Bristol March discovers that her name was submitted to be the next "date-on-demand" for billionaire Lachlan Drummond.

Despite her best efforts, she's the only one that Lachlan desires for the vacancy and if she can give him the obedience he desires the experience might just change her life.

Lines will be crossed, rules will be tested, and contracts will be re-negotiated. Is it possible to rise above family scandal?

A billionaire that will curl your toes and a woman who will bring him to his knees.

"The Pleasure Contact' - brings naughty thoughts, right?
Well, the title had me intrigued at the very beginning….With an interesting writing style, well-developed main characters, as well as supporting characters, and a very intriguing theme, this book offers an interesting escape into the world of the sexy billionaires and their wicked ways...
A super-intelligent and educated woman, an ultra-rich handsome man, and a pleasure contract.... sounds fun, doesn't it?
Well, this is the story of Bristol March, who is a strong character with a Ph.D. and everything planned to perfection. She wasn’t counting on meeting the billionaire Lachlan Drummond, who will change all her plans…. What will happen when business and pleasure mix up?
And although this is a very interesting topic, I somehow failed to feel the romantic side of the whole story. Yes, the sexuality was just explosive, the whole set was perfectly presented, but somehow I failed to get into the story itself, maybe the story should be longer ... something felt missing….but still an interesting read ...
If you are looking for a short story that abounds in hot, sexy scenes, unimaginable contracts, and interesting characters, then this is a good choice for you.

While this is an enjoyable read with some steamy sex scenes it just didn't wow me. It was good but it seems so much like all the other billionaire romances that I've read. It was a bit predictable but I still enjoyed reading it. I did like the fact that the main female character, Bristol, wasn't some bimbo or typical poor girl. The fact that she was a PhD who stood up for herself was refreshing.

The Pleasure Contract is the first book in the Summer Seductions series by Caitlin Crews. A steamy romance that pulls you in and leaves you wanting more. The characters are well-written, and the chemistry is off the charts!

This has been one of the hottest harlequins I have read in some time. If you have read harlequin before you know the format, the simple structure of the plots. This one felt a little different. The chemistry between Bristol & Lachlan was sizzling. The beginning started with too much description but it build really good. I really wish there had been an epilogue to see a little bit of there future.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

Here I am again, wanting to love a Dare romance, since it was written by one of my favorite authors, and it's a well-written novel at that, but even after the steamy beginning, a gorgeous, hot as molten lava, billionaire hero, a brilliant, well-educated, academic heroine, it left me wanting more--more depth, more romance, more character development, more everything, the result of which is my giving this novel a 4-star, rather than a 5-star rating.

Bristol March, our heroine, lives in a tiny NYC apartment with her irresponsible, fly by the seat of her pants, younger sister, Indy, who seems like her exact opposite. Bristol and Indy left their birthplace, a small town in Ohio, Indy for fun and excitement and Bristol for her insatiable desire to get away from home and pursue her dream of a higher education, culminating in getting her PhD, but now what? Does she want to do research, teach at a prominent university? She's not sure.

When Indy mentions that world-famous billionaire Lachlan Drummond is seeking applicants for his latest piece of arm candy, Bristol laughs it off--until she gets a phone call telling her that her application for that "job" has been accepted, and setting up a date and time for an interview. While she's angry that Indy set her up, she shows up at the interview, conducted by a panel of Lachlan's underlings, and realizing how ridiculous a situation it is, then she leaves. Not one woman has ever done so, and when Lachlan views the tape of her interview, he's intrigued enough to request a dinner meeting with Bristol, and soon discovers that unlike the horde of other women who've been after him, his money, and his fame for years, Bristol, laughs it off, and as they leave the posh restaurant, Ms. Crews turns up the heat between these characters, and wow, does she ever!

Since Bristol has the summer off, surprising herself, she ends up signing Lachlan's very detailed contract--yes, contract, which contains pages and pages of nondisclosure agreements, her pay for her services (and yes, she equates that with being a prostitute), his expectations of her, her wardrobe, his demands for sex when, how, and where he wants it, and the penalties for breaking any of the stipulations contained in the contract. Shocking herself, but so mesmerized by the gorgeous, sexy, and demanding billionaire, she signs it. But what about her feelings, romance, getting to know one another beyond the bedroom? She's about to find out.

While I was intrigued by the concept, and an intelligent, well-educated woman's willingness to basically sell herself and her sexual services to an uber-rich control freak like Lachlan Drummond for two months, and while Ms. Crews lets us know what she's thinking and feeling, we don't quite get to know what's going on inside Lachlan's head, nor do we learn why he's the way he is, and why these are the only kind of relationships he's found acceptable for so long, until near the end of the novel, and for this reader, it was too little, too late, in my opinion.

While this novel began with an intriguing concept, had interesting characters, had lots of heat, and was an altogether good read, I'm convinced that had she the time and space to expand this story, to go into greater depth, to give us more romance than just steamy sex scenes, Ms. Crews would have done so. It's a very good read, nonetheless, but I blame the Dare space restrictions for it not being a great one, something Ms. Crews is more than capable of writing.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

New York City & Worldwide – Present Day

Bristol March is smart and recently earned her Ph.D. Now she only needs a job. But after her sister, India, submits Bristol’s name into a “contest” to become a billionaire’s plaything for the summer, her world changes. Lachlan Drummond changes girlfriends as often as we change batteries in our smoke detectors. Bristol isn’t even sure she wants to go through the process, especially after she arrives and realizes that it’s like a reality show where the female “contestants” go through an audition, with the finalists getting a chance to have dinner with Lachlan. Bristol has a meltdown when she arrives and instead, storms out. But later, she receives a phone call—from the man himself. She intrigues him, and he invites her out to dinner. Afterward, he decides that Bristol is the woman he wants to be his “girlfriend’ to accompany him around the world for the next several weeks. She even must sign a contract. Attracted to Lachlan already, she agrees.

Lachlan’s parents were undemonstrative, and this has left him wary of romantic relationships. But as a wealthy businessman, he needs an escort by his side at social functions. For the past several years Lachlan has had his staff conduct an audition for whoever will be by his side as he travels the world. Most accept the conditions, but Bristol is different. Her outburst at the audition, which he saw on tape, caught his attention. It’s clear that she’s not only beautiful and feisty, but she’s smart. She certainly isn’t his usual type of woman. It helps that at their first meeting they end up having sex against a wall. Blistering hot and oh-so-good—and the sex continues to be great. She agrees to his terms, but how long before she chafes at the requirements?

Sizzling hot, yet with the emotion of what is right and wrong, THE PLEASURE CONTRACT is an engaging read. Bristol had a boring childhood, and her goal is not to be like her parents. Her path has been education. A stint as Lachlan’s escort for a few months is not only lucrative, but it gives her a chance to see the world. The longer they’re together, the better they get to know each other. Soon, an emotional bond ties them. But Lachlan has put up a wall that doesn’t allow him to invest in a relationship. Will it change with Bristol? Find out the answer in THE PLEASURE CONTRACT.

** I received this as an E-ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review, Thank you!**

I had a great time reading this book. I really enjoyed the sexual chemistry between the two characters. Their romance felt just okay, it just felt like it moved a little too fast for me. Overall it was a very enjoyable, quick and easy read.

I've yet to meet a book from the Dare imprint that I didn't like. This is no exception. The main characters are likable. The inevitable moment where the characters break up wasn't as dramatic as some books, which I liked because I just wanted the characters to be together.

The last review I wrote about a DARE book, I mentioned that there seemed to be a kind of an identity crisis for this imprint. Though "The Pleasure Contract", specifically, is very enjoyable and just a very good romance novel overall, it could have been printed under the Presents helm easily. It *seems* to be a Presents novel, and not what DARE novels were purported to be. The difference can be seen quite easily reading another of this same author's offerings, like, for example, "Take me" or "Teach me".
The Pleasure Contract is very good and emotionally intense (kind of like a slightly more emotionally intense Presents novel, as I stated above, with an international and new york background). I very much recommend it. 4.5 stars.
