Loving and Dying in Notchey Creek by Liz S. Andrews
Book #3: Harley Henrickson Series

Rating: 4/5 stars

**MINI REVIEW**

The Bottom Line: I am finding that any time I get to return to Notchey Creek and Harley Henrickson’s world, I am quite delighted. Andrews has created a wonderfully quirky little town with unique and strong characters that keep wanting more. IN just three books, Harley has evolved so much, and I quite demand that kind of growth out of my characters. Harley’s involvement in each new crime has allowed her to spread her social wings, stretch her considerable intellect, and help a community she dearly loves. When you add in a pig, her ridiculous best friend, her own family, and the various other characters around town, you get a recipe for success. I am also still enjoying the one step above cozy mystery vibe to each plot. The plots are a bit darker and just a smidge more intense than your average cozy and that allows this series to stand apart from the hundreds of others in the genre.

We have a winner!

Loving and Dying in Notchey Creek by Liz S Andrews is a great cozy mystery. This is the third book in A Harley-Henrickson Mystery Series and it was such a fun read.

This story is about Harley on Valentine's Day volunteering at the Reading is Love Festival when she stumbles upon a charred body. outside Briarwood Park.

There is enough twists and turns to keep you wanting more. The characters are well-crafted and the storyline is easy to follow. Unexpected ending and those are my favorite.

Can't wait until the next book!

Loving and Dying in Notchey Creek was a fun, sweet, exciting little read. Who doesn't love cute animals, a beautiful Tennessee back drop, some romance and a little mystery to keep you on your toes.

Harley Henrickson is our hero of this novel. She is a whiskey distiller who stumbles across a crime that she can't turn away from. I loved the description of food and people in this novel and loved that I truly didn't know what was going to happen. A fun bonus in this novel was recipes!

This was the third novel in a series, which made it difficult for me to fully connect to the characters.

A fun, sweet, mysterious read!

3.5 stars.

Thank you Net Galley and Little Forest Press for the digital copy for an honest review.

This is the third book in a series by Liz S. Andrews featuring book lover and whiskey distiller, Harley Henrickson. In this instalment which is my first, Harley has volunteered to help out at the 'Reading is Love' festival for Valentine's day. Everything is ready for the event; the shopfront windows are adorned with paper hearts and the cupcakes are baked. Then Harley finds a burnt-out Bentley containing a charred corpse...

A charming, well constructed cozy packed with quirky characters and red herrings aplenty that kept me guessing. As well as the helpful though awkward Harley, I adored Grandma Ziegler and Petie, the parrot. For a highly amusing and wild time, grab your copy of Loving and Dying in Notchey Creek!

I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Little Forest Press via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.

I love a really good, cozy mystery! This was definitely a nice read. There were quite a few characters that made up the bulk of the story line and I didn't know whodunit until it was revealed. Enjoyed!

Charming cozy packed with quirky characters and enough red herrings to keep you guessing. Although this was the first book from the series that I read, I was able to catch up with Harley and her friends fairly quickly. Still reading the other books would likely enhance anyone's enjoyment.

Taylor and Hayley Ryan are twins in a small town. When their neighbor Katelyn Berkley dies they feel guilty even though they had nothing to do with her death. At one time all the teenagers were friends that hung out together. Everyone in the town wonders if Katelyn killed herself or was her death an accident.
This book was so good. You keep reading and adding more people you are guilty.
I enjoyed very much.

The 3rd book in the series but the first one I’ve read. Harley is an odd one, who dresses odd, talks odd, has trouble socializing, but sees clues around her. A great cozy mystery that was hard to put down. That plus her 300 pound pet pig who she dresses up, and the friend’s dog, who is in a doggie wheelchair. When murder keeps happening, lots of red herrings, and all leading up to Valentine’s Day, this is one I highly recommend. Funny, bittersweet and at times touching. Good story and series.

The small town of Notchey Creek has been a hotbed of murder and Harley Henrickson, the local whiskey distiller, seems to somehow always be involved. It doesn't help that for some unknown reason the county sheriff seems to be holding a personal grudge towards Harley. However since Harley's best friend is being framed Harley proceeds full steam ahead to solve the crimes.

This is the first book I have read in the series so it took a bit of catching up on all the characters introduced quickly in the beginning. Fortunately, there is a list at the start of the story describing all the characters. After that I was totally involved in the story, surprised by certain happenings and kept guessing about the murderer until the very end. Thanks to NetGalley and Little Forest Press for an ARC. The opinions expressed are my own.

Thank you NetGalley, Liz S. Andrews and Little Forest Press for the copy of Loving and Dying in Notchy Creek. This is my personal review.
This is the third book in the series the Harley Henrickson Mysteries.
This is my first in the series and having the Cast of Characters at the beginning was a wonderful help to get to know who each of the characters in the story are.
Harley is a whiskey distiller in Notchey Creek Tennessee. She has her plans made for the Valentines Day festivities to help out at different events. Her plans soon do not go as she had thought they would when she finds a dead body in a Bentley outside the city park. This was not to be the first murder and Harley knows she must find out what is happening when the sheriff is all set to find Harley’s friend Tina as the guilty for at the least of the murders.
The twists and turns will keep anyone involved with the story to find out exactly what happens!
I am looking forward to reading the first two books in the series.

Love Is In The Air...
Love is in the air in Notchey Creek as Valentines Day has arrived. The Reading Is Love Festival is also underway and as many books abound as hearts. As usual not everything goes according to plan and chaos is soon unleashed in town. With a likeable protagonist in Harley and a host of quirky and colourful characters populating the engaging plot this is a fun, enjoyable and entertaining read and a worthy addition to the series.

This is the third book in the series but it was easy to read as a stand alone.

Harley is a likeable character and the supporting characters are interesting if not always likeable! There are plenty of suspects and red herrings to keep you guessing. It was an enjoyable cosy mystery and I'm going to go back and read the two previous novels in the series.

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of LOVING AND DYING IN NOTCHEY CREEK (Book 3 of the Harley Henrickson Mysteries) by Liz S. Andrews in exchange for an honest review. Harley Henrickson is a whiskey distiller in Notchey Creek, Tennessee. Harley plans on spending the upcoming Valentine’s Day festivities volunteering at different events. Harley, who dresses plainly and who tends to embarrass herself in social situations, has zero expectations of romance. However, this Valentine’s season is going to be a little different; it starts out with Harley finding a charred corpse in a burned-out Bentley. That suspicious death is followed by more murders, and the local sheriff seems determined to pin at least one of the slayings on Harley’s best friend Tina; he’s, at least, trying to ruin her business. Things are crazy, so why not add a date with her unrequited love into the mix?

I enjoyed this book. It was my introduction into the series, but I had no problem keeping people straight or in following the storyline. After finishing this novel, I bought the first tale in the series. I recommend this book to fans of cozy mysteries featuring murder, small towns, small businesses, grown-up mean girls, and quirky pets.
