'Let's tell a story! Space Adventure' is a build your own story book. I love the creativity behind this book and each page has so many different prompts to cultivate your adventure. There are easily thousands of different stories that can be created. Its a fun book and both parents and children can let their imagination run wild and be creative in their adventure.

This is a fun book that offers kids different prompts to help them create stories. Here, we're creating a space adventure, and we start with an explanation of how to use the book, then jump into choosing who the main character of the story is -an astronaut maybe, or a rabbit? We then choose an outfit, a destination (I want to go to a galaxy of singing stars), we decide on three things to bring with us - I'm thinking a camera, a diary, and my favorite books. Who else is going, or is the main character on their own? What kind of travel is being used, and what does the route look like? Who welcomes the party, and what kind of food is served? Where do you stay? What villains show up, and how do you escape? What do you get for defeating the bad guys? How does the story end? There are lots of elements in each category to choose from, with millions of possible combinations, offering all kinds of fun to be had. I remember doing something like this in grade school, and it led to some very imaginative stories- mine was about a pencil who became a king. This would be great in a classroom setting, but also fun at home. and it's a great way to encourage creative writing!

This easy to use guide book will help young and new writers to come up with fun sci fi adventure's of their own. It has helpful questions to guide the writer through their narrative, including fun and zany character choices, helping them to decide the course of their story. I think that this would be a great addition to most English classrooms and young writing groups.

Just like the last Let's Tell a Story that we read as soon as it was over my three year old daughter asked me to read it again! She loves being in control of her story and making all of her choices on each page. Together we talk about the options and she thinks over her choices before picking. She revels in the power! This is a simple.book with a unique and fun concept.

First you choose your character, then your outfit. After that, you have to decide where you want to go and what to bring with you. And so on to help a kid creating his/her very own story about going into space.

The book is so full of ideas that you can create more than a story, with different endings or different background.

Even different endings for each story.

I would love to have such a book when I was that age, so I can dream more and finding my self worth through my stories.

Thanks for the arc NetGalley! This book was a huge hit with my toddler. She loved choosing the characters and the story. She loved the unusual characters, modes of transportation, costumes, villains, and award at the end. Really looking forward to purchasing a copy when released!

This is truly an adorable book for your space loving, creative 4 to 8 years old. It gives you all the ingredients to invent your own story together, or as a parent or the child and to inspire them again and again. The pictures are cute, there is a lot of different ideas to suit many styles and both my boy and my little girl found things they loved. Perfect!

ARC: ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ: I was provided a free copy of this by @netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
This is a great book to read with kids to encourage creativity! Each time you read the story you get a different story! Each page has a lead question (ex. Who do you want to be? Where do you want to go?) and a page full of fun colorful illustrations (about 15-30 per page) to choose from. The adventure possibilities are endless!! Some pages also include a few leading questions to help kids think of adding more details to their story. It's like a sort of Choose Your Own Adventure story using pictures and the majority of the "text" provided by the readers. This can be enjoyed by families at home (we definitely enjoyed it) but also by teachers to help encourage story writing. It is appropriate for a broad age range too! At a young age a child could point at their choices and have the reader make a story up, but it can also be entertaining for older Elementary (maybe even Middle School) aged kids!
This is scheduled to be published on March 2nd, so put that down on your calendar for any kids in your life!

Let's Tell a Story: Space Adventure is a clever and fun idea. It consists of a story-building playground of a book rendered in brightly expressive illustrations. The concept is both smart and well executed - readers are given a prompt ("You're about to go on an adventure. Which one of these heroes do you want to be?") and a two-page spread of options (an astronaut, an alien, a scientist, as well as a few more out there options like an armadillo or a clown). The book encourages readers to describe their choices in detail - what is your character's name? Do they have any special powers? Why do you want to go to this or that space destination? There are so many options, and so many different ways a story could go, all on the space theme, that this book could be read and enjoyed again and again and again without any repetition. A whimsical, adorable way of encouraging creativity and imagination with little storytellers!

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group: Wide Eyed Editions for the advance review copy!

What a fun, clever and creative book! I had the help of a 6 & 8 year old in the reading of this, and we went through it at least 4 times! This is seriously such a neat choose-your-adventure-style book that will definitely be making its appearance as a gift from me! I also feel like this would be a great template to teach students to write creative stories! I will definitely buy this once it publishes!

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group Wide Eyed Editions for kindly providing me with a digital copy of this book for review.
I read this book with my 5 year old son. Or rather, due to the nature of this book- I read him the prompts and he then told me a story.
I think this is an absolutely fabulous idea that really gets children involved and using their imaginations. The book does lead the reader/ storyteller so you are never left feeling stumped for an idea, but you really get enough inspiration to run with it and create amazing stories with your child, or if the child can read independently, on their own.
In these days of homeschooling, I think this would be a great addition to your home libraries and providing exercise in many areas such as reading, imagination, story telling, writing practice if they decide to record their stories, role play, art if they decide to draw pictures of their stories. And itโ€™s not a case of once you get through the book itโ€™s done- you can switch and change your story at every different read.
My son loved this book, and got really involved and excited creating his story. Highly recommend.
