Wow! I'm super happy that I came back to this series and read book 2! This one is much easier to get into and is even stronger than book 1.

We continue meeting banshees here, but this one is a little different. Indigo is a banshee who has learned to channel her song into an actual... song. She is a singer and it is during one of her shows when she meets Tarrien. He's the ice cold warrior that we met in the last book, but here he has been tasked to protect another daughter of the questionable lady in winter. These two sizzle right off the page from the start and it only gets hotter from there

While there is a bit of a quick timeline, mashing in the obligatory misunderstanding phase, I found the action and story engaging enough to write it off. I was completely obsessed with where these two would end up and how they would get out of the rather difficult bind at the end. I'm happy to see a nice resolution and eager to check out book 3!

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I have to say I love the name of the characters Indigo or Indie is a very cool character. She thinks her life is boring. She spends her time singing on stage. Her world is turned upside down when a "Protector" comes from the Winter Court of the Fae. She has people out for her blood. She does not just jump in with both feet, but the book does get a little steamy. It was a fun read. It makes we want to see what the other two books in the series will be like.

There are 2 books to be reviewed here - Banshee Cry and Banshee Song, although there is a 3rd in the series, Banshee power. It is the Blood Fae Chronicles series.
A fantasy novel which takes on a Banshee as a main character which is so different from a witch or a were or...
The thing we all know about Banshees, is that they cry when a death is to happen. Well not so much a cry as a scream. Except that our heroine Banshee has a very soft voice. So not much use as a warning. And she is only part Banshee, the other part is immortal Fae. Which means she has powers.
A good set of fantasy stories. With lots of different Fae and other creatures. Some battles/fights, some power plays, and other normal issues between the various races.
If you like fantasy, then read the 3 books.

Back to the lives of mysterious half-banshees living a quasi-human life in the regular human world. Banshee Song, the 2nd book in the Blood Fae Chronicles, features another of Lady Renna of the Fae's daughters, Indigo.

Indigo helps transmute her powerful banshee voice by singing her heart out on stage. One night, her typically boring life gets turned upside down by a snarky male and unhinged, magical beasts out for blood. The sexy, mysterious male is a warrior from Winter Court come to protect me as charged by my estranged mother. Now my life is being threatened by a mysterious magical force and I must trust a man that alternately makes my blood boil and heat for different reasons.

I'm really enjoying this continued story arc of a mysterious magical faction out for half-banshee blood and their true name. Lady Renna is a piece of work but I do think that ultimately she does "care" for her daughters (as much as a narcissist can care for anything beyond themselves). The end of this sort of leaves the reader in a state of to be continued. The setup leaves us with the sisters starting to discover each other and band together, the Fae prince, and we are starting the get the further introduction of the Supernatural Police. So we are really sort of triggered into buying the next books. Gah! have to see how this plays out!!! Banshee Power, here I come!

Kinda of a meh read for me. Just couldn't get into the story. Something was missing in the story telling.

Sexy steamy and full of action. I loved the characters and I think the premise of a banshee as the heroine is something quite unique and I liked that

A enjoyable book despite some flaws

This book has me confused too. The first one was really problematic in my opinion and even if it was better for this one, the smut wasn't it for me. The sex scenes felt unnecessary and again, I thought the two characters barely knew each other so it was disturbing. However, it's really a shame because the rest is really good! I enjoyed how the mystery continues to unravel. The fight scenes were really well written, and I was into it! The world is very well constructed and enthralling and the characters are intriguing and cool. I found it a little too short, and the romance is starting to get predictable because it's always the same for the series: new banshee meets new guy and they have sex a day later or so. Kind of rushed and useless to me, but it's my opinion only.

All in all, it would be really good if the smut wasn't brought out so early I think.

"Then I'll just have to melt that ice around your heart, won't I?"

Well I didn’t like this story as much as book one. I feel the author is well versed and the characters were well written and the story moved along great the right direction, unfortunately it just didn’t capture me. I don’t feel this should be titled steamy, it’s got some love scenes but not what you expect when you see steamy in the title, just my opinion.

This is the 2nd book in a quartet. Indie is a half banshee with a voice. She sings in front of audiences that are enthralled by her voice. Tarrien is a faerie paying off a debt to Indie's absentee mother. What happens next surprises them all. A one sitting read that you can enjoy as a standalone.

An enjoyable story that I didn’t want to put down! I loved both the main characters and enjoyed the pace of the story. 4 stars

BANSHEE SONG is the second novella in the Blood Fae Chronicles series, and this time we meet Indie. Whereas Aleah was voiceless, Indie uses her voice to entertain and has worked her way up through the ranks to become a lead performer. Tarrien is sent to her for her protection, but he didn't count on Indie's stubborn refusal to have anything to do with him because of his association with her mother.

The attraction between these two is almost instantaneous (if you ignore the smirks when he was in the audience). Indie is a great character who refuses to give in to fear. Tarrien is the perfect foil for her, although his mouth does get him into trouble at times.

With the same fast pace as book one, I can happily say I enjoyed this one just as much. I hope the sisters do get to meet up, and I hope that we, as readers, are privy to that meeting. A great addition to the series I have no hesitation in recommending.

This is the second installment in this series and I have to say that I enjoyed it more than the first. There was more character development, the plot line was predictable but interesting and the two main characters were more entertaining. The expansion of the fae world was appreciated and reveal of sinister motives was the icing on the cake.

Her banshee song is her weapon… will it be enough to save those she loves?

This is a sequel that reads well enough to be a standalone imo. Netgalley download free exchange …free review.

Awesome. If there’s anything I hate more than a cynical man, it’s cynical man with fae blood running through his veins.
The story follows a Banshee who sings at a theater for a living. She finds out that something or someone wants to possibly kill her. Her mother sends a sexy fairie warrier to protect her from whatever it is…

Of course, this threat isn’t something she takes too seriously.

The writing for this story is easy to climb into and feel as if you’re bundled into something familiar and cozy.

Hold on to the fury. It’s safer to focus on that, than to fall apart in terror.

The female lead is part human⁸, part banshee. She is likeable from what information and how she reacts to the world, people and situations that are in and happening around her.

She lived a life of foster home and the turmoil of an absent mother who pops into your life ….. after all the child raising occurred and only for brief moments.

Netgalley for this advertises this as a steamy paranormal romance. It’s paranormal and a romance. Steamy? Ehhhh. I’m new to paranormal romance novels so it’s possibly known steamy simply means written out sex scenes and not fade to black/ closed door.

This book is short. My Kindle said it would take me 2 hours to read, Amazon shows 206 pages.

Bring it on, bitches. I still have a voice, and this banshee is not afraid to use it.

So short and for me steamy is a build up and release which was missing within its pages.

Tarrien is the love interest. Who is not supposed to fall in love or want love. But to be a warrior for the winter fae. He is utterly crap at sticking to this whole premise of what these winter warriors are meant to be … no restraint.

I liked and enjoyed reading about these two. The writer makes you want to root for them and want that HEA OR HFN.

WOULD recommend 👌

I enjoyed the second installment of the series. Indigo uses her voice in her profession as a singer and as a banshee to herald a death. Her life is in danger and her mother sends a warrior to protect her. This book is darker than the first, as the story deepens and opens up the readers interest in the rest of the hybrid banshee siblings. I'm eager to read about Maewen.

Even though the plot moved a long it had more action I still could get myself to care for the characters and the story. The romance was dull and not interesting.

I received a free copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This picks up with Terrin directly after end of last book. Jumps right into action, but not much backstory of characters on the whole. There’s an interesting plot twist, but then the book ends before it gets really satisfying if you’re not only about the romance. If you liked the first one, I would recommend waiting until more came out and getting a collection rather than reading them as they come out.

This is a series with a large plot connecting each story but with new main characters at the centre of each book. This is a short book and unlike the previous book, the sex felt much more natural and a part of the overall story. I am really enjoying this take on the paranormal world set in Australia. The idea that there are so many half-banshee siblings gives the series a lot of opportunities for some interesting things. We discover who the real baddies are in this book and I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.

I decided not to read this because the way the 1st book ended was disappointing. I think that if the 1st book didn't stop in a spot where it seemed like there was more to the story, or if this book was a continuation of the characters in the first book then I would of read this one.

This book has mature scenes. It is advised that persons of appropriate age read this book.

Just like the first novella in this series, I really liked the second.

This book is a novella. The story isn’t overly long, meaning there’s no real lulls in the storyline. As a reader, you’re always kept on your toes. I think this book would be great for anyone who’s in a reading slump.

I liked Indie and Tarrien a lot. I think I liked them more than Luc and Aleah from the first novel.

I was a little disappointed that Luc and Aleah was only really mentioned in passing. I was looking forward to seeing how they would interact with Tarrien and Indie in this sequel, however, I feel like they will all be present in the final book of this series.

There is a couple of spicy scenes in this book, but I’m very thankful that Jen didn’t use the word ‘loins’ as much.

This was a quick easy read.
I enjoyed the first book more than this one.
It was an ok read, Tarrien grew on me.
