This book was not at all what I was expecting, and I don’t mean that in a bad way! It was a completely original storyline that pulled me in from the first page. I read the entire thing in two days! My only constructive criticism is that there seemed to be a few loose ends that still felt unresolved by the end of the book, and some of the characters felt a little flat/underdeveloped to me. Some of the scenarios were also completely over-the-top and not entirely believable. That being said, I was definitely surprised by the ending and I found it engaging and enjoyable overall.

WOW oh WOW

This is the first ARC I have ever received and it did NOT disappoint. Everything about this books was amazing. It follows three women (housewives) ; Brooke, Erin, and the "Black Widow" AKA Georgia.

Brooke and her husband Jack decide to move to the rich suburbs and what they find lurking there will change their lives forever.

Georgia is known as the "Black Widow" because every single husband of hers has died a horrible death right after they marry. Leaving her in the chaos of every single death, she has gained the nickname and it stuck. Everyone seems to think that Georgia had something to do with the deaths and she got away with their fortunes. However, in this book it focuses on her and her soon to be husband; Robert. Although, things are never as they seem. After their dinner on Roberts Yacht one night he goes missing and obviously everyone is looking at the Black Widow to blame...

There are some twists in this book & the big one really got me. I had no idea what was about to happen and I LOVE IT LIKE THAT! I hate being able to predict the endings but I did not predict this one AT ALL.

Georgia, Brooke, and Erin are three trophy wives living in an opulent neighborhood in the Bay Area. Georgia’s first two husbands have died in suspicious manners shortly after their marriages. She is about to marry #3. Kristine Miller does an excellent job of keeping the reader in suspense throughout the book. The many plot twists kept me thoroughly engaged. Though I didn’t love the ending, overall this was a solid read. I thank NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Wow!!!! I loved this book. I have not read this author before, it was excellent! I read it so fast I was mad at myself I didn’t slow it down so I could savor it just a little longer.

Highly recommend!

This is psychological suspense at its best. There are interesting characters that have deep feelings and hidden secrets in this book. This is definitely a character driven story told by three women who live in an exclusive gated community. Georgia is known as the Black Widow because two of her husbands died within a year of each other.
Brooke is a writer married to a billionaire tech wizard. Erin and Georgia are best friends. Erin is a news personality
who finally had enough ridicule from her co-anchor and quit minutes before she was due on the air. Together these three women create more drama than could be expected. Feelings run high but through it all the three remain faithful to each other. The story held my attention from the first page to the last. I highly recommend this book.
I received an Advanced Reader's Copy from Ballantine Books through NetGalley. The opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Presidio Terrace is Wisteria Lane on steroids. New neighbor Brooke quickly bonds with the feisty HOA pres, and the “Black Widow.” Word is she might’ve offed her two husbands. Wild happenings ensue. This was kind of fun, honestly, but I keep getting hung up on an incorrect, though minor, shoe reference deet; Louboutins are the ones with the red soles, not Louis Vuitton. A trophy wife would know this! Hopefully this will be corrected prior to publication. Otherwise, this was a dark, fun read! Thanks for the opportunity to read and review!

In her latest tale of mayhem, Miller introduces three friends from the tony San Francisco neighborhood of Presidio Terrace. Meet Georgia St. Claire, the Black Widow with the dubious reputation of losing spouses. Erin King, the slightly over-the-hill TV news anchor. And Brooke Davies, the young, lithe billionaire’s wife and mystery writer. The story unfolds through these ladies’ first-person perspectives of events leading to the tragic opening scene. The reader enters the story where it ends, but just when you think you’ve got it all figured out…you don’t! Miller hooks readers immediately, from page one, and it’s a rollercoaster ride from there in this fast-paced and morbidly fun who-done-it.

If Desperate Housewives and Big Little Lies had a baby, I feel like it would be this book. It’s full of over-the-top drama, secrets and lies.

There’s a new housewife on the (ridiculously rich) block, and she quickly befriends two of her female neighbors - a local news anchor and a woman known as “The Black Widow” due to the mysterious circumstances surrounding her previous husbands’ (yes, plural) deaths. And what would a book about trophy wives be without some marital strife thrown in the mix?

At the book’s start, a tragic accident has occurred, and we are only given the perspective/current situation for one of the three women. We then jump back one week in time, and the chapters rotate through each woman’s perspective as the story builds up to the accident.

Did I have a hard time putting this one down? Yes! It’s fast-paced, and I wanted to get to the bottom of the story. Do I think the writing could be a bit better? Also yes. I wasn’t really a fan of the main characters, and the plot twists were mostly predictable except for one, which was so over-the-top it felt like a convenient way to wrap up the story vs. a shocking, delicious twist. All in all, very entertaining but perhaps poor execution in some areas. This would be a great vacation read!

Thank you to NetGalley for the free ARC in exchange for my honest review.

HOLY MOLY!!! This book was nuts!! First time author for me - and I can NOT wait to read more! I didn't anticipate the twists nor the turns and my heart literally raced as I was reading!! I'm a fiction junkie and generally specialize in chick lit - but got seriously sucked into this psychological thriller within the first chapter. Loads of praise for this book, that I absolutely could NOT put down! I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley, so thankful for the opportunity to fall in love with a new author.

A sinfully wicked psychological thriller that exceeded all my expectations and then some. This was probably the fastest I have ever read a book because the pace just never let up. I enjoyed the nastiness of the characters and the lengths they went to get what they wanted. Georgia was known as the "Black Widow" in her luxurious gated community because her two very rich husbands had died of mysterious circumstances. She was currently engaged to another moneyed man Robert. Erin, a news anchor, was Georgia's friend who lived in the same neighborhood and was married to a plastic surgeon named Mason. Brooke and Jack just moved into the neighborhood ..As Brooke got to know the two other women she knew they were hiding secrets. Then a terrible accident occurred and had everyone wondering if Georgia has spun another web! There are twists galore and believe me the last one is a bombshell! Wildly entertaining and so much fun!

This is one of those fun reads that keeps twisting and turning. Just when you think you have the whole plot figured out, something new is added and it turns in a new direction. I loved the layers that were in each character. Georgia, Brooke and Erin. They each were complicated In their own way. But they held a bond that kept them tethered together and as flighty as they came off they were friends through all.
Thanks NetGalley for this book. It was a fast fun read I truly enjoyed. A delicious book that holds some sinful characters that entertain.

Good news! If you like “The Real Housewives” then you’ll probably like this book! Chock full of drama and crazy people doing crazy things. The bad news: I unfortunately don’t like The Real Housewives. This book started out with the possibility of being a great domestic thriller, but unfortunately it just left a lot to be desired.. The events were too outlandish and unbelievable (I.e. a woman still holding her wedding reception even though the groom went missing? The minimal amount of discussion around a murder involving two of the main characters?) The character relationships also didn’t work for me- did these people like each other? Did they not? Were the husbands and wives happy? Were they not? I felt like I could never tell who liked who. I also prefer a little bit more build up around huge events, and I felt like this book would drop a huge bombshell of information on me out of the blue. I would rate this 2.5 ⭐️- there were some pretty big twists and it was a quick read. It’s definitely chock full of drama as well!

4+ stars

Erin, Georgia and Brooke are all neighbors in a very high end San Francisco neighborhood married to wealthy men. Georgia’s first two husbands died suspiciously and she is about to marry her third husband. Erin is a local news anchor. Brooke is a mystery writer and just moved into Presidio Terrace.

It’s a bit like if the Stepford Wives revolted. Erin is not likable but there is something about Georgia that is captivating. I didn’t see a major twist. Over the top but a fun quick read.

This was the first time I have read a Kristin Miller book. I was so delighted to read it. It was sinfully delectable. It does not disappoint and is just like you’d think a book with this title would be.

The three trophy wives, Georgia, Erin and Brooke are so interesting. Kristin does a great job of building the characters and throws us right into their homes and lives. A wedding is coming up, a third one for Georgia. Her other two died! As the wedding approaches all hell breaks loose. This book doesn’t lag in any areas and keeps on giving until the very end.

Of course with a book of this nature all kinds of horrible things happen to the characters and it is all expected and accepted because we want drama and scandal and that is exactly what we get. The male characters are not very appealing but it is supposed to be that way. I kept waiting for the next thing to happen throughout the book and there it was!

I do recommend this book for all of those who love juicy novels and for those who like Jill Kargman, Lauren Weisberger, and Shari Lapena. I am so thankful to NetGalley and Ballantine books for this ARC. I appreciate the opportunity to give an honest review.

Wow!! I am so happy the publisher granted my wish for this ARC. I couldn't put this book down. The characters, prestigious neighborhood, drama, wealth, mystery, murder(!), and more were just so engaging. This is the perfect summer read. I was so invested in each of the women in this book. They all had so many secrets and kept me reading and reading! THANK YOU to the publisher and NetGalley for granting me this wish!

If you love Desperate Housewives or Big Little Lies, this book is for you! The sinful lives of trophy wives follows three women and their very wealthy husbands as they navigate the problems that come with having so much money. Brooke is young and attractive and moves into a highly private and coveted area of wealthy people. She befriends the “black widow” Georgia and Erin who just walked out of her full time job to try to be more like the young and free spirited Brooke. When another one of Georgia’s husbands go missing, the girls and their friends do everything they can do figure out what went wrong. This book is told mostly from the perspectives of Brooke and Erin, but starts and ends with Georgia. I wouldn’t categorize it as a thriller, but the story has so many twists and turns it keeps you at the edge of your seat the whole way through. It is a unique story that I have only seen on TV and movies and haven’t read it in a book and it was pulled off beautifully!

This Desperate Housewives meets Real Housewives of San Francisco but only wackier and funnier. I wasn’t sure what to expect when i received this book but it surpassed my expectations. Nothing is what it seems for these 3 women and the twists and turns this book takes are unexpected every time. This book needs to be read if you want to laugh, if you want to cringe, and if you want your jaw to drop.

Thanks to NetGalley and Ballantine Books for the arc.

What better way to binge on trophy housewife drama and a murder mystery? This book had me hooked from the first few pages.

Brooke moves to a ritzy neighborhood with her billionaire husband. She befriends the other wives in the neighborhood, even Georgia, deemed the Black Widow since her two previous husband's mysteriously died. When Georgia's latest fiancé goes missing before the wedding day, Brooke finds herself tangled in a mess of conniving housewives.

This book was definitely a read in one sitting, guilty pleasure! I really enjoyed it! The twist at the end did come as a surprise to me.

Thanks to Net Galley I got to read this one early. Be sure to grab your copy this April!
