What a fun book to read in the middle of summer!
I absolutely love the Christmas vibes.
There are parts of this book that I loved and parts that I felt were drawn out and kinda blasé. For the most part I enjoyed the characters and the plot lines
Overall I would still recommend it to my friends.

I'm so torn about this book. There were parts that I liked and parts that I really didn't. It felt a little long and drawn out - I think it could have been shorter, easily. Although there were definite character developments, I don't think they were fleshed out fully. Along that vein, I really wish there was an epilogue! I want to know what happened "after".

Overall, this was a cute love story and it's an easy read!

Reading every day in December in July? Yes I am. Loving it? Also yes I am.

This is the story of Bella who loves December but she has just lost her job and has the added problem of not having any income. Bella believes that anything can happen in December.
Then she meets Rory who hates December and just thinks its another month to get through, add in a little Christmas magic and you have one of the loveliest festive stories ever.
Highly recommend but I'm now left really excited for wintery nights!

Trigger warnings: breast cancer and death of a loved one.

Rory and Belle were casual friends in college, but haven’t seen each other in 5 years. Their paths cross at the beginning of December through friends and family and spend a significant amount of time together through the month of December. They’re complete opposites: Rory is serious where Belle is carefree; Belle is a bit wild while Rory is cautious; Rory hates Christmas and Belle loves it. Somehow, this unlikely couple learn to love themselves and heal past hurts.

The main characters and side characters are so much fun! Marsha, a 5 year old little girl, totally stole the show. I really connected to Belle with her love of Christmas and books as well as her spunky personality. Rory is broken but sweet and I loved his grand gesture at the end. This book is perfect for those who love a cozy, sweet Christmas read with a tiny bit of steam thrown in!

Every Day in December by Kitty Wilson will certainly put you in a mind for the magic and romance of Christmas.

Told from the alternating viewpoints of protagonists Belle and Rory, the lead up to New Year's Eve is chronicled from the first day of December. Belle has always loved Christmas, despite being always broke and somewhat of an outlier from the bosom of her slightly dysfunctional family. Rory is home from Australia, fearing the worst as his mother faces a difficult diagnosis. The odds are stacked against these two lonely and struggling souls but, as we know, Christmas has a way of bringing people together in the most unexpected of ways, and fate plays a hand in this holiday romcom that is light and warmhearted. Add this to your TBR if you are looking for some holiday spirit, in any season.

Many thanks to NetGalley and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for an ARC.

Who doesn’t love a Christmas/ holiday romance- even in July!

This book has a dual perspective, which is something I love with romances.

I thought the scene was set perfectly for the holidays and it almost made me want snow (almost).

I love a friend to lover romance. They tend to feel genuine because you’re getting to know and appreciate someone, and then have it become a romance. They help each other through a month that is difficult for them and it is sweet to watch.

However, this was slow to start… almost too slow. I’m thankful that it was an instalove romance, but I would have liked to see it get a move on a little sooner.

A warm, easy to read, feel good, romantic comedy....what could be better.

Belle absolutly loves christmas and wants every bpdy to share her joy. She also has an absolute passion for shakespeare, with her dream to take it into schools in order that children learn about this highly successful author. Money is tight but Belle is not afraid of hard work, taking 2 jobs to raise some funds to begin her crusade.

Rory has returned for a month to be with his mum who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. 5 years ago he lost his beloved wife Jess in a car accident and hates christmas witb a passion.
A chance meeting with Belle leads to recognition that they know each other from college days.

Each starts a private agenda....belle to introduce Rory to the delights of christmas, Rory to help Belle get her dream off the ground.

A strong bond and friendship develops between the pair, with both of them facing their own ghosts. But is this enough for the pair to be able to make peace with the past and make a future together.

Lovely read, highly recommend.

Thank you to NetGalley and One More Chapter at HarperCollins UK for the eARC of "Everyday in December" by Kitty Wilson. My opinion is spoiler free and I am writing this with no bias.

Rating: 4 stars

I loved this Christmas romance. The story is made up of 2 main characters and it switches points of view between them both. Belle is honest and loves Christmas, Rory is strong, genuine and hates Christmas. They are old friends so it's a friends to lovers trope. This book is a slow burner which is beautiful, especially for the winter season. However, my favourite character must be mentioned. Marsha is Lisa's daughter and I absolutely adore her and I think Wilson should write a spinoff purely for Marsha and her future.

I enjoyed this story! It was nice feel good rom com that gave me those lovely christmas feelings during the summer. I did find both of the characters to be a bit bland and it took a while for their story to take off, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless.

***Every Day in December. I had high hopes for this story after reading the blurb, but found the book somewhat tedious. The characters were immature and socially awkward. Rory is consumed by guilt because his girlfriend died. He has spent 5 years shutting himself off from meaningful relationships. Belle comes from a family that never has accepted or appreciated her and therefore has hidden her talents and light. They spend December together, he bolstering her confidence; she renewing his appreciation for Christmas. I want to classify this as young adult fiction more appropriate for that age group than my own. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley.

Talk about Slow Burn Romance! This book was an absolutely fantastic slow burn, friends-to-lovers books for the holiday season! I mean i am seriously obsessed. The story is unique and wholesome, the characters are interesting and the writing is individual and fantastic. There is enough mystery behind the lives of each character that just makes you HAVE to keep reading from the very beginning.

Rory is a perfect gentlemen (Well, until he isn’t, but then he is again) and I adore how the author is able to highlight his vulnerability because I often think we sometimes don’t get to see a man being vulnerable.

Belle is someone who is trying to get her life on track and her passion for Shakespeare was written so perfectly that I almost have the urge to read some Shakespeare myself (almost).
This story follows Rory and Belle as they battle through their own struggles in December. Rory hates Christmas and does not want to be back in the town that haunts his dreams, except for the fact that he has to because he’s got to be there for his mum. And Belle is trying to make something out of her passion for Shakespeare but struggles because of the disfunctionality of her family that holds her back. There is something in this book for everyone!

And all the Christmas adventures! It just makes me want to have a white Christmas even more!

It’s safe to say that this has now become a new holiday read for me, one that I will reread every December and I think you should too!

A cute quick read. If you liked the movie Last Christmas then you will like this book. It felt a little same-y to me but it was very readable and Hallmark Chanel. Will be an easy hand sell.

Every Day in December is such a wonderful read! The story follows Belle and Rory as they reconnect and teach each other about friendship, love, and the holiday spirit. There are so many dynamic characters in this story. Rory and Belle, of course, are fantastic. They are both well-developed, relatable protagonists with real issues and worries. Rory and Belle both struggle with their feelings, and guilt, fear, and uncertainty hold them back. They’re both so insecure, especially when it comes to being vulnerable and opening up to love. Each fears rejection, loss, and being hurt so much that it limits the connections they make with people and how far they’re willing to take their relationship. Rory, in particular, is burdened with guilt, and he has much to reconcile before he can truly move forward in life. I think both characters grow a lot throughout the story, and they are good influences on each other.

I love that Belle and Rory develop such a great friendship. Since they knew each other from college, the foundation was already there, but the way they reconnect is lovely. They care for and support each other, and they are so good for each other. They lift each other up, feel safe with each other, and their slow-building romance is absolutely wonderful. Though they are different in many ways, they complement each other well, and I think having no expectations other than friendship really allows them to be at ease with each other.

Belle often brings out the lighthearted side of Rory, and Rory offers Belle some normalcy in the midst of her often chaotic life and family. He shows her unequivocal support, which is something that few have done before, and Belle shows Rory how to live again. I love that both welcome each other into their fold, introducing them to the most important people in their lives. They spend a lot of time together in one month and really get to know and understand each other. This leads to a lot of enchanting fun and even more longing. They are definitely a couple you want to root for!

Other characters in the story are also well developed and compelling. I adored Rory’s mother! She is fun and funny, and she is very wise. Her story is emotional, and her love for life is fantastic. Belle’s goddaughter is another wonderful addition to the story, and I loved the scenes with her in it. She brings a bit of levity to the story, and her innocent enthusiasm is adorable. Belle has such a strong relationship with her goddaughter and is very committed to her, which says a lot about her character and what’s important to her. I think this endears her to Rory even more, much like Rory’s relationship with his mother endears him to Belle.

The holiday spirit is strong in this story, and it brings such a hopeful and positive tone to the book. However, I like that the author also highlighted how difficult the holidays can be for some people. I’ve lost people close to me, and I always find the holidays a bit bittersweet. I feel like the story shows the ups and downs of grief really well while not allowing it to overshadow the hopefulness of the season.

I also love all of the conversations about Shakespeare. Shakespeare is Belle’s passion, and she works so hard to bring her love of the Bard to students in her area. Her enthusiasm for Shakespeare is infectious, and she proves that we can still relate to the themes, stories, and sayings that Shakespeare created. As a former English teacher, I adored this part of the story! Belle inspires, and that’s a wonderful testament to her skill and sincerity.

A touching, slow-burn romance with wonderful characters and a heart-warming love story, this is a fabulous holiday read. This is my first read by Kitty Wilson, but it certainly isn’t my last! Thanks so much to NetGalley, One More Chapter, and the author for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

Belle and Rory know each other from university and meet again when he is helping her Dad with PR issues. They are opposites but the more time they spend together they more they start to fall for each other. Rory is supposed to be going back to Australia, so will they have a chance together?

A great read.

I really enjoyed this book, and I liked the format. Each chapter is one day in the month of December, from the point of view of one of the main characters. I felt that I really got to know both of the characters well, and it was lovely to watch their story unfold. With all that is going on in our world, it was therapeutic to settle into this story and forget everything else for a bit. ❤️🇬🇧

Christmas is coming early!!
You know that warmth you get during the Holiday season? This book gives you that.
The journey we take for our characters to fall in love is not the fastest , but the happily ever after that is served is magical.
Sometimes, you have to let go who you were and what you went through in the past to be able to see the potential of your future... And we got a beautiful case of that here.
Great book!
