I loved this story. Emma and Levi both think they are pretending to court. But really? They have always loved each other but each afraid to admit it. A lovely story. I recommend highly.

This was a very sweet and lovely book, I haven't read a book like this in a very long time. I did really enjoy the writing of Amity Hope and will be reading more from them soon. I have told my mom she could pick this book up and that she would enjoy it too. I felt for the characters and I loved that. I when I am able to feel and contact to the characters. I want to think Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for letting read and review this book.

Amity Hope is a new to me author, since Amish fiction is one of my genres, I knew I wanted to read this novel. I am so glad that I did. Not only did I find a new author but I found a wonderfully written story with a whole cast of likable characters and community to immerse myself in. I felt at home there and will gladly revisit at my earliest opportunity.

I adored Emma Ziegler, her siblings and Levi Bontrager. There is of course a bit of sadness as Emma’s father has died and she’s left with more responsibility than she should have for someone so young. The story isn’t new but the storyteller is and she added her unique skills to this sweet, heartrending novel.

Kudos to Amity Hope for crafting such a perfectly paced story that I will read again and highly recommend to others. I look forward to the next book in this series.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

Pine Creek Courtship by Amity Hope is the first book in the Pine Creek Series. I enjoyed reading this sweet Amish novel. It was a nice change of pace from the other books that I have been reading and real life. I thought Pine Creek Courtship was well-written with good characters and steady pacing. I like Emma Ziegler who has been through so much. She is working hard to maintain the family farm while caring for her younger siblings. They also have the maple trees to care for as well (they tap the trees for the sap that they turn into maple syrup). Emma can be stubborn though (she has her pride as well). Levi Bontrager is a good man with a caring heart. He loves Emma and wants to help her and keep her safe. I like all the characters in the story especially Emma’s brother, Ezekiel. Sadie, Emma’s sister, had a fondness for animals. She has unique chickens (it was interesting learning about them) and raises goats (makes yummy cheese). I love the drama in the story. It gives the book additional depth and interest. I like how the romance played out between Levi and Emma. There are good values in the story. I like how the Amish in this story care for their families and help others in the community. I am looking forward to the next book in the Pine Creek series. Pine Creek Courtship is a charming Amish tale with strong characters, a pastoral setting, delightful drama, a caring cousin, a rewarding romance, and sweet siblings.

When Emma’ s father dies, she struggles to raise her siblings and keep their maple tree farm afloat. In the midst of trying to keep it all together, her aunt tries to get her to marry a man that Emma clearly despises and is afraid of. He is know for being harsh, abusive and loves to drink alcohol. Since her aunt hasn’t lived in the community for a while, she is not aware of his reputation so she believes Emma is just making things up about this man to avoid marrying him.

When Levi, Emma’s best friend from childhood, walks in on a conversation between Emma and her aunt about marrying this man, Levi comes up with a plan to say they are courting in an effort to help Emma out. As they go through the motions of pretend courting, they both begin to realize there maybe more to the relationship that what they expected.

Then Emma receives a bill in the mail for back taxes that are owed on the farm. After all the hard work and the plan she and Levi put together so she would not lose the farm, could it all be for nothing? How will she make enough money to pay the taxes to keep the farm? Will her siblings have to go live with their aunt after all? Not wanting to receive help from the community, Emma tries to handle it all by herself. Little does she realize how she will truly need Levi’s help and support.

This was a new author to me and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my honest review and opinion.

Emma and Levi’s story in Pine Creek Courtship is an emotional, tug at your heart strings, sweet Amish romance by Amity Hope. In this sweet, heartwarming story Emma Ziegler has just loss her beloved father and wants nothing more than to keep running her family’s maple syrup farm and raise her two younger siblings. Her meddling aunt’s decides Emma needs to marry but her choice for a husband is Emma’s last choice; Pine Creek’s most notorious bachelor, abusive, and nasty. Emma begins to grow desperate, especially since her aunt won’t listen to her and no matter how hard she tries to tell her aunt that the man does not embrace Amish values of faith, way of life, or hard work. Fortunately for Emma, her friend Levi Bontrager overhears and comes to her rescue. Kind and hard working Levi has always wanted to protect his best friend Emma, despite a secret from their younger days caused them to grow apart. Overhearing Emma’s aunt, Levi steps in to claim that Emma cannot wed anyone else as she is currently courting him. Despite feeling guilty for the small lie, Levi hopes that he can not only win back Emma’s trust as well as her heart. As the courting commences, Levi is not only helping Emma but is also mentoring her younger brother who is badly in need of a male influence and guiding hand. After helping to raise her younger siblings and take care of their house and their ill father, Emma needs to learn to be less independent and stubborn, willing to accept help from others; others who love and care for her.
As love grows between Levi and Emma, turning their little lie into a true romance, they must overcome a few obstacles trying their patience and challenging their feelings, but maybe, just maybe, this romance can save both of their futures.

Ms. Hope wrote a wonderfully sweet and moving story that is not to be missed. I struggled to put this story down, staying up late to finish. This story contains strong magnetism, attraction, the magic of love, and charming characters giving Emma and Levi a chance at love, happiness, and a future together. I highly recommend Pine Creek Courtship to other readers.

This was a cute love story. I did however find that sometimes the story dragged a little. The book is predictable but the story overall was fun to read. I feel like when you read an Amish story be prepared to have lots of food talked about, this story is very much the same. It will either leave you hungry or your mouth watering. I loved Sadie and Ezekiel; they just seemed to have a goodness about them among all the loss in their lives. I loved Amelia and I hope that one day there is a follow up story for her. She just seems like a kindred spirit. I liked how the author did keep this a clean read and I find it suitable for all. I would say overall this book is worth the read!

A sweet love story. As Emma loses her only parent she needs to be married to care for her two younger siblings. Levi has loved her for years and steps in to fill the void and court her. It is interesting to see the difference in the way they view courtship, marriage and family. Emma is strong willed and wants to be taken as an equal while Levi just wants to protect her. It takes opening up to get them where they want to be which is happily married.

I have found myself reading and enjoying Amish romances lately and have truly been enjoying them. I love the sweet and charming side of them. Recently I read Pine Creek Courtship by Amity and found it was a charming and delightful read. Emma has done everything needed to care for her family and always putting them first. When her father passes away all she wants is to keep her family together on her family’s farm. But her aunt has very different ideas. Enter Emma’s childhood best friend, Levi. To save her, he claims they are courting. Can Emma and Levi find a way to each other and what matters most to them? This story was about love, family, friendship and faith.

Happy reading!

This is a delightful Amish romance, the first in a new series set in the Pine Creek community.

Emma Ziegler’s had a tough time lately, bringing up her younger brother and sister after her Mum dies and nursing their father whilst also endeavouring to keep the family’s maple syrup farm viable. Following the death of their father, her aunt comes to help. However, she’s a meddler with plans of her own to sell off the family farm, arrange a marriage for Emma and to take the younger children to work on her farm. To make matters worse, she informs Emma of this on the day of her father’s funeral! The man she wants Emma to marry has a dreadful reputation in the community and there’s no way Emma wishes to marry him. That’s when Levi Bontranger comes to her rescue, claiming to her aunt that he and Emma are already courting . . . . and so the Pine Creek courtship begins!!

This is a lovely story showing Levi’s patience, resilience and determination – and his sometimes well intentioned but inconsiderate actions. It is a brilliant romance with a thread of danger and mischief to keep you guessing. Emma thinks Levi is only pretending to court her, can he convince her to give him and their love a real chance or will fate prevent them finding their HEA together? As usual with the beautiful Amish romances, there’s a strong element of family and beliefs permeating the story, adding warmth and caring from the community to form a fabulous recipe for a delicious heartwarming read and a great start to this new series. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and can’t wait to return to this community in future to catch up on events and everyone there.

Thanks to Entangled:Amara and NetGalley for my copy of this book which I have voluntarily read and honestly reviewed.

Emma and Levi had been friends and cared about each other since childhood. When Emma's father died and left her in charge of the farm and her siblings, well meaning relatives tried to get her to marry someone and sell the farm. Levi stepped in and told them he was courting her and the problem would soon be solved. As in all good plots, circumstances led to a lot of soul searching on the way to that goal. It was a fun story with likeable characters ( and a few no so likable ) and interesting events. I totally recommend this book to anyone who loves Amish fiction.

I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from NetGalley. All reviews expressed are only my honest opion.

One of the wonderful things about reading is finding a new author to enjoy. I hope that Amity Hope will be releasing other new stories in the future, as I really enjoyed this very sweet story. And i appreciate the opportunity to read this ARC and provide an honest review- Thank you Netgalley and thank you to the publisher Amara. The main character, Emma, is a strong young lady trying to raise her siblings and keep her deceased parents farm being successful. When a well-meaning but meddling family member tries to marry her off to what could be an abusive and very unpleasant widower, long time friend and neighbor Levi intervenes and helps Emma convince her aunt and other people in the community that Levi and Emma are courting. This leads to a very special strengthening of their friendship as well as some interesting misunderstandings. For fellow readers looking for a new author to enjoy, I certainly recommend Pine Creek Courtship.

What an incredibly moving story! Pine Creek Courtship is the story of Emma Ziegler, who is responsible for not only caring for her brother and sister, but seeing that the family farm continues to be successful. It doesn't help that her Aunt Naomi wants to sell the farm, take her siblings for laborers on her farm, and marry Emma off to an abusive drunkard. That is until Levi Bontrager, Emma's childhood friend, steps in and declares that he and Emma have been courting. As much as Emma hates the lie, she hates the thought of losing her family and her farm even worse so she agrees to court Levi. The two of them grow closer together until things begin to happen around the farm. I love how this story was upbeat even in the face of adversity. The author's imagery made you feel as if you were right there with the characters, sharing their joys and their sorrows. I would recommend this book and I look forward to more books by this author in the future. I would like to thank Entangled - Amara Publishing for allowing me to read and review this book.

Pine Creek Courtship is about an Amish woman, Emma, who has lost both her parents, is raising her two younger siblings, and is trying to keep her family's maple syrup farm running all while trying to manage an arranged courtship. Unfortunately, her controlling aunt has chosen a husband that does not value the Amish tradition as Emma would want. Lucky for Emma, her life-long friend, Levi has stepped in to claim that Emma is currently courting him. This is not entirely true, but when Emma is faced with the choice, Levi seems to be the better option even if she is lying.

Amity Hope does a fantastic job at creating this Amish town with two very lovable characters, Emma and Levi. While they are faced with some startling situations along the way, I was rooting for these two characters to find true love in their "fake" courtship. Emma is devout to her faith and would help anyone that needs it, but she is not as eloquent about accepting help in return. Levi, along with her cousin and siblings, help Emma learn to also accept that love and support that she offers. I highly recommend Pine Creek Courtship to my fellow readers looking for a sweet love story.
