Thank you to the publisher & Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. I have enjoyed Chip & Joanna's other books, so I knew this one would be no different. I just love them so much!

I really enjoyed this book by Chip Gaines. The title/description leaves a bit to be desired, but overall a great memoir/motivational book. My full review was posted to youtube at the following link: https://youtu.be/KEPxr0KTVq8

Entertaining, not earth shattering. I guess these types of memoirs just help to build the ever growing Magnolia brand etc etc etc.

If you are looking for a book about networking and building your business, centering around all the normal avenues of networking, this is not the book for you.

Chip Gaines gives us new and wonderful insight to networking by putting the emphasis on networking via relationships throughout your life that help build your character and teach you to use your ability to work hard for what you achieve. We learn about the hard work he has done since childhood and how that influences his opinion of networking.

I would recommend this book, not only to Chip and Joanna Gaines fans, but to anyone trying to learn to achieve success through being a hard-working, good person and not expecting your success to just be given to you.

I received a copy of this book from Thomas Publishing – W Publishing and NetGalley. The opinions expressed are my own.

Chip Gaines' No Pain, No Gaines is a great business guide for those looking to make connections, and be a success. The reader is given a lot of solid advice. But it's essentially a guide for making your own success, believing that you are in charge of your destiny. I enjoy this a lot.

I have never watched Chip or Joanna's shows, but I can appreciate their relationship and this memoir.

I'm glad I found this book and definitely recommend it.

I love Chip Gaines so it's no shock that I love this book. I work in politics so networking really is one of the most important things we do. Networking is important in all aspects of work and I think that's what makes the advice so unique. I really liked the layout of the book and it flowed nicely.

If you love Chip Gaines on Fixer Upper, you need this book! It is just regular ol' Chip, giving readers his trademark witty banter, practical tips and straight-talk. Plus, it's chock-full of examples of why you need to build a network of people around you to help you to take risks and tackle your fears... all while living in your passion and purpose.

Thanks to Thomas Nelson for access to the e-galley, via NetGalley. I also listened to the audio and it's spectacular. Highly recommended!

I am pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I have seen Chip and Joanna on TV and I love the Magnolia Journal but I had no idea about some of the behind-the-scenes “stuff” in their lives. I loved learning about Chip’s life growing up and his inspirational stories. After reading this book I feel like I know them and want to invite them over for dinner!

Chip goes into some experiences he had growing up and even some misconceptions about what he wanted in life when he got older. One part in the book he talks about a country club he used to go to when he was younger and instead of wanting to be involved in the club, he used the experience to learn from club members. He took a second look at things and decided what path would be the most fulfilling in life as well as prosperous instead of just prosperous without meaningful fulfillment.

This book gave me food for thought about decisions in life, what is meaningful, and how to prioritize better. Huge thanks to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for the ARC of this book.

"I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."

This is part autobiography, part motivational lecture, part guide map for finding your network and non-negotiables.

With this latest book by Chip Gaines, we delve a bit deeper into the man himself. What the intersections looked like, that brought him to the place he is now.

I enjoyed this book immensely because I see a lot of myself in Chip. I too want to be a serial entrepreneur. I too enjoy hard work, sweating and getting dirty. I too am driven by something hard to define. As far as the expounding parts of this book, what I say is this, Chip Gaines is not looking down his nose at you. He isn’t preachy. He writes with humility. The expounding parts are more like someone confiding. Saying hey, here are my life lessons, this is what I learned, if maybe you went through a dark period, then this is how you can come through to the other side. Because there is hope on the other side.

Chip Gaines has been gifted in various ways. But not in the ways the medium of television would like you to think. His gift lies in listening, caring, interest, making connections and in lighting a fire under us all.

Never watched their show but have read their books. I found this one to be especially inspiring and think it would be a good graduation gift. It talked about being your authentic self, following your dreams and the importance of really listening to other people’s story.

I am a fan of the Gaines family and the brand they have built. This is a quick read and has Chip’s humor woven throughout. You can tell this is written from his heart. He’s not just the comedy relief for Fixer Upper. He is authentic and compassionate. He gives some great advice on being a better person, ask questions, and genuinely care about others.
