I have mixed feelings about this book. I didn’t find any of the characters interesting/didn’t really like any. There were some twists I didn’t see coming (the partner twist and who knew about the murders). But I was left wondering why Jack and Brooke’s marriage was strange. We never got any answers about that. If you like thrillers, I think you’d like this! Just don’t expect it to be a 5 star read.

Juicy, sparkling, and deliciously twisty, The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives is the perfect beach read. I loved all of the main characters (especially Georgia and her IDGAF what anyone thinks of me attitude). The set up is compelling and the pay off is perfect.

Moving into Presidio Terrace, a prestigious gated community in San Francisco, was seemingly a good fit for Brooke and Jack. His tech company was successful, the home was spectacular, and Brooke, a writer of murder mysteries, was young and beautiful, exactly what you would expect from a trophy wife. Meeting up with Erin, a well-known local news anchor, and Georgia, the alleged “Black Widow,” so named because both her husbands died under mysterious circumstances, helped Brooke feel as though she was fitting into the neighborhood. At Georgia’s engagement party, held on her fiancé Robert’s yacht, the ever-present drama flares up, and after all the guests, with the exception of Erin and Brooke, had left, Robert somehow disappears in the middle of the bay. Of course, the police get involved, and Georgia is once again suspected of murder, though there is only circumstantial evidence.

The title really does say it all – these trophy wives do, in fact, lead sinful lives. I had trouble really connecting to any of them, since I don’t live in a mansion, in a gated community, with a Porsche and/or Mercedes tucked away in my garage, though I found the storyline entertaining. Lots of angst, lots of drama, beautiful settings, and deep, dark secrets – this book has it all. I was struck by the loyalty between these three women, who supported each other through each life crisis, though occasionally ulterior motives and self-preservation did creep in. This was a fast read, with plenty to hold my interest, and (no spoilers) I was surprised by the ending.

*Thank you to NetGalley, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine Books, and Kristin Miller for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*

This book was so much fun to read! A juicy story about three rich women living in a gated community in San Francisco. Erin King, the delusional and aspirational news reporter, married to a plastic surgeon. And Georgina St. Clair, who is getting married for the third time to Robert, even though her first two husbands have died under suspicious circumstances. What will happen to this one? And Brooke, the new girl on the block, a young mystery writer married to a man 20 years her senior. When Robert, Georgina's fiance, disappears after their engagement party, hilarity ensues, when these three "ridiculous women" try to find him before their wedding on Saturday. The question begs, "How well do you actually know your neighbors?". Absolutely delicious and the perfect beach read!

I love books that have my guessing until the very end and this book did that. I really enjoyed how the author built everything up and constantly had me reevaluating what I was thinking and how I thought it would end. I would recommend this to anyone who loves suspense.

What a ride was this story - trophy wives, black widow, mystery writing wife, tv star - these women covered it all. The story started strong, the middle dragged some, and the ending was such a twist. This should be a tv series. Good book club selection.

This was such a fast-paced entertaining read. It was a quick read which had me immersed in the lives of the wives - Brooke, Georgia and Erin.

The twists were really good and I was hooked from page one. It's like a great entertaining soap opera. I think this book will make a superb TV show.

I loved the writing style of the author. I"m looking forward to reading more from her.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for sending a DIgital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Three and a half stars rounded up to four. This is a fast paced, thoroughly entertaining novel about rich people behaving very badly. Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives is easily a book you could finish in one sitting - it is that addictive. Drama, secrets, lies, scandal, characters you love to hate, unexpected twists… it’s all in here. My only disappointment was the ending which was just a little too over the top for my liking. I could see this being a movie or a series, which I would absolutely watch!

This would be a great beach read, or one to get you out of a reading slump!

Thank you @negalley and @randomhouse for the complimentary ebook.

I absolutely loved this book! I was so engrossed by the characters right off the bat. Kristin Miller's writing is out of this world, if you've been in a reading slump this is a great place to start, it absolutely blew me away!

4.5 Stars! Told from multiple perspectives, I enjoyed reading about Erin, Brooke and Georgia's lives inside their gated community. Georgia's nickname is The Black Widow since two of her husbands died shortly after she married them, but is she really at fault or were their deaths truly accidental? Brooke is an author that is new to the neighborhood and Erin is suffering from a midlife crisis (of sorts) with her career.
At times I felt sorry for each of the women for different reasons, but the underlying mystery of it all had me quickly turning the pages. This is rich woman drama at its best and I loved it! Highly recommended if that's the book you are in the mood for!

I really enjoyed the first half of this one. I liked learning about the women’s secrets and history, but I felt like the second half dragged. The twist was good and I didn’t see it coming, so overall it was a good read, just not my favorite.

Thanks Netgalley for a copy.
Pretty good read my only problem is sometimes it was easy to tell which POV was talking. I did enjoy the story.

This is a fast paced, juicy read! Those who enjoy secrets and intrigue will find this fun novel to their liking. It would be a great movie and would engage the audience of women who like chick-flicks.

alternating POV, neighborhood drama, fast paced story - great read! hoping for a netflix version! super entertaining and enough twists to keep things interesting.

This was a fun read, with lots of drama - it felt very Real Housewives or daytime soap to me, and I live for low stakes neighborhood drama like the first half of the book. The story surrounding the deaths of Georgia's husbands does eventually add up, but it was even messier than I anticipated. Overall, I enjoyed this a lot and I'll likely recommend it - the writing style made it so fun, and I read it in basically one sitting.

Hmmm. I just finished and have mixed emotions. I really liked the audiobook but I don’t know if this is a book that will stick with me

This book gives us the point of views of 3 mains characters:

Brooke, the newest member of the prestigious, gated community that it's set in, and a mystery writer.
Georgia, a rumored "Black Widow" because her first two husbands died mysteriously, and
Erin: a famous news anchor who knows all too much about just about everything..

But just how much does Erin REALLY know?.. And how much can Brooke dig up?

I enjoyed most of this one! It did surprise and shock me with certain more "thriller" parts that I didn't expect it to have, and all of the characters, male and female, are somehow likable. A fast, fun read!

Thanks to Kristin Miller, Random House Publishing Group - Ballatine and NetGalley!

This is a ready made movie, better then lifetime, maybe HBO? The title tells you all you need to know, based in an exclusive San Francisco enclave, we peek behind immaculate facades and see the plastic lives and melting secrets.. Brooke, an author, is the latest arrival and becomes an integral part of a death investigation and it’s aftermath
