Although The Last Affair was a fun and easy read, it kind of fell a bit flat for me as the chemistry between the characters was somewhat dry.

I feel like I needed more or this story on page.

This was definitely a sexy book.

I did end up enjoying my time watching how this office place romance took place. I thought their chemistry was pretty good, but also a little forced for the sake of the plot.

Had a great time. Would read more by this author.

There's something about seeing the Harlequin logo that has me one-clicking, ready to indulge in a great romance. And this author definitely brought me that. This story really got to me. This was hot!

The third installment of talented author, A.C Arthur’s The Fabulous Golds Series assures us that on-line love sites can lead to unexpected love connections. Desta Henner, the heroine of the story, aka Dear Lover 1288, is looking forward to meeting her on-line connection man with whom she’s had a three month hot and steamy virtual relationship at the Dear Lover Weekend Retreat. What she doesn’t know is that man, Dear Lover 1687, is no stranger, but someone whom she has worked with, become like a member of his family, and shared special moments. Enter Maurice Gold, Desta’s longtime friend and co-worker at world famous Ronald Gold Fashion. I love the scene when Desta and Maurice realize they are Dear Lovers 1238 and 1687.
There is a robust cast of complex characters who contribute to the dynamic storyline. I love the Gold family and the support they lend to the main characters. On the other hand, watch out for Kelli, with an ‘i’ and her partner, Travis who have no redeeming qualities at all. You’ll get that when you read the story. The HEA is a winner!
I enjoyed THE LAST AFFAIR and I recommend it for your reading pleasure. I also recommend the other two books in this series. A PRIVATE AFFAIR, Book 1 and AT YOUR SERVICE, Book 2.

** I received this as an E-ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review, Thank you!**

This fell middle of the road for me. While it was fun and I enjoyed my time reading it, I found that I just didn't feel that invested in the romance in this book. The chemistry felt like it was missing from these characters. I also wish it would've been just a little longer so we could've gotten more insight into the main characters. Overall still a fun and easy read. This would be great if you're looking for a fast and easy to read steamy romance.
