Brilliant, I loved it. Jack Carr is fast becoming one of my favourite authors. It was easy to lose myself between the pages for many enjoyable hours. For an Action Thriller, Savage Son has everything you want, a great character in James Reece, an edgy and tense plot. I also like that I couldn’t guess what was going to happen from one moment to the next.
Vic Rodriguez was keen to have James Reece on his permanent staff at the CIA. Reece was currently a temporary contract employee of the CIA’s paramilitary ground branch, however he was just recovering from having a benign brain tumor removed from his head. One that until recently thought was going to kill him. His close friend and former Navy Seal teammate Raife Hastings, had offered Reece to recover at their family property in Montana, at Kumba Ranch. Things improved significantly for Reece when Katie Buranek agreed to a visit, as he was becoming quite close to her. Half a world away, Oliver Grey is trying to track Reece down, as he would like nothing better than to see Reece dead. Problem is, Reece is obviously totally off the grid, and even if he did find him, Grey knew that Reece was going to be a very hard man to kill.
From start to finish this is an exceptional book, and I would certainly recommend it. 5/5 Star Rating.
