- the only thing that annoyed me a little was the overuse of the word "actor" while referring to Harry.
