Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.

Texas Ranger Faith McClellan is back in another great book by LynDee Walker that keeps you guess until the end. Working temporarily on an assignment for the bank fraud division of the rangers, Faith and Graham witness a house fire that leads them into an investigation of a serial killer. Joining with Archie, the three investigate a bizarre case involving a stolen truck of airplane fuel and the a murderer whose victims have ties to Faith's father and his time as Texas Governor. It is an exciting hunt for the perpetrator that uncovers information about Faith's father that she wishes she wasn't true. As the body count rises, Faith realizes that her parents are also in danger. Will she solve the case in time to save their lives? In the midst of the chaos, Faith finds strength and calm in her relationship with Graham, but will she allow herself to accept the love he offers? There is a great surprise ending that keeps you wondering what is next for Faith.

When I picked this up I didn't realize it was part of a series. And while you'll probably find yourself missing pieces, it's pretty easy to read as a jumping in point for the series! I didn't feel lost, just like I was missing some key background pieces.

The story itself is well written with action, mystery, crime, and drama. It caught my interest and held on tight.

Behind the heels. Right at the tail. Just there. Brushed fingers. No! Slipped! So close. Huffed breaths. Clenched jaws. Frustration.

That was the gist of what the detectives, cops, and investigators feel when they're on the hunt for a particularly clever culprit. Or at least, that's what happens in the fictional world. Faith McClellan, a no-nonsense, confident investigator in Texas, goes through similar experiences when a fire accident turns into something more. Faith and her partner, Graham Hardin, are left to wonder if the unfortunate fire breakout was truly an accident or not when they discover that a killer is painting the city red out there….
Faith McClellan was every bit of an assertive, competent cop. Her headstrong nature and sharp thinking attracted me immediately. She and Graham made good partners, in all ways. No Sin Unpunished is the third book in the Faith McClellan Texas Ranger series but I think it can be read well as a standalone. The storyline or the plot was a clever one; with the killer who's the start of it all being a genius to feed the anticipation and excitement to the readers.
Maybe some other time, I would've felt the action pumping through my blood but now, the book just didn't get to me. One reason could've been the numerous references and the working of the American police departments. I didn't understand many of those and it was too tiring to look them up all the time. This made it a little irritating to continue. And not continue it was what I did for a while. I had to drop the story for a while due to not connecting with it as much as I would've liked. But I eventually did manage to finish it but the drive that I had while starting it was just not there.
Even if it didn't leave me high and dry, the excitement lacked. I hope the next book from the author will be one to drive me up the wall.

No sin unpunished is book three in the series. Thankfully it is so well written you don't need to have read the previous books to understand what is going on, although I plan to read the other. This book is that good it makes me want to know what happened before. It definitely can stand alone.

This book starts out with Faith going undercover and selling credit cards but quickly evolves into arson and murder which she suspects her father, the former Governor is somehow connected. I liked the characters and the relationships they share. They definitely work together as a team.

No Sin Unpunished is a very well written romantic suspense. Great plot and character dynamics. I highly recommend this book.

The latest addition to the Texas Ranger Faith McClellan series will keep you reading from the first chapter until the very end…at least it did me. A ruthless killer who is stalking state politicians and killing them in the most gruesome manner. Faith is in the middle of a bank fraud case when she is called to the horrific murder scene. The case slowly winds its way to involve her own family, i.e., her father the former governor of Texas. As the body count rises, finally a lead from an unlikely source will open up the case, but things are not quite what they seem. A truly absorbing read that will touch on Faith’s personal life as the investigation unfolds. I loved the strong female character and her loving and steadfast partner. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

No Sin Unpunished works as a story even with all the different characters that start to become a blur after a while. Readers might find at times it is hard to connect with certain characters because they lack the background information needed.

The mystery works but doesn't stand out in the crowd of other books with the same style of murder mystery.

Thank you to Netgalley for an advance copy of LynDee Walker No Sin Unpunished.

"No Sin Unpunished" is the third book in Walker's Faith McClellan Texas Ranger series. While working undercover to ferret out credit card fraud, Faith stumbles on a major arson fire that burned hotter than almost anything, leaving behind a few corpses. Not a terrible read, but fairly pedestrian.

Boom! Absolutely ignitable.

Wow, what a ride...twists, deceit, conspiracy. What an epic maze that literally was so entwined, detailed & complicated. I could not put it down. I read it in a couple hours.

I had a little question about one point in plot. But other than that I absolutely loved the book. And the end...(I don’t do spoilers) but man it was the BEST EVER. I loved seeing Faith this way. I can’t wait for the next book. Faith McClellan is such a badass. Love this series so much.

***AND since she slipped Kyle Miller in there, well I need him to get a story.***

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Faith who is a Texas ranger drives past a house fire only to learn that s homicide took place. Faith realizes their is a serial killer on the loose. Thus book was well written.

Another solid addition to the Faith McClellan series. Fast-paced, quick read. I finished it in just a few hours. It could be read as a stand-alone but as an avid series reader, I don't recommend it. I would recommend reading the series in order, if only to have an understanding of the relationships/dynamics between the characters.

Thank you #netgalley and #severnriverpublishing for the eARC.

This is a readable story, with a very good pace, but there's just too much nonsense. So, if you shut off your brain and get used to the not very smooth language, you can enjoy this book. I did not.

When a job comes at you from all directions, and there seem to be emergencies needing to be solved all at once, and you’re not sure who’s helping and who’s undermine your efforts, what do you do? Reading this book by LynDee Walker gives you a glimpse into one person’s efforts to do just that. Texas Ranger Faith McClellan faces battles on all fronts and proves up to the task..
