I'm not usually the type to like reality TV or salacious characters but I was all over this one reaching for the cocktail without taking my eyes off the page. I just found it fun in a wicked kind of way and tried not to let the shallowness of the characters deter me from the twisty drama with playful, almost hilarious dialog. I loved the San Francisco setting as well so that put me right in the story and I could believe these women existed. What was even better was that the ending has a twist that I didn't expect. I was so caught up in the Desperate Housewives framework that I gave little expectation to the actual murderer and in the end was more than happy. This is a fun poolside read that I think I'll try in audio form at some point.

Admittedly, this one wasn’t my favorite. I had a hard time getting into the characters and finishing this one.

I could sit and tell you all the things I loved about this book or you could just go out and get it tomorrow. I was suppose to read this back in July but life got in the way but this is for sure a new author to love for me. This is such a fun read for me. Some people have trouble finding a place to live in San Francisco. Others can walk into the most prestigious gated community and buy a multi-million-dollar house. Presidio Terrace is home to some of the biggest names in the city, like news anchor Erin King and her husband Mason, a plastic surgeon, or the infamous Georgia St. Claire, also known as The Black Widow. And now, it’s also home to mystery novelist Brooke Davies and her tech billionaire husband Jack.
These women in this story are amazing. I felt like I was reading a cross between Desperate House Wives and Devious Maids which I loved. You will find that in this story you will love and hate all these women at least once before the story is over and it will be great.
Brooke is happy with Jack, and she is looking forward to making friends in their new neighborhood. With Jack working so much, she does get lonely. And to be honest, she’s struggling with her second novel. She could use some inspiration to breathe new life into these characters so she can send it off to her publisher.

Georgia has been married twice already. After a little over a year with her first husband when he tumbled down the marble staircase. He didn’t make it. Then her second husband shot himself in his office. There have been rumors that it was Georgia who killed them, but she has always claimed her innocence, and there have been no arrests in their deaths. Now, she is getting ready to marry again, another wealthy man, and she claims that she genuinely loves Robert. She does everything she can to put the “Black Widow” rumors to rest, because she wants to finally find her happily ever after.

But when Robert goes missing after a pre-wedding party on his yacht, Georgia doesn’t know where to turn for help. She call the police to report him missing, but they won’t take an official report until he’s been missing for 24 hours. As the hours go by with Robert still missing, the women’s secrets start coming out and Brooke learns that all those rumors don’t even start to compare to the truth of Presidio Terrace.

Buckle up for a fun ride because I promise how you think the story will end is very far from how the story ends. Well done. Thank you to all involved in my being selected for this arc I love that I found a new author to love.

The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives makes me want to do nothing else but binge watch Desperate Housewives! Everyone knows everyone else’s business, there’s infidelity, there’s murder, and there’s that one neighbor who isn’t who anyone thought they were!

This book will take you on a wild ride! It is fast paced and you will not want to put it down. The characters themselves are not necessarily likable, and some of the marriages seem rather strange. But there are also twists you won’t expect. The title really does say it all.

4 Stars

Thank you to @netgalley and @randomhouse for a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Presidio Terrance is not for the faint of heart. The women who live there know how do they have it and will do anything, possibly even murder to keep their “trophy wife” status. Each woman in the book has a back story or a crack in their marriage that threatens to upend their whole existences., but when a major incident happens will the facade finally crack for good?

I have mixed feelings about this book. I didn’t find any of the characters interesting/didn’t really like any. There were some twists I didn’t see coming (the partner twist and who knew about the murders). But I was left wondering why Jack and Brooke’s marriage was strange. We never got any answers about that. If you like thrillers, I think you’d like this! Just don’t expect it to be a 5 star read.

Juicy, sparkling, and deliciously twisty, The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives is the perfect beach read. I loved all of the main characters (especially Georgia and her IDGAF what anyone thinks of me attitude). The set up is compelling and the pay off is perfect.

Moving into Presidio Terrace, a prestigious gated community in San Francisco, was seemingly a good fit for Brooke and Jack. His tech company was successful, the home was spectacular, and Brooke, a writer of murder mysteries, was young and beautiful, exactly what you would expect from a trophy wife. Meeting up with Erin, a well-known local news anchor, and Georgia, the alleged “Black Widow,” so named because both her husbands died under mysterious circumstances, helped Brooke feel as though she was fitting into the neighborhood. At Georgia’s engagement party, held on her fiancé Robert’s yacht, the ever-present drama flares up, and after all the guests, with the exception of Erin and Brooke, had left, Robert somehow disappears in the middle of the bay. Of course, the police get involved, and Georgia is once again suspected of murder, though there is only circumstantial evidence.

The title really does say it all – these trophy wives do, in fact, lead sinful lives. I had trouble really connecting to any of them, since I don’t live in a mansion, in a gated community, with a Porsche and/or Mercedes tucked away in my garage, though I found the storyline entertaining. Lots of angst, lots of drama, beautiful settings, and deep, dark secrets – this book has it all. I was struck by the loyalty between these three women, who supported each other through each life crisis, though occasionally ulterior motives and self-preservation did creep in. This was a fast read, with plenty to hold my interest, and (no spoilers) I was surprised by the ending.

*Thank you to NetGalley, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine Books, and Kristin Miller for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*

This book was so much fun to read! A juicy story about three rich women living in a gated community in San Francisco. Erin King, the delusional and aspirational news reporter, married to a plastic surgeon. And Georgina St. Clair, who is getting married for the third time to Robert, even though her first two husbands have died under suspicious circumstances. What will happen to this one? And Brooke, the new girl on the block, a young mystery writer married to a man 20 years her senior. When Robert, Georgina's fiance, disappears after their engagement party, hilarity ensues, when these three "ridiculous women" try to find him before their wedding on Saturday. The question begs, "How well do you actually know your neighbors?". Absolutely delicious and the perfect beach read!

I love books that have my guessing until the very end and this book did that. I really enjoyed how the author built everything up and constantly had me reevaluating what I was thinking and how I thought it would end. I would recommend this to anyone who loves suspense.

What a ride was this story - trophy wives, black widow, mystery writing wife, tv star - these women covered it all. The story started strong, the middle dragged some, and the ending was such a twist. This should be a tv series. Good book club selection.

This was such a fast-paced entertaining read. It was a quick read which had me immersed in the lives of the wives - Brooke, Georgia and Erin.

The twists were really good and I was hooked from page one. It's like a great entertaining soap opera. I think this book will make a superb TV show.

I loved the writing style of the author. I"m looking forward to reading more from her.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for sending a DIgital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Three and a half stars rounded up to four. This is a fast paced, thoroughly entertaining novel about rich people behaving very badly. Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives is easily a book you could finish in one sitting - it is that addictive. Drama, secrets, lies, scandal, characters you love to hate, unexpected twists… it’s all in here. My only disappointment was the ending which was just a little too over the top for my liking. I could see this being a movie or a series, which I would absolutely watch!

This would be a great beach read, or one to get you out of a reading slump!

Thank you @negalley and @randomhouse for the complimentary ebook.

I absolutely loved this book! I was so engrossed by the characters right off the bat. Kristin Miller's writing is out of this world, if you've been in a reading slump this is a great place to start, it absolutely blew me away!

4.5 Stars! Told from multiple perspectives, I enjoyed reading about Erin, Brooke and Georgia's lives inside their gated community. Georgia's nickname is The Black Widow since two of her husbands died shortly after she married them, but is she really at fault or were their deaths truly accidental? Brooke is an author that is new to the neighborhood and Erin is suffering from a midlife crisis (of sorts) with her career.
At times I felt sorry for each of the women for different reasons, but the underlying mystery of it all had me quickly turning the pages. This is rich woman drama at its best and I loved it! Highly recommended if that's the book you are in the mood for!

I really enjoyed the first half of this one. I liked learning about the women’s secrets and history, but I felt like the second half dragged. The twist was good and I didn’t see it coming, so overall it was a good read, just not my favorite.

Thanks Netgalley for a copy.
Pretty good read my only problem is sometimes it was easy to tell which POV was talking. I did enjoy the story.

This is a fast paced, juicy read! Those who enjoy secrets and intrigue will find this fun novel to their liking. It would be a great movie and would engage the audience of women who like chick-flicks.
