This is a short second chance romance. I really loved this book. It is a quick moving second chance romance, and I loved the characters in this book. I feel that both characters saw that they both needs to give something to make their marriage work, and both the characters wants to make their marriage work. The setting in this book was good as will, and I loved traveling with the characters. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Harlequin Romance) or author (Jessica Gilmore) via NetGalley, so I can give honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

Winning Back His Runaway Bride was exactly what I expected, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. Charlotte and Matteo are a classic romantic pairing; he is a wealthy dashing businessman, and she is a free spirit. Their romance is passionate, and they declare their love often. The book is without any surprises, and I’m okay with that. Matteo and Charlotte follow the expected path from estrangement to reconciliation, and it was a great book for escapism. The book is a mindless read while you follow the loves to Italy on their journey to rekindling their relationship. The story is simple, the characters familiar, and their story predictable, but if you, like me, need a fluffy romance ever so often, you should consider this one.

Didn't connect with this one. Thought the story could have been developed better and personally prefer a cleaner read. It'd be nice if publishers put content warnings on books for Netgalley. Overall, I liked the idea for the story and thought it had promise, but the execution just fell flat for me.

I found myself not loving this story so much. The beginning had so much promise, but towards the middle I found it that it kept repeating itself a lot and that turned the story off for me. I love the chemistry between both main characters but I wish the book had a little more for me to love. If there was more passion I would have loved the book a lot more.

Sweet second chance at love story of Matteo and Charlotte. Matteo is a super workaholic who runs the family business and doesn’t put Charlie first, and Charlie is a wild and free substitute teacher. Despite their differences, they fall in love but can’t stay that way because of their differences.
One day Matteo has a car accident which leaves him with memory loss-he doesn’t remember them splitting up-his memory goes back to the day before they had a quickie wedding without their family or friends around and the shortened honeymoon because he had to get back to work. Charlie agrees to care for him while he recovers, and they go to the villa they were supposed to stay for their honeymoon, under doctors orders that he not have any shock or do any work. So they spend time together and Matteo gets his memory back and decides to do all he can to save his marriage.
This was a quick and short read but it was sweet and not very steamy. Easy to read in just a couple of hours.

Thanks to Harlequin and Netgalley for this arc in exchange for my review.

2/5 Stars

** I received this as an E-ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review, Thank you!**

We have Charlie and Matteo who are currently in the process of divorce. In an unexpected accident, Matteo loses his memory from the last few months. Charlie is now put in a place where she has to take care of Matteo knowing of their marital troubles when he has no clue, but also cannot tell him due to doctors orders for his health. The more time they spend together reminds them of the love they have for each other for a second chance romance.

I really wanted to like this one, unfortunately, it just fell flat for me. The writing really wasn't my favorite. I felt no connection to the characters or really any connection to anything in this book. I'm not sure if maybe I went in with too high expectations. As I said, I just wasn't feeling this book. I wanted more from it. However, I can see people really enjoying it.
