This is such a fun series! It walks the reader through writing a fairy tale adventure, with helpful prompts throughout to give the reader ideas for what story elements to include. I was a wicked witch, traveling with my trusty goat through the dark woods, over the troll bridge, and into the snow-capped mountains in search of the goblin cave. Fortunately, I had a map, along with my spellbook, and a pen and ink. When I arrived, I was greeted by a toad. I shared my meal of witch's stew made with fresh forest mushrooms with him, and he warned me of the mischievous imp who would try to lead me astray, but I found the goblin library and scored a lifetime's worth of books to take back to my treehouse in the woods. What sort of adventure would you have?

I enjoyed this quick and fun read, well, choice-making process as I journeyed through the pages of very many fairy tales each time I went from Once Upon to The End. You start off by picking who you want to be, pick out costumes and companions, and then set out to seek adventures, defeat villains, and celebrate. And you do it all over again, each time a little bit differently!!

And I believe you can sneak in quick math lessons if you are reading to your little adventurer. Mind-boggling math about permutations and combinations, of course, but you could certainly attempt it if you wish!!

Definitely a book that will ignite imaginations and curiosity – for both story telling and at the wonder that is math! A suggestion would be to have the kids expand upon each (or some of these) and maybe help them write those stories down! It will also help in both reading and writing skills in a fun way. They could also illustrate it using the help of already existing illustrations in this beautiful book.

Kids who love fairy tales will ADORE this book. I shared it with my adventure loving, fairy tale obsessed grade schooler and she demanded her own copy. Truly fun.

With this book, you have many different stories to choose. As a child, those types of books always fascinated me. And, now as a mother, I tend to look for these types of books for my own children.

I would definitely buy this book for a child as this can become quite an useful tool to show him/her the fun of reading.

What a cute book! I like being able to look at books ahead of time like this to see if I want to buy a copy for my preschool class books. I know that my preschoolers and the school-age kids will love looking through this book and creating their own stories. My preschoolers love telling me stories all the time and I know that they would love using this. I know I would have loved this as a kid. I will definitely be picking this up for the kids.

*Thank you to the publisher for my review copy of the book. All opinions are my own*

I received an eARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This easy to use guide book will help young and new writers to come up with fun fairy tale's of their own. It has helpful questions to guide the writer through their narrative, helping them to decide the course of their story. I think that this would be a great addition to most English classrooms and young writing groups.

Loved the illustrations.

However, I wish that I had received a physical copy instead of a digital copy of this beautiful book because I am not sure how to read this illustrated children's book in choosing your adventures digitally.

I would have given this Five Stars if I could read the physical copy.

Thank you to the publisher for granting my request to read the beautiful novel.

I love this book so much! My seven year old daughter and I loved looking through the pictures and selecting fun options to make stories. It is so fun to even just do it out loud! I think it would be a great motivator for readers and really helps with creative thinking! I will recommend this one to all teachers and librarians!

This is a hundred stories within one illustrated book. The stories change with each telling because it unfolds with the “reader.” On each page an element of a traditional fairy tale begins with a question. For example, what type of hero are you? Where is your destination? Which three items will you take with you? What danger will you face? You can tell a story, write a story, or imagine it instead. Each page is filled with fun and brightly colored objects, people, and places to select from. The story unfolds page by page as the reader make another choice to bring the story to life. It is a wonderful tool for parents who are running out of bedtime stories; and a powerful way to enhance creativity, imagination, and language skills in children. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to share story narrative and structure whether teacher, librarian, parent, storyteller, or child.

I wish I have this kind of book growing up. While younger me would want to be a princess, but I think being a good witch or a troll has it merit. Then I get to choose my outfit. Here I found that this book is also favorable for kids who are learning english. After that, I have to choose with whom would I go to my destined place. So fun!

This book will help your children's imagination go wild. They can create unimaginable stories even strange to their own side, but fun. After a story is done, they can start another amusing one.

The moment we finished reading this, My 3-year-old said, "Can we read it again? Because I really liked that!" I wasn't surprised. She loved picking out her characters for a journey. She loved talking about what she would bring with her on this journey. She loves telling me why each magical home was the better home to live in.

This book leaves a lot to the imagination, and is a great book for interaction between parent and child. This is a unique concept that we definitely enjoyed.
