This was a fun book to read!!! I have never read anything by Kristin Miller so I didn't know what to expect. It was just what I needed: funny, light and with some twists that don't see coming. I love the ending!
Thanks Kristin Miller, Ballantine Books and NetGalley for the ARC!

Well this novel was part Real Housewives, Stepford Wives and Little Big Lies. This novel will suck you in and drag you at a fast pace to the finish line. These ladies are really something and it was hard to actually like them. This is a guilty pleasure for a weekend.

As a wife myself, I was drawn to the title of this book. If you love the real housewives series, this is a book for you.
The book is told in first person POV of 3 trophy wives married to millionaires leading up to one of their weddings.
This book was a fast read filled with lots of twists and a great ending you won't see coming. It is best to go into this book knowing little about it and let it book you from the start. This would make a great beach read this summer!

Thanks to NetGalley for the chance to review this book. Trophy Wives is a fun, suspenseful mystery. Brooke Davis just moved in to the ridiculously wealth Presidio Terrace in the Bay Area. She is newly married to a man 22 years her senior who insists on perfection in every part of his life, including his new young wife. Then she meets the other trophy wives. Erin King is a successful news anchor married to a plastic surgeon and Georgia St. Claire is known as the Black Widow because of the deaths of her first two husbands. All three trophy wives must decide how far they will go to keep their husbands and keep up the pretense of perfect marriages. When tragedy strikes, it seems as if the Black Widow is to blame. How far will these women go to protect their secrets? This book is a great, fun read. I can see it being very popular on the beach this summer - or any time. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

This book will not be released until July 20th but when I say preorder. Y’all I mean #preorder I am blown away by #kristinmiller #thesinfullivesoftrophywives it will be the one to read on the beach. With a drink in hand 🥂 three ladies. One known as #theblackwidow because her first two husbands have mysteriously passed away. She’s currently engaged. Will this man survive? What happened to the other two? And. How strong our friendship bonds? Female friends? #canyoukeepasecret #randomhousepublishing #ballantinebooks #netgalley #bookstagram #readersofinstagram #bookstagrammer #netgalleyreview #bookrecommendations

It was a light, fun escape; easy to read; over the top at times; and had some unexpected twists...a good summer read...reminded me of Desperate Housewives and Big Little Lies!
Thank you very much to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine Books for the advanced reader’s copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

** Thank you NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest opinion. **
Wow. This author can write a good story! Loved the story line. It really kept my attention all throughout the book. I was getting nervous near the end, wondering how so many questions would be answered and the book was almost finished. Then, BAM...it all hits you at once. One by one. Loved this book!

Mystery writer Brooke Davies is the new wife on the block. Her tech-billionaire husband, Jack, twenty-two years her senior, whisked her to the Bay Area via private jet and purchased a modest mansion on the same day. He demands perfection, and before now, Brooke has had no problem playing the role of a doting housewife. But as she befriends other wives on the street and spends considerable time away from Jack, he worries if he doesn't control Brooke's every move, she will reveal the truth behind their "perfect" marriage.
Erin King, famed news anchor and chair of the community board, is no stranger to maintaining an image--though being married to a plastic surgeon helps. But the skyrocketing success of her career has worn her love life thin, and her professional ambitions have pushed Mason away. Quitting her job is a Hail Mary attempt at keeping him interested, to steer him away from finding a young trophy wife. But is it enough, and is Mason truly the man she thought he was?
Georgia St. Claire allegedly cashed in on the deaths of her first two husbands, earning her the nickname "Black Widow"--and the stares and whispers of her curious neighbors. Rumored to have murdered both men for their fortunes, she claims to have found true love in her third marriage, yet her mysterious, captivating allure keeps everyone guessing. Then a tragic accident forces the residents of Presidio Terrace to ask: Has Georgia struck again? And what is she really capable of doing to protect her secrets?
I enjoyed the twists and turns that this book took throughout. Brooke, Erin and Georgia each had their own unique personalities that were fun and eccentric. Everyone has their own secrets.

Wow... I so enjoy a slow building suspense novel that allows the reader a chance to get to know the characters. Once I start forming my own opinions, then the suspense is dialed up and all heck breaks loose. As I start reading, the pages start to disappear until I am left with a mystery to solve and some dynamic characters that I can sympathize with and get to know better. The back and forth between past and present adds more mystery as we unravel who is in the hospital and exactly what happened to lead her there. The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives reminds me of Desperate Housewives and also reminds me of the novels that were popular in the 80's. I wanted more depth with Georgia as I feel like she could have her own novel with just her life and husbands. Very interesting. Great beach read!!
Thank you to NetGalley, author Kristin Miller, and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for this temporary, advance review copy for me to read and enjoy. As always, my review is voluntary and my opinions are my own.

Thank you NetGalley for my advanced e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book is Desperate Housewives meets Ginny and Georgia meets Agatha Christie. A whodunnit, but with rich Presidio Terrace socialite women.
Georgia is this mysterious woman who's had 2 husbands mysteriously die shortly after their wedding. The catch? Both men were completely loaded. Georgia is engaged to her soon to be husband #3, when he goes missing off their Yacht just after their pre-wedding cruise party.
Erin, an unstable, declining news reporter is married to Mason. Mason is clearly abusive and could care less about Erin. Erin is desperate to save her marriage and career. Her news station says they will find a job for her if she can land an exclusive interview with her friend Georgia.
Brooke, a writer, married to Jack in what seems like a perfect marriage. They've newly arrived to the exclusive presidio terrace. Brooke befriends Erin and Brooke and seems like the innocent, naïve party in all the drama that surrounds them, but is she?
Without giving too much away, there are lots of twists and turns, some expected, some surprising. I was thoroughly amused throughout the book and found it the right balance of humor and thriller.

The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives by Kristin Miller is the perfect book to read while at the pool or beach. Full of drama and intrigue, this book is hard to put down once you pick it up. It focuses on three wealthy women: Georgia, the Black Widow, who has been widowed twice and is engaged to a third man; Erin, the news anchor, and Brooke, the young, trophy wife. The story is fast paced and it kept me up late a couple nights. I did not see the ending coming at all. I loved it and can’t wait to read more by this author. Thank you to Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine for the ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.

This was a fun domestic thriller that reminded me of a Jackie Collins novel (I love Jackie!). The story focuses on three women and is told in alternating chapters. It is the dark domestic thriller with the unreliable narrator, but it stands out from the Gone Girl thrillers of late. If you grew up on 80s soaps and stole your mom's Jackie Collins books, you will probably enjoy this one. The characters are a little flat--it is mostly plot-driven, but it did keep my guessing until the end!

THIS. THIS BOOK RIGHT HERE WAS STUNNING. The mystery of this book was a subtle type of suspense. It kept me on my toes wanting to learn more but it was also just calming. I honestly didn't have to think to read this book but it always had me wanting more! Wonderful mystery!

In a word: delicious! I devoured this book like a sinfully good dessert. This felt like a revival of Desperate Housewives, but on a whole different level.
I love a story with multiple POV’s & this one did the trick! With new twists, scandals & pure deviousness, this is going to be a sure fire hit. I would absolutely love to see this adapted into a Netflix show, maybe? I can already imagine who would play each of our trophy wives!
I can’t wait to hear the buzz about this when it comes out, July 20! Also, a huge thanks again to NetGalley & Ballantine Books for this eARC, it was so good!

Kristin Miller’s The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives takes readers into a prestigious gated community in San Francisco, where what’s inside the gated community may be more dangerous than what’s outside.
Georgia St. Clair has been dubbed the Black Widow after two of her husbands mysteriously died early in their marriage. Erin is the president of the homeowners association and will levy a fine against anyone who leaves their garage door open longer than five minutes. Brooke is the mistress turned bride buying the house next door to Georgia, a mystery writer battling a deadline. With Georgia’s third wedding around the corner, everyone is wondering- will the Black Widow strike again?
But inside these expansive homes where every throw pillow is an artful decision and every piece of art has an obscene price tag that’s secretly bragged about, things are not always as they seem.
Erin fears her beloved husband may be cheating, and is tired of enduring sexism at her job as a news anchor.
Brooke’s relationship isn’t what she thought it would be.
And Georgia? Well, Georgia can play anyone, manipulating them in the palm of her hand as easy as pie. Is she as happy as she seems with her latest fiancé, or is he a pawn in her master plan?
As the lives of these three women intersect, no one will be left unchanged.
I’m not normally one for suspense. I’m a total and complete scaredy cat, and I wear that badge proudly. But I absolutely love solving mysteries, and those two sides of myself are often in conflict. Trophy Wives struck just the right balance of suspenseful and whodunit, giving me secondhand adrenaline and being completely un-put-down-able without inducing nightmares in my over-thinking brain.
This twisty plot is so fun to untangle. It’ll be perfect for armchair detectives, and the breezy San Francisco setting makes it a fun beach read. Danger in the gated community is always intriguing, examining just how safe we can feel– and how money can’t quite buy security.
The three main characters are interesting and picking apart their motives and actions will leave you thinking about this book long after you close the cover. All three have a unique voice, making their first person narration believable and easy to follow. They’re presented frankly, warts and all, and at times they’re utterly unlikable. Despite or because of this, tearing your eyes away from their story is nearly impossible.
This twisty, suspenseful book is perfect for fans of Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty and Never Have I Ever by Joshilyn Jackson.
The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives will be available July 20, 2021.
Thank you to LibraryThing, Random House, Ballantine Books, and NetGalley for this advanced copy so I could write my honest review!

5 stars! Oh my goodness I didn’t see ANY of that coming! Such great character development and so many twists and turns! I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend!

What is your definition of a trophy wife?
The wives of Presidio Terrace have an idea and strive to maintain their youthful appearances while balancing the needs of their husbands. The problem is that Georgia's husbands keep coming up dead. Now, with her third on the line and a new wife in the neighborhood, things are about to heat up.
If you're a fan of the Real Housewives of *insert city here*, this book is screaming your name. Filled with drama and delicious secrets, it's sure to please. It's fast paced and you'll fall in love with the friendship of the three wives. Told from all three view points, each of the women face their own struggles in their marriages and plays their own part.
The end twist wasn't quite devious enough for my taste, but was a twist at that! I enjoyed reading this one and hope for the author to continue writing stories like these!

Thank you to #Netgalley and Ballantine Books for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I honestly felt like I was reading a modern day versio of dynasty or something! The story focuses on three "trophy" wives. Author Brooke Davies, news anchor Erin King, and Georgia "Black Widow" St. Claire. These are def 3 trophy wives who seem to be living the life. Or at least it seems that way. While I enjoyed the story, it almost seems far fetched at times. Almost like a little over the top. But I think that is what made it so enjoyable to me, was that it was so over the top, It seriously was a great beach read. Even though its not fully the beach season I was able to enjoy it with a nice gass of wine on my sunny deck! Its a fun, thrilling and campy read that I really enjoyed.

I went into The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives blindly and it turned out to be a pretty average and predictable domestic thriller. I guessed several of the "twists" which made me skim through the pages quickly to get to the end. I think this might be a good one to add to your Summer TBR because it was a trashy read that might be even more enjoyable poolside or on the beach. I have a hard time reading domestic thrillers because they all seem to be the same after awhile. The battered angry wife isn't a new storyline. Not only were the men in this book infuriating, the women were ridiculous. It felt like a lesser version of Big Little Lies.

I absolutely loved this book. It was fast-paced and suspenseful. Switching through multiple points of view throughout the book (Georgia, Brooke, and Erin), propelled the storyline forward at a quick and exciting pace. I loved reading about their so-called "perfect" , rich lives as trophy wives. Their lives were ultimately anything but perfect! Throughout the book, I kept trying to guess what was going to happen next, but the plot twists definitely kept me guessing! I would highly recommend this book if you're looking for a twisty and fun book!
