Well what a rollercoaster ride you get reading The Housewife it grips you and you can't put it down. I do believe this is Alex Kane's genre gangland at it's best. Terry is a gangster and a boss with a nasty temper, Richie is his partner and best friend and they rule in Glasgow. One day while terry is in his pub a woman walks in and after she has ordered a drink Terry and Annie start talking and they hit it off and become lovers.Leah is a housewife with a young son and a loving husband but she also has a past.I can honestly say this the best of Alex Kanes book so far i loved it . 5*

Oh my good god what a blooming gripping fantastic read, possibly the best yet from Alex.

Set on the Mainhill Estate which a mix of characters, you have the Whitelaw family, Terry Reid the Bossman gangster.

I was so drawn into Leah and Annie and really felt I was part of them.

Lots of twists and turns that will keep you on tender hooks all the way throughout.

I really enjoyed this fast paced action packed read.

Highly recommended and really cannot wait for Alex's next book.

The Mainhill estate Glasgow,
This is one slap bang read that I loved right through.
Terry Reid business man strong and powerful is known as The Bossman.
He put's a bullet through Frankie Conway's skull, a lowlife he deserves everything coming, what Terry's fiancee Kora Anderson has done was there in black and white on CCTV, she was a liar and she also deserves everything coming to her.
Richie Jackson and his team would soon get rid he and Terry had been mates for years.
The Whitelaw family, Maisie, Lee and Freddie, grow up on the estate with their druggy parents and pregnant Maisie but Reid wants debts payed up.
Leah Martin confesses at the Balness Inn a mum's night out that she stole twenty grand a drunk confession that she will live to regret, and Annie Wicks turns Terry's head its definitely love.
With a shot load of massive twists, and character connections, you will get goose bumps reading this book, I'm telling you now its a must read, all on it's own

i love this authors books but i think this is her best one yet the story pulls you in from page 1 .and you feel as though you are in each room with the characters in the book. the story is based on three people .Leah who ran away with her son and built a new life with her husband Thomas but she took something and they want it back . Annie who becomes the gangster moll but is hiding her past from Terry is the king of Glasgow underworld with his partner Ritchie they all keeping secrets but you could say Lee is a bog character in the book he will do anything to get his sister Masie of the estate from the drugs and his family he has a big heart the twists and turns is brilliant i so hope she carry s on with gangster crime as she so good at it i so so recommend this book
