‘Georgia St. Claire allegedly cashed in on the deaths of her first two husbands, earning her the nickname “Black Widow”—and the stares and whispers of her curious neighbors. Rumored to have murdered both men for their fortunes, she claims to have found true love in her third marriage, yet her mysterious, captivating allure keeps everyone guessing.’
THE SINFUL LIVES OF TROPHY WIVES is a Domestic Thriller that centers around three women you love, and at times, may love to hate.
A little predictable in parts and unpredictable in others—an ending that didn’t play out as I expected, though it genuinely satisfies my little dark heart. ;)

Thank you, NetGalley and Ballantine Books, for loaning me an eGalley of THE SINFUL LIVES OF TROPHY WIVES in the request of an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley and Random House for the ARC copy of this book. I picked this up hoping for it to be a mindless read and I was quite pleased with the twists and turns the book took. I thought the characters were fun yet flawed and were entertaining throughout. I knew they all had something to hide and it was exciting to see what we would learn next. I can't wait to read more by this author.

MY THOUGHTS
I enjoyed this witty little thriller! It kind of reminded me of The Wife Upstairs in the sense that it was a domestic thriller that let us peak into the inner workings of the elite upper class. It was a quick read and felt similar to reading a reality TV show. The characters were not particularly likable in my eyes, but I think that aided to the overall story, so it did not deter me. I recommend this one as a quick, refreshing mystery/thriller for those looking to dip their toes into the thriller waters!

This book was enjoyable, but chaotic - there was a lot going on, some of which felt fairly implausible - but I still enjoyed the read nonetheless. Every character was unlikeable (including the men!), but they all kept me guessing about what their intentions were. I enjoyed the final twist and didn't see it coming!

This was an entertaining and twisted book set in a beautiful area of San Francisco. This neighborhood has some scary lady living there, like Georgia, called Black Widow because her previous two husbands are missing. Where did they go? Then there’s Erin, a famous anchorwoman who’s husband is a plastic surgeon and has done a lot of work on his wife. Brooke moves in, her husband is a tech billionaire, and she’s got something to prove to the neighborhood.
This was the perfect beach read, funny, catty and a little shocking. A little like Real Housewives on the page! Lots of twists and turns kept me engaged, 4 stars.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

This would have been a fantastic read on vacation. The characters and story were well developed and overall enjoyable read. I think there were the PERFECT amount of twists and turns in this novel to keep your nose into the book. Brooke, Georgia and Erin gave me desperate housewives vibes.

I love books with drama, mystery, and luxury and this book hit all of those interests and more. It will leave you wanting more and it gets better with each page! Highly recommend.

this book had me hooked from the beginning. A slight touch of morbid comedy mixed with suspense made this a good read.

Private home enclave second-wife drama? Give it to me! This is a Real-Housewives-type neighborhood, complete with an alleged black widow, a nosy reporter, and a new girl married to someone 20+ years her senior. There are unreliable narrators, secrets, and more money than most of us will see in our lives.
It quickly becomes a mystery when the black widow's soon-to-be-husband disappears and everyone is trying to solve the mystery. Overall, this is exactly the perfect kind of summer book that doesn't require deep thinking but is enjoyable throughout. Both the small-talk and action is good to read!

This was a really fun read. This book will keep you guessing the whole time you’re reading it. The book is told from the POV of three different women. The characters are a bit over the top. But they will keep you interested in the story. I recommend checking it out!

This book was very entertaining and "soapy" feeling. It felt like the show Desperate Housewives but in a book version. This book kept me flipping pages, and the ending was very surprising. What a fun beach read!

The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives is deliciously riveting! There are 3 narrators; Georgia, Erin and the new trophy wife Brooke. Even their names sound like trophy wife names! Ever wondered what it would be like to be a spoiled trophy wife? Look no further!
The writer has a great writing style. I was enthralled with those savage women from the start! Georgia is on to husband #3 after the first two died mysteriously. Erin just quit her job and is on the brink- is her husband cheating? And Brooke is hiding something...
I didn't love any characters but I liked to see what they were up to! It's high drama with Real Housewives vibes and a twist of Dallas. Take your drink slowly and enjoy the wicked fun!
3.5 stars and thank you to the publisher for this guilty pleasure.

I have a new favorite author! I found it very difficult to put this book down. The beginning opens with a hospital scene where it's obvious there was a bad accident and nurses are debating over whether or not the patient looks like a woman that's been all over the news. The one that is called The Black Widow.
Then the book picks up before the accident where a couple purchases a new home in the upscale neighborhood with tight security. Jack and Brooke Davies. Jack is a CEO of a search engine company and Brooke is a mystery author. Jack is much older than his wife, which immediately gets Erin King's attention. Erin, a news anchor, lives across the street and is married to a plastic surgeon, Mason. Georgia St. Claire lives next door, and rumor has it that she killed two husbands. She is now engaged to be married to Robert.
The three women quickly become close friends. Jack and Brooke are invited to the pre-wedding party on Robert's yacht. As the evening ends, Brooke accepts an invite to stay overnight on the yacht along with Erin, the bride-to-be, and the groom-to-be. Brooke's reasons for staying on board are selfish and when she is unable to fall asleep, a noise draws her to investigate. The following morning, Georgia is beside herself because Robert is nowhere to be found on the yacht.
With a wedding to take place in three days, the police informing Georgia that maybe Robert has cold feet, but it is Georgia that knows it's not quite so simple.
Georgia's crass humor kept me second-guessing her character. Brooke seemed to live in her husband's shadow and was content to go under the radar. I thought Erin was strong-willed and a go-getter and as layers were peeled back none are what they appear to be. It kept me glued to the pages to see what would take place next and the bombshells kept coming. I was shocked at the ending. Did not see that coming at all.
I received an ARC from NetGalley via Random House Publishing Group--Ballantine and I have voluntarily reviewed this book.

Really liked this book. I have never read anything by this author before. Was a great read. Just when you think you have all figured out. Their is a twist. Really enjoyed.

Love love love this book! I can't wait for the next book from this author. It was so entertaining, well write, and fast lecture.

Such a great domestic thriller! This did not end up being exactly what I expected but in a good way! Three friends in a neighborhood, a missing fiancé, two dead husbands. What more could you want?
This one explores relationships, friendships, and so much more. It will take you on twists and turns that you did not see coming! This is a great reads for fans of suspense but also social hierarchy and friendships.
I absolutely loved this one.

This was a fast-paced and exciting book. Right off the bat you are immersed into the lives of the main characters and sucked in! I highly recommend this read.

I am very conflicted about this book. I found lots of "holes" in the storyline that just were never answered. I enjoyed reading this book but the women in the story just didn't seem real. The writing was easy to follow but too many things just didn't add up which left me very confused. Characters were hard to get to know, what you think about them in one chapter may change in the next chapter. I was surprised by the ending, a great twist!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC in exchange for my honest review. This book was a fun ride from start to finish! I was hooked right away and I love a book that takes place close to where I live. Loved the drama, and all of the twists and turns. Definitely recommend for a fast paced, juicy real housewives-esque story!

This was such a quick and wickedly fun read. It read a lot like a Desperate Housewives episode, which was totally fine with me. I loved the different viewpoints from Erin, Georgia, and Brooke. I wouldn't say this book was full of substance, but if you've read a few heavy books and need a break from your own mind, this is the perfect palate cleanser. Obviously, I was rooting for the girls the entire time, so the ending had me cheering. If you're into guilty pleasure reads, this is right up your alley.
