This was such a cute book about a father convincing his son that change is okay. It’s okay to be scared, but it is also important to share your gifts with others. The pictures were full of vibrant colors. I feel like this would be a great story time book for a themes such as changes, sharing, or feelings. I really enjoyed this book. Thank you NetGalley for a copy of this book for an honest review.

This is a super fun and colorful book for kids. The message in the story is great! It is okay to take risks and not worry about the changes and outcomes. The illustrations are bright and simply beautiful! My only critique is that some of the sentences were wordy for kids to grasp.

Overall, a really engaging book for kindergarten kids.

This was a really interesting read. I read it to my 7 year old who absolutely loved it. I believe that there is a lesson to be taught for young and old and this book shouldn't be limited just to a child's story. The lesson taught was really uplifting and encouraging.

Cute story with bright, vibrant illustrations about needing to be brave and face the unknown in order to embrace your full potential. Would be a nice gift to kids who are facing a big life change.

Thanks so much to NetGalley and The National Center for Youth Issues for allowing me to read this book in return for my honest opinions.

I absolutely love the theme of this book, “accepting change and taking risks” but feel it’s a bit wordy for a younger audience. The illustrations are well done, bright and colorful. I feel the book could still relay its message even if it were a bit shorter and more to the point. Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Don't Be Afraid To Drop is a wonderful book about change and transition. It acknowledges the feeling about change and gives great strategies. I really enjoyed the parent tips and the adorable illustrations. I already have a lesson plan idea brewing. This will be a much needed addition to my classroom library. Another winner, Julia Cook! Thanks National Center of Youth Issues and NetGalley for the ARC of this title.

What a sweet little book! Hopp is a lovable raindrop who is afraid to leave his comfortable home in the clouds. His father encourages him to face his fears and try something new. This book would be great for a timid child or for kindergarteners starting many new experiences. Love the artwork!

What a fun children's story about learning to take risks and embracing change! As a teacher this would defineitly be a book that I would share with my young students, especially when facing any new changes in school like starting in a new year level.

I loved this so much!! The illustrations are beautiful, and I love how they pop out on the page! I could see this as a Disney movie. I loved the story and the concept for this book!

I really enjoyed this book as a first grade teacher and is something I would bring into my classroom. This can tie into social emotional skills and well as use to transition into science for the water cycle at the very end. Some pages felt like they had too many words to hold young students attentions.
