This is the best book I have read this year! I have been a fan of Debbie Macomber for many years. The last couple I liked but not as much as I had hoped. This one is a breakthrough. Possibly, because I could relate to the main character's age and demographic. "it is better this way" is a great motto for all of us I think. When things don't work out in this book the main character reflects on this very statement. Great book! I read it in two days.
Thanks to Ballentine Books and NetGalley for the ARC. This book brightened my day!
5 stars

Debbie Macomber is a gifted author that I have loved for many years!
I am encouraged, uplifted, and blessed by her books
and this one even more.
In life, with faith in God- "It's Better This Way" is a good motto!
I got invested with characters and each storyline.
I cared for each one. I was rooting for them, scolding them, and feeling for them.
I did NOT want to stop reading
was mad when I had to go to work, carried book with me just in case I had a second
I wanted this book with me
I more than highly recommend!!

This is a very pleasant read about a romance between two older adults and the obstacles they face when families are involved. There is enough suspense and action to keep readers involved and eager to discover what happens next. As usual, Debbie Macomber delivers a very readable and pleasurable story.

For some reason-and it could be just a reading slump-I haven't gotten into the last few of Debbie's books. However, I do believe this one is one of her best. She manages to tug on your heart strings and makes you believe in the power of love. Thankful to NetGalley for providing me a copy of this book.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were people you could relate to and the story felt current. Every day families are learning how to blend kids and ex’s and family. I really recommend this book
