I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

A lovely book about women of different ages, family and of course love. Clare finds herself feeling uneasy when her daughter Ellie brings home a new boyfriend, especially as it is closer to her age than her daughters. Not helped by the fact her husband seems more interested in is wine collection than his wife. A feelgood read showing life isn't always greener on the other side. I was sad to find this author has now passed away.

Old Enough to Know Better follows the story of several women who had relationships with older men which started off as exciting and glamourous but may not seem as such when the men reach old age. When they see other younger women following in their footsteps twenty/thirty years on would they advise them against doing so? They start to consider big questions such as how do the relationships differ years down the line when the husbands are turning frail and start to develop medical issues? Would they do it all again given a second chance to make the decision? Should they have stuck to someone around their own age?

A gentle romance with some moments of temptation, anxiety and stress this book by Jane Wenham-Jones is an easy and pleasant read.

A good read .The book was well written and the three sisters at the heart of the story came across well as they struggled with problems around middle age. Enjoyed it

I'm not the target demographic for this novel, I believe. I'm much closer in age to Clare's daughter Ellie than Clare herself. So, that did take me out of the book quite a bit.

There were a LOT of characters in this book and for me, too many to keep track of. Sadly, overall this was not one for me.

I would recommend this to anyone interested in a family saga featuring middle aged women and their families. I was not the target demographic for this book, but I did enjoy it. While it moves a little slow, the characters were enjoyable and there are some sweet and funny moments throughout.

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.

This book is about different relationships all with several families and couples and how they interact with each put regardless of their age.

Didn’t really enjoy this book very much, reading all the reviews made me expect so much more.

Unfortunately this simply wasn’t for me. It was well written, however I found the plot quite slow and I did have to push myself to finish reading.

Loved this book.
Like the way it shows how hard it is to be married to men who are stubborn.
I'm glad it ended well for everyone and the ones who you think are going to have affairs didn't and they saw sense in the end.

A great read about age gap relationships and how they can provide different things at different stages in your life. The relationships were wonderfully drawn and you become invested in the characters. Well worth a read.

My thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins for a copy of “ Old Enough To Know Better “ for an honest review.

I really enjoyed reading this light hearted , but also at times poignant book.
I thought the characters were all well written and the storyline was a little bit different from the norm ,
dealing with age gaps in relationships, so this made it stand out from the crowd.
I had only just begun reading this when I saw the sad news that Jane Wenham- Jones had passed away.
This final book is a good testament to her talent.

Old Enough To Know Better by Jane Wenham-Jones is a contemporary novel about life and love, families and friendships.
The reader meets several families and couples who interact with each other. We see new loves and also older, more established relationships. We learn the importance of talking through things and putting an effort in, in order to make relationships work. We need to keep the channels of communication open.
Each day brings fresh challenges. We need to face them, deal with them wisely and responsibly. We see temptations placed along the way. If we are being tempted, we need to remove ourselves from the source. We also witness a deep love that lasts.
There are kind-hearted souls who always look out for the welfare of others.
This is a book about human interactions. It is light-hearted but there are some deep-seated truths. I enjoyed it.
I received a free copy via Net Galley. A favourable review was not required. All opinions are my own.

A great and easy read, got through in a couple of sittings.

The story centres on the lives of 3 women, Clare, Ellie (Clare’s daughter) and Anna who works with Ellie.

Ellie is a typical Daddy’s girl, immature and recently engaged to Tom a man 20 years older than her. Anna and Clare both know what it’s like to be married to an older man. Each woman goes through their own challenge with their relationships with the man in their lives.

Really enjoyed reading this book and thanks to the Author, Netgalley and the publisher for the Opportunity to read the book in exchange for an honest review.

EEEEEEP. Too many characters and I am not connecting with them at all. I have made the decision to put this title down. I am not going to say this would not be a good fit for another reader. Unfortunately, it did not grab me and I have zero desire to keep going.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this title.

This one just wasn't for me. I got to just about halfway and had to admit defeat.
I don't know what it was about it, I just didn't connect.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for an ARC to review

My thanks to Netgalley for my Kindle copy of Old Enough to Know Better such an intelligent take on love whether in your twenties or even your sixties to eighties, so rare in the romance genre. This is as much a family drama though and a thoroughly enjoyable one too, I just didn't want it to end and I'm sure I'll still be thinking about the characters for weeks to come. A wonderful book.

This book is the story of several couples with large age differences. A mother with an older husband, her daughter with an older boyfriend, a working acquaintance and his older colleague make up the majority of the characters. My problem was that nothing really happens. Because there wasn’t much of a plot, I had a hard time remembering who was who and how they connected. I thank the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.

This was a light read about age-gap romances. I usually like them as love didn't see the numbers. Here the ladies were in their prime and the men were in their 70s, This was sweet and tender and I liked how the author made the story lovable

3 women all with either much older husbands or husbands working away, not getting the attention that they deserve. Will they stray or remain faithful and find love once again with their partners.
Both funny and thought provoking, a riveting read.

This book made me laugh out loud at several parts. You fall a bit in love with the main characters in this book and honestly want their lives to go good for them. It’s a fun ride of a book.
