I enjoyed the book but I just felt that there were too many characters, many of whom didn’t have enough presence in the book to be well developed. However, I loved Fiona’s sass - it added a fun element.

This is such a cute series. I love the added touch of magic and fairy gardens are a favorite in this house! This book has me guessing almost to the end. I’m looking forward to book 3!

An excellent cozy mystery that charms. The characters are wonderful and developing nicely. The mystery is well done and kept me guessing until the reveal. The fairy theme is a touch of whimsy that gives a great escape. Even more than the first book, this one sparked my creativity and I really want to create a fairy garden of my own. I love all the descriptions and tips that are another part of the story. I see a teacup garden in my future! I also really like the fact that recipes are included. This one has some very tempting ones I can't wait to try. I'm looking forward to the next book.

I love this whimsical series.This is The second book in the series and I enjoyed going back to the fairy garden shop in Carmel and seeing how Courtney solved the mystery of how a innocent fairy garden prop was used for murder. This book drew me in with its magical story and I could not put it down I highly recommended this book and the first one in the series

“A Glimmer of a Clue” by Daryl Wood Gerber the 2nd instalment in “A Fairy Garden Mystery" series. What a great follow up to book one, I love all the whimsical characters and learning about fairy gardens. Plus I love all the recipes at the back.

I found the story to be very entertaining as well as full of twists to keep you guessing till the very end.

I like the protagonist Courtney and her fairy Fiona, plus we are learning more about the side characters which helps bring everything to life. Could there be a romance in bloom between Courtney and Brady …

I’m anxiously awaiting for the next instalment as I want to know if Fiona gets her wings as well as learn more about the other fairies.

I highly recommend this series to all my cozy loving friends.

What's not to like! You have Fairies, you have a charming garden and tea shop....with more fairies, you have lots of cute animals, and you have a cozy mystery. I loved this book!

What a great second chapter in the Fairy Garden Mysteries! I was happy to get more a more in depth background on the resident fairies and more information on the people around Courtney Kelly's shop. The fact that she keeps running into dead people just keeps you on your toes!

AND...Is there a romance in the offing? I certainly hope so!!

The mystery was quite well done and I wasn't sure 'who done it' until the murderer was revealed. A wonderful book for a few hours in your warm backyard with some lemonade or possibly a glass on wine. A satisfying read.

Daryl Wood Gerber's, A Glimmer of a Clue is the second book in the Fairy Garden Mystery series. I found this as charming and fun to read as the first in series. This is a wonderful cozy mystery series with all the elements of a great cozy series we readers adore. The author has chose Carmel CA as the setting amid its fairy tale cottages and unique charm which adds so much beauty to this series. Courtney Kelly is our protagnist a former landscaper who followed her familiarity with fairies to open a a local fairy garden shop in Carmel, California.
She has her own fairy Fiona who watches over her and helps her solve crimes. The shop holds fairy garden classes ,book clubs and is well liked in the community after a rocky start. Courtney can see fairies and believes in their abilities with magic and creating good in the world.

When a murder occurs of a contentious woman from their athletic club one of Courtney's good friends is arrested at the scene as the primary suspect. Courtney is afraid that the local police will not look further for the real suspect so she takes on her own investigation complete with interviewing local residents, rubbing people the wrong way and potentially leading herself in harms way. During her inquires she assist in a missing daughter of a local woman, worries about a neighbor and has her own potential growing love interest in Brady the owner of a local eatery.

The sleuth was very well crafted and kept me guessing amid the red herrings and clues. I love the charcter development and how each supporting charcter adds so much to the story. This is a absolutely wonderful cozy read and I look forward to the next in series. Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the opportunity.

Lana is a force around town, but not always in a positive way. At a formal fundraiser, she gets into yet another scuffle and trades a few sharp barbs with several of the attendees. When she's found dead and one of Courtney's friends is found standing over the body, Courtney sets out to prove that Wanda could not have been the killer.

This is the second book in the Fairy Garden series, and I enjoyed it even more than the first book. It's fun learning more about the recurring characters and watching their relationships grow, and the setting sounds like an ideal place to live and work. There were quite a few suspects on my list of potential killers, and the person at the top of that list actually turned out to be the culprit, although the motive wasn't what I expected.

Despite liking the story, I'm not sure this series is for me. I know the whole fairy thing is the main theme of the series, and it's supposed to be fun and magical, but I seem to have trouble with it. Maybe it's the continual assertion that "if you just *believe, you'll see them"? In the ghost-themed series I read, nobody is asked to "just believe." Either you see them or you don't, it's not a big deal. I don't know if I will search out the next book in this series, but I enjoy the author's writing so much I might give it one more try.

The magic and lore surrounding the town's fairies add even more depth to the story and the series appeal. I adore this series and really enjoyed this story.

I really enjoyed this second volume in the Fairy Garden Mystery series. I love a little magic mixed into the real world because who doesn’t want to believe magic is just beyond what we let ourselves see? The fairies in this series are cute and fun, and I love that Fiona is taking her cues from Sherlock Holmes. Courtney finds herself first on the scene on yet another murder, this one with her good friend Wanda standing nearby with the murder weapon asking “what have I done.” Despite the evidence stacked against Wanda Courtney is sure she is innocent and since the police seem focused on her Courtney needs to investigate again. I liked the mystery and there were some good twists and turns along the way. This light cozy mystery was just the distraction I needed after a long week. I would like to thanks the author for the chance to read and honestly review this book!

This was a charming cozy mystery. I love that there is a fairy companion, which adds the perfect magical element to the plot. The characters were fantastic, and the mystery was a lot of fun.

A Glimmer of a Clue is the second book the Fairy Garden Mysteries written by Daryl Wood Gerber. I read the first book in the series last year and held out a bit before jumping on this one, but when the blog tour popped up for the book in June, I signed up... I really enjoy Gerber's writing style, characters, settings, and plots. I've read both books in her French Bistro series and was sad when the publisher put them on hold. I really enjoyed her three Aspen Adams novels, which are in between a cozy and a hardcore mystery, and I hope she'll continue penning more. I haven't yet gotten to her Cheese Shop Mysteries as Avery Adams, but that's on my agenda for later this year, and I recently began reading the Cookbook Nook series too.

The Fairy Garden Mysteries take place in a wonderfully chic California town where some people can see the fairies all around the gardens. Main character Courtney used to be in landscaping, but now she owns her own shop where they build fairy gardens and so much more. Her fairy, Fiona, is trying to re-earn trust from her queen after making some bad choices in the past. Together, the two solve a new crime when Courtney's best friend's mother is accused of a murder. The town is filled with charming shops, and the book has so much background on fairies and gardens that you're completely immersed in a glimmering culture of fun and fantasy.

The mystery is good. There are at least six viable suspects, all with side stories of their own... and Courtney works with the local detective to solve the case; sometimes he likes her, sometimes he runs from her! Most of the time, Courtney is pushing her way in, perhaps a little too aggressively, but it makes for fun scenes. She's interested in a guy she went to high school with a decade earlier, so there's a bit of romance and some family values with her dad too. Though the series is somewhat magical, there aren't a lot of these moments except for the concept of a fairy being someone people can see (not all though... it depends on whether you believe).

I am intrigued by the mysteries in these books, but I will admit... I want to learn more about the Fairy Queen and the multiple types of fairies that actually exist. It's a subject I know little about, and whereas in the first book, it wasn't a strong match to my preferences in mysteries, I found this one grew on me much more. It always takes a new series to settle in... and if you enjoy a different kind of setting with all the traditional wonderful elements in a cozy series and those written my Ms. Gerber, then I recommend giving this one a chance. Plus, there are design ideas and recipes, and an overwhelming desire to visit Carmel in California!

The second book in the Fairy Garden mystery series is filled with fairies and plants and lots of fun atmosphere...and an extremely competitive pickleball player who winds up stabbed to death with a letter opener from one of Courtney's fairy gardens. I actually enjoyed this one more than the first book, but I couldn't tell you whether that's because it's a better mystery or because I've had some time to get used to the idea of actual sparkly fairies in a cozy mystery. It's a fun read and if you're curious about making a fairy garden it will give you lots of ideas.

In Daryl Wood Gerber's book, A Glimmer of a Clue which is the second book in the Fairy Garden Mystery series Courtney Kelly, with the help of her righteous fairy friend Fiona, searches out clues to solve a murder. Courtney's friend Wanda Brownie is the main suspect but Courtney knows Wanda would never murder anyone. I liked how Courtney asked questions, checked alibis and eliminated suspects one by one before the crime was solved. I enjoyed this story.

High hopes for this book based on the description, those hopes were not met but I still found the book charming. Easy read, easy to finish in a couple of hours but when you are finished, there is no book hangover and no eager anticipation for the next in the series.

Courtney Kelly owns a very special shop that teaches how to make fairy gardens as well as a tea shop in Carmel, CA. Along with the fairy gardens come real fairies that only allow certain believers to see them of which Courtney is one of them.

Courtney's friend Wanda gets into many public disagreements with Lana whom seems to rub a lot of people the wrong way as well. When Lana is found dead and Wanda over the body, Wanda is arrested.

It is up to Courtney and her fairy friend to help prove Wanda innocent. But there are so many suspects.

This book was so adorable with the fairy gardens and also gives tips on making your own. I really enjoyed the interaction with the characters in this story and will look forward to more of this author.

What a darling story! I loved the fairy's. Courtney can see fairies. Many people in Carmel-by-the-Sea can see them. She runs a shop that creates fairy gardens. In this story, Courtney is out to prove her friend Wanda did not kill the town bully. Lana Lamar thinks she is an art critic. But she is ruthless and mean in her reviews. She also thinks she is queen of the town and that everyone should bow down to her. She is a Pickle Ball ace and wants to keep the title. Wanda's daughter runs an art gallery and Wanda is tired of Lana always dissing everything. Wanda also works at the local sports gym where Lana is the reigning Pickle Ball queen. Wanda and Lana have a knock-out, pony-tail pulling fight in front of the art gallery. Courtney hoses Lana off to stop the fight. Later at a charity event, Lana is found murdered with Wanda leaning over the body with her hands on the murder weapon.

This was so fun. The fairies are adorable. Not all can see them or even believe, but Courtney can. Her fairy, Fiona, is on probation and has to earn her wings. Fiona and Courtney set out to find the killer among a plethora of suspects. I really enjoyed this story and it kept me guessing. So many suspects and several people sneaking around. Great cozy and such a fun escape.

Ms. Wood Gerber has written another excellent cozy mystery addition to the Fairy Garden series. Once I picked this book I didn't put it down until I had finished it.

Courtney is a great main character as she is determined to make sure her friends are cleared of any suspicion when it comes to murder and mayhem. She's also kind and helpful and so creative when it comes to her fairy gardens. Her shop must be a fantastic space to spend time in for any one who is a creative gardener. I do adore her fairy, Fiona, who often makes me laugh as she sleuths along with Courtney. It was also fun to meet Zephyr and learn more about Merryweather, too. A quickly paced plot, several suspects who all had motives for murder, several twists that fooled me completely and then a dramatic reveal as I never guessed who "done it". I'll be waiting for the next one impatiently.
