At the beginning of the book, I felt like the whole storyline was something I already read before. As I continued to read the book, I was hooked in and did not want to put the book down. I loved how each chapter was from the other characters point of view but that each chapter and each point of view built on the previous one. I finished the book way to soon and I am hoping there is a sequel coming so I know what happens next to the characters.

I liked this book but it was just way too short for my liking. Everything happened fast paced and I found myself wanting more. I wanted to see more of Laura and Daniel’s relationship come about. Also more stuff with the mob and Laura’s reaction. Also, there was only one sex scene, which was great don’t get me wrong. I just kept finding myself wanting more

This is an honest review in exchange for reading the ARC off Netgallery.

The book was a good work place romance. There wasn't much mafia that stood out to me though when I read the arc. The storyline was good, it was cute and had a good plot. The character development could have been improved a bit more, the main male character Daniel seemed a bit too much of a sleezeball for my taste.

Tempted by Anna Ray was about Daniel and Laura. Daniel has links to the Mafia, but Laura knows this as she goes for an interview with him. She is hired on the spot as his personal assistant. The job turned into something more than she expected, but with an NDA she can't even talk to her best friend about it.
The chemistry between Laura and Daniel is hot and heavy. I thought the storyline was very good, all the characters were meaningful. I would have liked the ending to have more detail after Sal died but regardless overall a good read.

This is the first book in this latest Mafia romance series and it is actually a combination mafia/office romance It is only a fast read as it only took about an hour to read so perfect for when you don't have a lot of time

Daniel Marino is only interested in making money and quick flings he has no intention of ever having a committed relationship and he rends to go through PA because he keeps having said flings with them Now he has a new PA Laura Byrne and he is determined that the same thing won't happen again he will stay away from her which is going to be easy as she is the first woman that has ever resisted him. As his illegal business deals put Laura in the cross hairs of his business partners he starts to realise just what she has started to mean to him and he will do whatever he needs to in an effort to keep her safe.

What a train wreck...

Writing style: It wasn't anything special, but it wasn't bad either. I think the writing is the only thing that made me finish this book.

Characters: Daniel is a fucking sleazy asshat and Laura is way too stupid for such a smart business woman. And don't even get me started on all the toxic behavior that Laura had to endure in this book from all the men. Ugh, disgusting.

Story: It's supposed to be an enemies to lovers mafia romance... There's no mafia, there's no enemies to lovers trope, THERE ISN'T EVEN PROPER ROMANCE *pulls out hair* This is a classic wrong advertisement just so people will pick up your train wreck of a book.

This was so bad, oh my lord, I just can't believe I read the whole thing I should have just DNFed it. Yeah, I really can't give this more than 1,5 stars.

This was such a cute workplace romance! I didn’t feel like the mafia aspect was super prominent in the story but I still loved the love story between Laura and Daniel! It was exciting throughout the whole book. Laura was a super strong female character who wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself and put Daniel in his place. Daniel tried to be a clean, stand up guy (but still a possessive alpha male) and there was a hint that his father was involved slightly in the mafia. I wish the mafia portion was more detailed.

I had high hope for this book because I enjoy romantic suspense. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in this read. Daniel is a jerk for so much of the book. He likes to watch the heroine, Laura, squirm and be uncomfortable. He is inappropriate during their interview and I am quite surprised that he has not been sued for sexual harassment, especially since he apparently sleeps with all of his personal assistants. I also did not like how weak he was with his father and with Sal (especially when it involved Laura towards the end of the novel). I was also not a fan of Laura and how she essentially puts away all her reservations about Daniel (and she has many, including how he treated her poorly and is not respectful to her) because he is good-looking. I also noticed a few spelling errors that caused me some confusion when reading. With that being said, I would not recommend this read.

A short yet very good read. Felt like the plot and characters could have gone through further development, been a little more fleshed out as while the interactions between different characters was great they felt a little one dimensional.

Despite this it was an enjoyable read and I would and will be reading others from this author.

Wow! This was such a fun book. I couldn't put it down. It was gripping, exciting, funny, sexy. Just a great read.
I loved the multiple POVs, especially Daniel's. I always have a soft spot for romances from men's POVs. The characters were decently developed considering the length of the book and the amount of time dedicated to the plot. I loved the bad guy, he was so easy to hate, perfection! The plot was brilliant. Very well-paced. I didn't even notice how far into the book was until I read the Epilogue.
I enjoyed the writing. It was heavily thoughts and dialogue-based which fitted with the fast-paced drama and plot. The sex was tastefully written but also smutty enough to be classed as erotica.
It was a nice romance. It could potentially have used a little more relationship building that wasn't sex/appearance-based, but it's a short novel so that's understandable.
Overall a nice read. Definitely recommend if you want something quick, fun, and action-packed.
