Presidio Terrace, a gated community outside of San Francisco, is all about glitz, glamour, secrets, lies, and of course, Trophy Wives.
It sounds almost idyllic, (HA!) unless of course, you’re one of the husbands. Then it’s downright dangerous!
For Erin, Georgia, and newcomer Brooke, three women who live in Presidio Terrace, life is about status and prestige.
Georgia is the one with a bad reputation. If you call being a new fiancée twice widowed, a bad reputation. Dubbed the “Black Widow” she can’t wait to marry Robert, who she loves with all her heart.
Erin’s life is less than stellar, though on the outside looking in, she and her husband appear to have it all. Looks as we all know are deceiving.
Though she’s new to the area, Brooke fits right in, whether her husband likes it or not.
“The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives” by Kristin Miller is a wild and crazy mystery/suspense that had a few surprises in store. Though I guessed one, the ending got me! While this was a tad over the top, I quite enjoyed it and looked forward to this author’s next release.
A buddy read with Kaceey!

I received a free copy from NetGalley. Rich, gated community wives. Murder instead of divorce because their huge alimony would be less than getting everything. I just thought the three narrators were mostly flat and ridiculous. But the plot reads well as the mystery unfolded and the women's treatment of each other is believable. And if defiantly proved that money doesn't buy happiness.

Georgia, Erin, and Brooke live in a high-end, high-security gated community in the San Francisco Bay area. They each have the time, the money, and the opportunity to be whatever they choose. Why not choose to be a murderer? I didn't feel that I knew any of the characters well enough to understand their motivation and behavior. There was lots of drama and very little remorse. There are murders (suspicious deaths?) to solve and I was surprised at "whodunit"! A fairly high body count and nobody gets arrested. I wanted more closure for the ending.

It is 1:00 a.m. and I just finished this book. I’ll regret it tomorrow but I absolutely could not put it down! Three women, Brooke married to a man 22 years older than her, Erin, a journalist married to a cheater, and Georgia, married to two men who died suspiciously. Georgia is set to marry a third when things go terribly wrong, as usual, I never came close to solving the mysteries. Loved it, thanks to #netgalley and #ballantine for the advanced copy. #TheSinfulLivesofTrophyWives #KristinMiller i look forward to recommending it to friends!

Wow what a story! From the moment I started this book until I put it down I could not stop reading! This was my first book by this author but I can assure you it won’t be my last.
Think Desperate Housewives meets Real Housewives and everything in between. If you enjoy reading about the rich and at times crazy then this page turner is for you. I loved how it was broken into the different perspectives and you could see the characters evolve and change. I found myself rooting for them all at one point or another. The ending had me shocked!!
I will definitely recommend this book to all of my friends. If you are looking for a page turner then this is it. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. Thank you netgalley and publisher for this advanced read.

Brooke seems like the typical trophy wife to her new neighbors in the exclusive Bay Area neighborhood she moves into with her older, tech billionaire husband. Her new neighbor, Erin, an news anchor is obsessed with Brooke and her Instagram perfect life. When Brooke becomes friends with Erin's best friend Georgia the jealousy intensifies. Georgia has buried 2 husbands and when her fiancée disappears after their engagement party everyone thinks the Black Widow has struck again. But what is really going on with these wealthy wives? And how does Brooke fit in?

An intriguing story of three women who live in an exclusive gated community and how they handle the men in their lives, some of whom were abusive.

Author Brooke Davies and her billionaire husband, Jack, move to the exclusive neighborhood of Presidio Terrace, where Brooke quickly becomes acquainted with their neighbors Georgia and Erin. Georgia is infamously known as the Black Widow, as both of her husbands died under mysterious circumstances. With her recent engagement to future husband number three, everyone is wondering: will the Black Widow strike again? Erin is a hotshot news anchor who has finally had enough of her high stress career and the toll it has taken on her marriage. She’s hoping a sabbatical will be just the thing to get her marriage back on track. When another tragedy occurs, everyone is left wondering: who can you really trust?
Whether it’s Real Housewives or Sinful Trophy Wives, it turns out I have a (okay let’s be honest) rather unhealthy obsession with the lives of rich, crazy women. Sinful Lives is a perfect book if, like me, you love to live vicariously through the lives of rich, spoiled & slightly unhappy women. With several twists you will see coming and a few I’m confident you won’t, this is a great “guilty pleasure” read.
Thank you to NetGalley, Ballantine Books, and Kristin Miller for the digital ARC in exchange for my honest review!

WOW!! What a fun read! This is my first read by author Kristin Miller and I was not disappointed one bit! The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives was such an enjoyable book to read, I couldn't put it down!! I kept wanting to read more to know what was going to happen! This book had me interested from page one all the way till the end!
Book is told from the POVs of the three main characters...
Georgia St. Claire...married twice before, with both husbands dying under suspicious circumstances. Known around the area as the 'Black Widow'. Now engaged to number 3! She's in love with this one! Is he next?
Erin King...she wants it all! A news anchor, who is just fed up and walks out on her job. She just wants to focus on being the perfect trophy wife to husband Mason! But he doesn't seem interested.
Brooke Davies...the new gal on the block! Someone who lives in the shadows and seems to have it all! Perfect life, perfect husband, although they sleep in separate bedrooms?! She becomes good friends with Georgia and Erin, even though her hubby warns her not to.
Living in a rich gated community these 'Trophy Wives' have plenty of drama and secrets!
A fun and easy read! Some great twists that shocked me!!
Very much a feel of Desperate House Wives! In this case...Desperate House Wives of Presidio Terrace! A must read!
Thanks to NetGalley, Random House Publishing Group - Ballatine and author Kristin Miller for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

I really enjoyed some parts of this book and loved the twist at the end. I totally did not see it coming! However, there were parts mainly in the middle which I didn't love and thought were a bit confusing. I also found some areas predictable, specifically with the therapist. I think if this book had more work, it would be a home run.

The thriller, “The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives”, is a cross between Desperate Housewives and Charlie’s Angels! This was a fun read and a page turner.
The story revolves around three trophy wives who live in an opulent gated community in California. Brooke is a mystery novelist married to a billionaire, Erin works as a news anchor, and Georgia has been widowed twice and is on the verge of a third marriage. The three women are not only suspicious of the neighbors, but of each other. A party on a luxury boat is the turning point for all, and where the suspense begins. There are many twists in the plot and the end is unbelievable!
I would recommend this if you enjoy a fast and entertaining no-brainer read. I would like to thank NetGalley and Ballantine Books for this ARC.

Omg I LOVED this book. Every character is horrible, vicious, and so much FUN! 5 stars.
“Bill,” I say, feeling steadier than I have in days, “thank you for the enticing opportunity you’re offering, but I’d rather die on my feet than drop to my knees.”

Thank you Netgalley and Ballantine Books for the eARC.
This story features 3 'trophy' wives: Brooke, a mystery author, Jackie (the Black Widow) and Erin, a tv news anchor. They all live in an exclusive area in San Francisco with their rich husbands and become good friends. It's a bit of a soap opera. I have to admit I didn't like them, nor their husbands, at all. They are vain, self absorbed and entitled, portraying perfection to the world, lying all the way.
It's a real beach read, clipping along at a fast pace; like eating an ice cream cone under a hot sun...tasty, but quickly forgotten.

3.5 rounded up. A quick read that kept me interested throughout. I enjoyed all 3 characters and I will say the twist at the end was a refreshing surprise. Definitely will check out more from this author.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I so enjoyed this soapy satisfying thriller. It reminded me so much of Desperate Housewives in that just when I thought I had an understanding of a character, I was thrown for a loop. Recommending.

The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives was a quick and fun read, it definitely wasn’t what I was expecting. The three main characters are Georgia, who is called the Black Widow, because people think she killed her first two husbands and is getting ready to marry the third, Erin, who is a T.V. reporter and married to a plastic surgeon and then there is Brooke, a mystery writer and the youngest, who is married to a older man. This book had some major twists especially the one at the end that I didn’t see coming. I highly recommend this book if you like a good mystery with some shocking twists. Thank you Netgalley for my Arc.

Kristin Miller’s new thriller, The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives, surprises us with the brains behind the beauty of these trophy wives based in a wealthy enclave of San Francisco. And the twists the story delivers are legit surprises! Who will love this book? Any reader who needs a break from “serious” fiction, any reader who wants to escape into the land of “wouldn’t that be nice to be that rich” for an afternoon, and any reader who secretly suspects that rich people are not really all that happy behind their fabulous facades. Who won’t love this book? Most men, lol, as they are portrayed as controlling, philandering, and just plain cruel in many – but not all - circumstances.
I loved that the three main protagonists - Georgia, Erin, and Brooke - are introduced very stereotypically as superficial women, but their cleverness is slowly revealed. They are shown to be conniving in their own unique ways, working to protect their best interests.
The bread and butter of a thriller are the twists within the book – are they predictable, expected, one-dimensional? I’m happy to report that these twists were none of the above! There were layers of surprises and they were NOT easy to predict or guess as an experienced thriller reader! The book moves along at a good clip and a majority of the time, the story portrays the women as smart, not ding-y lol.
Having lived in the San Francisco area, it was a lot of fun to read a book based there, although more details could have been written to cement the sense and story of “The City” (as we called it), and its sub-culture of wealth that this story exists in. I also would have liked the book to have one or two male characters with some, well, character, to balance things out. I had a few other plot quibbles, but won’t disclose those to keep this review spoiler-free.
Overall, a very enjoyable read! Thank you to #netgalley for sharing an advance copy of #TheSinfulLivesOfTrophyWives!

I really enjoyed this book. It was quite a page turner. I look forward to reading more from this author. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy.

Having never watched an episode of “Real Housewives,” I questioned my motivation for reading this novel as I started the first few chapters. The storyline reads like a daytime soap opera with all the stereotypes of the one per cent living in Presidio Terrace, an exclusive San Francisco community. However, once I got past my hesitation, I found myself fully engaged in a fast-paced suspense novel, which exceeded my expectations.
The story focuses on three women, all neighbors in the above-mentioned community. Twice-widowed, Georgia is rumored to be a “Black Widow” who killed her husbands for their money. Now engaged to yet another wealthy man, her impending marriage is raising new suspicions as her betrothed goes missing the night of their pre-nuptial party. Erin is a successful newscaster who is facing the possibility of her plastic surgeon husband’s infidelity while her career is on shaky ground. Brooke, a murder mystery writer, is new to the neighborhood and, while a bit leery of her neighbors, is fascinated by the two and their complicated relationships.
The character development is well-drawn, if a bit clichéd. Once Georgia’s fiancé goes missing the tension picks up and I could not put the book down until I finished it. The storyline has several unexpected twists that kept me riveted and the conclusion is satisfying in a way that matches the overall tone of the book. If there is any lesson from this story it’s “money can’t buy happiness (nor class).” The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives is a sinfully good read.
