Reunion Beach is a beautiful tribute to Dorothea Benton Frank. All the writers contributed in a meaningfully way to her memory.

I love this tribute to Dorothea Benton Frank. Such a fun collection of memories and stories dedicated to her beautiful life and career. Each one is slightly different from the other, and are a true reflection of individual styles. I had one little complaint - and it is not really such; but I wanted more! I did not want it to end! I especially loved Elin Hilderbrand's continuation of the character's from Summer of '69, and Adriana Trigiani's story of postcards from heaven was wonderful. Thank you to all of these lovely authors for creating such a beautiful collection of memorabilia for a life lived wonderfully on one's own terms. I believe you were all blessed to call Dorothea Benton Frank friend or better yet, mom.

I wanted to like this book so badly! I love all the novels by Dorothea Benton Frank, and was truly sad to hear of her passing. The concept of this book is a tribute to her through the stories of her (for the most part) author friends. I found the book to be disjointed, and some of the stories to be sub-par. There should be more to unify the individual parts than just DBF.

This book is a tribute to Dorothea Benton Frank, an author who wrote about family, relationships and the Lowcountry. I have never been there, but her books made me feel as if I have. This one has several short stories and a few memoirs written by her friends. From what they all write, Dottie was an amazing woman! The short stories are all beach reads and the memoirs are sweet stories (mostly) about meeting Dotty or time spent. If you're a fan of Dottie or of any of the contributing authors I highly recommend this book - its a lovely tribute to someone I wish I had met. Thank you Netgalley!

These women are some of my favorite authors and it was lovely to read their tributes to Dorothea Benton Frank, who left this earth too soon. If this book is any indication her life was filled with love from family and good friends, and what is more important than loving and being loved.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC of this book. I was so excited to get this book! These women are some of my favorite authors that always take you in to an incredible story. It’s even better that they are honoring Dorothea Benton Frank who passed in 2019. Each author shares a short story or a poem dedicated to Dorothea, Dorothea’s last book idea was for a Beach Reunion. Just by reading the book you can feel how much these women loved Dorothea. I’m so thankful that these ladies are keeping the low country alive in stories.

Tribute to Dorothea Benton Frank!!
Close friends take the title Dorothea was planning, and each add their magic.

I loved seeing another side of Dorothea, I loved her before, now love her more.
I have encouraged patrons looking for a good read to try Dorothea, now even more.
Sparkle on Dorothea!!!

When Ms. Benton Frank passed suddenly last year, a genre lost one of of its favorite authors. Some of her closest literary friends have come together to provide memories, stories, and humorous glimpses into the woman behind the author. You'll find everything from imagined postcards from a writer friend already in the Big Beyond to chick-lit style short stories to remembrances by a famous cook book author. There's something in here for everyone who wants 'one last read' from this now-gone Deep South author; you might not like it all but you won't go away displeased either.

I lived in Atlanta for over 20 years and worked in independent book stores. How I loved all these authors.. I laughed, cried and appreciated all these writers in their remembrance of Dorothea Benton Frank. With her passing( along with Pat Conroy and Anne Rivers Siddons), the South has truly lost some wonderful writers. Thanks so much to these writers for their stories. poems, recipes, etc. I particularly loved the letters from Heaven from Pat Conroy.

A fun collection of short stories and essays about and inspired by Dorothea Benton Frank. I was very pleased to catch up with characters from previous novels from some of the contributors and find some other new authors. Obviously perfect for fans of Frank but for anyone who loves Lowcountry Southern books!

Being a huge fan of these authors but more being a fan of Ms. Frank I was thrilled to get this arc. This tribute to a wonderfully talented woman was just what we who loved Ms. Frank needed. These little short stories were so good and I would love to see them expanded on. I don’t know if that will happen but at least we got this book. I was so moved by Dottie’s husband Peters toast for her memorial. Clearly this woman was loved by those who knew her and those of us who know her through her books. Thank you ladies this was a real treat
