Synopsis: After a very public breakup Hadley needs to get away for the summer. She makes plans to hang out with her grandmother in a small beach town helping with the family business of running a dog boarding facility. Little does she know that her high school sweet heart and one of the most famous tight ends in NFL has also moved back into the small town to start something new. When a business arrangement has them spending more and more time together they also start to figure out if the feelings that were once there

Thought: I loved this book and definitely wish that I could step into the shoes of Hadley. I think the characters were very developed and relatable. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting a romance book with a small town beach feel. Also a super additional plus but one that I definitely love in books is about puppies. I love how dogs were tied in and included in this story.

I love a second-chance romance & this one didn't disappoint. Coming Home to Seashell Harbor was my first by Miranda Liasson but it for sure won't be my last - I'm looking forward to see what happens in the next book. I loved all the characters, and want to teleport myself to this small town.

I love a romance with a sports twist and having a football player hero made me really excited for this one. Unfortunately it moved a little to slow for my taste and I struggled to get into the plot. DNF at 25%. I think someone who likes second chance romance and a closed door romance would really enjoy this one!

Coming Home to Seashell Harbor is a great small town romance, and first love book. I love the small town romances, you know everyone has to have their nose in the situation!! 😅

Hadley and Tony (aka Cam) are both at crossroads in their lives. Hadley is a Hollywood Publisist. When a very public breakup reveals that her life is not as perfect as she thought, she returns to her hometown of Seashell Harbor, to figure out what she wants truly wants to do with her life. She figures she will spend time with her grandmother, who owns "Pooch Palace ", a doggy spa/hotel/walking business, and help her with that.

Just as she returns home she discovers her grandmother had fallen breaking a hip and is considering retirement. This shakes Hadley as she grew up helping her grandmother with this business until she went off to college.

Tony, her first love, and first to break her heart, has had a career-ending injury that has forced him into an early retirement causing him to focus on his future. Tony is determined to open a restaurant, using his father’s family recipes, but it’s not as simple as all that; including unwanted franchising opportunities.

Hadleys grandmother comes to the 2 of them and states, the fate of the Pooch Palace is at stake, Hayley and Tony are pitted against each other for the fate of the space: a dog rescue or a restaurant.

As you would expect with a small town everyone has an opinion and certain sides they will take. This is also a time for Hadley and Tony "Cam" to get to know each other as adults.

It was a perfect beach read/summer read! I love all the characters, the reconnection of Hadley and Tony, and the slew of pets/animals that become part of their lives.

I would like to thank Netgalley, Forever Publishing and the author Miranda Liasson for providing me with a complimentary copy in exchange for my honest review.

This was a great start to a new series! The characters are all so likable and fun. The small town was a great setting and imbibed cozy, happy feelings. I LOVED the dog rescue aspect, as I’m a huge advocate for animal rescue and I love seeing it supported in books. I loved the plot and found it moved along at a good pace. Overall I enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to reading more in this series! My thanks to the publisher for the advance reader in exchange for my honest review. 3.5 stars.

Thank you to the publisher and the author for the gifted copy of Coming Home to Seashell Harbor! All opinions in this review are my own.

When Hadley's break up with her famous boyfriend is covered in all of the gossip magazines, she decides the best thing to do is go home. Upon her arrival, she learns that her grandma wants to close her business and sell the building. To make matters even worse, Hadley's high school boyfriend wants to buy it and turn it into another chain restaurant. So much for being able to relax quietly in her hometown!

I always love a good second chance romance but the setting of Seashell Harbor made me never want to put this book down. It reminded me of my own summer vacations at the beach and had me wishing it was summer already! I also like that Hadley and Tony had a rivalry for the building brewing for a good part of the book because it almost gave it a hint of enemies to lovers, another favorite trope of mine!

The best part of finishing this book was turning the last page to find out that there will be another book focusing on one of Hadley's friends! I can't wait to read it!

Hadley returns home to Seashell Harbor to help her Grandmother with her dog business. She's had a rough and very public breakup with her famous boyfriend and coming home to help and be with family is just what she needs. The minute she returns she finds that Cam, her first love is also back in town after being injured which ended his professional football career. Determined not to get her heart broken again, she tries to steer clear of Cam, problem is they both want the same building but for different reasons. They are still drawn to each other so when they decide to put the building situation on the back burner to help with a benefit, it's just what they need to find each other again. When things are comfortable between them and it appears they have a chance again, Cam realizes that Hadley is the one that should have the building. By doing this, he leaves town again and Hadley. I don't do spoilers so you have to read the book yourself to find out how they get to their HEA! This is another fantastic book by Ms. Liasson, a perfect escape from the craziness of everyday life! I received an ARC from Forever and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Coming Home to Seashell Harbor is a great read! Through the heroine and hero choices and options are explored. “Home is where the Heart is” describes the differing journeys taken as well as the realization of what brings true happiness doing what engages natural strengths and talents when people slow down from their frantic, busy climb to reach a perceived goal to see what has been a major intrinsic part of them. This “return to first love” is a winner!

I can’t say enough good things about this book! It was everything I needed in one. A summery romance read that takes place by a beach... it really doesn’t get any better than that

This is such a sweet second chance romance! When Hadley's famous actor boyfriend dumps her for his co-star, she heads back to her hometown, a small town on the beach where she's sure she'll be free from publicity and complications with men. But her high school ex, Cam, has also returned home after an injury ended his NFL career (Hadley clearly attracts successful men!) and when he wants to buy her grandmother's building, the two face off and sparks fly.

I grew up going to the Jersey Shore every summer and now take my kids there so I loved the location of this book. Liasson does a wonderful job of painting a picture of the Victorian beach town and its inhabitants so you feel like you're there. The romance between Hadley and Cam is a slow burn but it feels earned and did I mention there's lots of talk about cute dogs and delicious Italian food? What else could you ask for? If you're looking for a light summer read, this is the book for you!

Thanks to Forever and NetGalley for a copy to review.

This is the ultimate small town romance read!

You know those books that just make you feel good inside? they're just so sweet and relaxing to read at the end of the day and they make you feel all squishy with love and hope. This book does just that, the perfect medicine for any bad day. It's sunshine in a book that will no doubt put a smile on your face! And that's the best kind of medicine if you ask me.

This is going to be a series! Kit and Alex are up next but I'd love to read about Darla and Nick!

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the earc in return for an honest review.

“All she knew was that things between them had just gotten a whole lot more complicated”

This was such a cute small town read. I loved the relationship that these two had. I thought that they had just enough of a history to help guide their future. I also felt like we were really set up for some sequels to hear more of the rest of this crew’s stories. An easy breezy summer read that made you want to pick up and move to the coast (whatever coast is closest).

Miranda Liasson is an auto-buy author for me. Her well-developed characters always feel like friends and her stories are filled with humor and heart. Add an abundance of less-than-perfect rescue dogs (you know I adore them), a matchmaking grandmother, delicious family recipes (I cannot resist Italian food), life-long girlfriends, and a second chance with a first love, and I am sold on Liasson's newest, Coming Home to Seashell Harbor. Did I mention the trope? Young sweethearts to enemies to friends to lovers? Yes, please!

As someone who grew up in a small town, left after graduation, and didn't return for several years, I know both how hard it is to come back home and also how easy it can be to fall into the patterns of one's youth when you do. Hadley and Tony (a/k/a Cam) are both at crossroads in their lives. Returning to Seashell Harbor at the same time puts them at odds while at the same time reminding them of the closeness they once shared, in a high school relationship that did not end well. And one that, much to their surprise, neither has quite put behind them. I think Liasson does a great job of showing the push and pull between them as they each grapple with where they go from here, both individually and as a couple. I found their relationship - and the obstacles they face, both emotional and professional - to be very realistic and relatable. I was invested in these two from the get-go and remained so throughout their journey.

Liasson has assembled a wonderful secondary cast of characters who add depth, complexity, rich emotion, and humor to the story, as well as glimpses into future romantic journeys in this series. There are already several I'm eager to learn more about. I love the friendship among Hadley and her two best childhood friends. Their banter, honesty with, and unwavering support of one another speaks to a lifelong foundation of friendship and trust. Cam and his siblings, raised by a single father, have an interesting dynamic that I really enjoyed, especially the evolving relationship between Cam and his dad. I'm hoping to see more of all of them in future books. Then there's the relationship between Hadley and her gran, which spoke to me on so many levels and reminded me of the one I shared with my own grandmother. So many feels in this story.

If you're looking for an engaging, feel-good, contemporary romance for your summer reading, take a trip to the beach with Miranda Liasson's Coming Home to Seashell Harbor.

Another 5 Star beginning to a new series.

Miranda Liasson has a talent for creating characters and situations that are both believable and entertaining. I love second chance stories with small town settings. This first book in her new series doesn’t disappoint.

Hadley has returned home for an extended stay, at the ‘suggestion’ of the public relations firm who employed her, following a highly publicized breakup with an A-list actor only to find that her high school sweetheart, Tony (Cam) Cammareri, is back in town, his NFL career ended by a serious injury.

Hadley was left with a broken heart after Cam ended their relationship by leaving her a message on a Post-it note. He was leaving town to play college football and thought it best to break up with her before she broke up with him.

After college Cam was drafted by the NFL and was living his dream of playing professional football until a serious injury ended his career. Now he must decide what to do going forward.

Hadley went to college, graduated with honors and had a successful career in public relations in Hollywood until the breakup that was sensationalized in the tabloids. She returns to Seashell Harbor to heal and to help her grandmother who had fallen and broken her hip.

Gran has a plan! She has always liked Cam and her intuition tells her that Hadley and Cam still have feelings for each other. She arranges for them to work together on a project knowing that neither one of them will be able to refuse her request. One thing leads to another and...well you will have to read the book to find out what happens.

Coming Home to Seashell Harbor was a delightful read. I look forward to the next book in this series.

This author is absolutely wonderful! I really enjoy her small town stories with nosey knowing towns people and romances that kindle into forever love! Hadley and Tony are a second chance romance with a side of enemies when they both return to the town they grew up in wanting Hadley’s grandmothers shop! I loved getting to know not only our main characters but Hadley’s friends and people around the town! It just gives you all the cozy sweet vibes. Tony was a pro football player but he’s injured and won’t be continuing so he wants to build a restaurant chain. Hadley just won’t have that! These two have great banter with chemistry as well! I loved watching these two come together again with the side of cute dogs!! Love this. All in all a great slow burn romance that’s just a sweet read til the end! I can’t wait to read the next in this series!

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
I really enjoyed this book. It contains many tropes which I gravitate towards, although at times I felt maybe too many, as the story became ever more involved with almost bluff and double bluff feel to the outcomes of certain plans and plots. The underlying story between Hadley and Tony was fun and sweet and undoubtedly destined for success, but getting there was certainly complicated!

Tony is a retired-too-soon-injured NFL player come home with plans to set up a restaurant chain and capitalise on his name. Whilst he has a love of cooking instilled by his Italian family, it is to provide his sister with an opportunity that he wants this to be his future. That his first love, Hadley, is now back in town and has an interest in the site he has earmarked for his new project is beyond annoying.

Hadley is keen to escape the media after a bad break-up with a movie star, so when her grandma needs help after a fall, she is delighted of the excuse to go home. Not so delighted to find Tony is in town and wants to buy her gran's pooch parlour shop.

Cue an adventure with plenty of cute, and not so cute, dogs, good food, reservations about the future, and a very meddling granny!

3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars

This second-chance romance is filled with anger and misunderstandings that take a while to resolve but makes the book so much better. Both Cam and Hadley have been hurt publicly but in different ways. Cam's career-ending injury has forced him back home to reevaluate his life and priorities. Hadley's love affair with an A-list movie star was torn apart when he publicly began dating his co-star and left her in the dust. With the paparazzi never letting up and unable to do her job as a PR whiz, she had no choice but to return home to lick her wounds in private.

Neither Hadley or Cam expected to find each other in Seashell Harbor nor fighting over the building her grandmother owned. Unable to deal with the way Cam had left her so many years ago, Hadley confronted him about everything from the sticky note to how he was dog-sitting her grandmother's dog. Cam knew what he did was wrong, but Hadley, then and now, deserved so much better than him.

This book allowed the characters to resolve their past hurts and to learn how each of them had grown during their years apart. Each are stubborn in their own way but in the end, love conquers all.
