I got an advanced copy of this from NetGalley in exchange for a review. Thanks, NetGalley!

Olivia is a class salutatorian and an accomplished AP student, her future career planned out. So when she learns, just the week before graduation, that she failed her off-campus PE class and is at risk of not graduating, she panics. With the help of the Fab Four (her cousins/friends Sophie, Wes, and Charlie), she works at a local golf tournament with her Coach/teacher, trading phones with the Fab Four as they help her put appearances at a lot of parties (so her Mom doesn't find out). She also might be falling for a family friend/golfer in the tournament, Leo.

I will start off by saying I was a fan of the prior book, so that's one of the reasons I picked up this one. The other was that the summary was interesting. This, I feel, readers can read without having read the prior book, but it WILL make you want to read the prior book, as there's a dash of references to it in this one.

Man, I wish my week before graduating high school was like this...party after party. The author did a good job at switching points of view and having us understand Olivia's struggle with trying to complete her last credit for graduation.

There wasn't really anything about the book I didn't like. But it did leave me wondering...will the Evil Joes and the Fab Four EVER get along? Will there be another "Messina Family" book in the mix?

This is a budding romance, family-centered, addictive series, one I will definitely be getting the next book of (if there is a third).

This was a fun, quick read and it was easy to root for the main character Olivia! Perfect flashback to high school days. Thank you, NetGalley for the ARC!

This was an adorable and quick YA read. It was so easy to connect with the main character Olivia as she is ending her senior year. The bonds with her family and friends are very sweet. A lot of the plot is impractical but does make for a fun story.

10 Truths and a Dare by Ashley Elston was enjoyable, fairly unique in terms of a YA romance and a fair amount of character development involved with the pacing of the plot.

I had the best intentions to finish this but I just can't get myself to care about it. I loved 10 Blind Dates and thought it was so cute and charming and fun. I was excited for this companion to see more of the crazy family and the friend squad that made the first so great. But I couldn't get past the idea that a top one or two student in the entire class wouldn't try at all even for gym class. And then that the school wouldn't honor the class and make a student track down a former teacher without any alternative to graduate. It didn't feel realistic enough to me at all. And then, her mother was just a mess. I understand being nervous about leaving your kid for the first time and I understand wanting to know where they are. But even for me, stalking your kid all day every day is way over the top. I do believe there are parents like this out there but it's very frustrating reading about it. But at the same time, the kid is constantly lying to them. I don't know. This one just didn't work for me.

10 Truths and a Dare is a pretty lighthearted read that I think many young adult and even middle-grade fans would enjoy. The story is fast-paced, but the plot is easy to follow along and the many obstacles the main character faces throughout the story makes it really engaging.

This was a good YA novel that I enjoyed reading! And I loved the last chapter of it. I would definitely recommend it!

I received an e-ARC from the publisher.

Such a fun read with an amazing plot. Normally I have a hit or miss with these kind of reads, but I actually really enjoyed this story and the characters

It's time to return to the Fab Four and their crazy and huge family. Now it's time to follow Olivia, the salutatorian, who may not graduate on time. Only her friends and family can help her get to graduation. I love this family and their close bonds with each other. This edition moves away from the inter-workings of the family and shares more about the bonds of cousins. Olivia needs her family to help her get through her situation. The interactions between all four are fabulous and hilarious. Especially when the male characters have to pose as Olivia. I constantly laughed out loud. Elston allowed the reader to see a different side of the evil twins enough to wonder how perspectives can change. The plot is fast-paced and filled with hurdles that require over-the-top fixes. The only con I had is with romantic relationships. I wish there could have been a little more depth and content with them. It could have added to the conclusion.

Dnf’ed. I didn’t realize this book was part of a series. Tried reading it but the characters seemed to have already been built and I couldn’t follow at all.

Thank you Disney-Hyperion for this eARC via netgalley.

Olivia is in danger of losing her spot as salutatorian and even more, not being able to graduate with her class. When Olivia’s off campus PE credit hours are not at the required criteria, Olivia realizes that she made a major mistake. Olivia is given another chance to get her hours in at the upcoming golf tournament that is about to begin. Olivia must face many obstacles as she does her best to not reveal her mistake to her family and friends.

This book follows the same close-knit family from 10 Blind Dates. This book picks up Olivia's story as she goes through graduation celebration with those around her. Olivia is told at the beginning of this book that she does not qualify for graduation due to her off-campus PE form not being signed. Olivia is shocked to hear of this and quickly scrambles to find her golf coach so that he may sign her form. When her coach tells her he will not sign her form due to her lack of completion of the course, she is stunned. Olivia begs for an alternative and she is told that she can make up the hours through volunteer work.

Olivia felt fairly different to me from her introduction in Sophie’s book to her own. I have to say that I did not care for her as much in this book unfortunately. Despite all of her talking up a big game, Olivia struggles to show maturity at times. Olivia never really accepts true responsibility for her actions in my opinion. She constantly wanted to hide the truth from others as well as herself. Overall, this character felt pretty selfish and irresponsible most of the time. I really hated how she chose to inconvenience her friends for so much of the book, as well as continuously show up late, complain, and try to skip out at times on the second chance she was so graciously given.

I did think the romance was okay. I wish it wouldn’t have been so rushed though. I still feel like I barely know Leo after reading this book. It was fantastic to be back with Olivia’s family and friends though. I really like the family community that this author has built with this series.

Overall, the book was okay and the main character was pretty annoying as well as ridiculous most of the time.

Thank you @NetGalley for this ARC. This was a fast read, but not my favorite from those I read this summer. I struggled connecting with the main character, Olivia, as I felt she was whiny and only cared about herself vs anyone around her.

I hadn't read 10 Blind Dates prior to reading this book and I think that would have helped me enjoy it. It was a cute story and enjoyable enough. The family dynamics were fun to read about and the romance was lovey-dovey. It is a fun contemporary book and a great summer read.

As someone who genuinely enjoyed Elston's '10 Blind Dates', I found this book to be simultaneously both enjoyable, as well as vaguely disappointing.

'10 Truths and a Dare' follows Olivia (a cousin of the main character from '10 Blind Dates'), and all the chaos to come when she finds out that she's missing a credit for completing PE the week before graduation, putting her position as valedictorian in jeopardy. She knows that if her parents find out, they'll never trust her again, so she recruits her cousins and friend to cover for her at graduation parties, while she completes the hours needed to earn the credit. But things seem to go wrong from the very beginning, and it's only a matter of time until everyone finds out.

Just like with '10 Blind Dates', I absolutely loved reading about Olivia and the family dynamic that she has going with her cousins and other extended family. It was so adorable and wholesome to read about, and seeing as to how many of the characters have already been established, it didn't feel too info-dump-y either.

That being said, the plot was a little dry at times. Yes, it was enjoyable, and yes, it was fairly unique to other YA books that I've read. There was a fair amount of character development involved with the pacing of the plot itself, but at the same time, it seemed a little repetitive, especially in the middle.

The romance was... not as developed as I was hoping it would be. I kind of felt that it had sprung up out of nowhere, and there wasn't enough direct interaction between the characters for the romantic subplot to be given the importance that it was in the book. There simply wasn't enough of it, I suppose, which made it feel a tad rushed.

Overall, this book is a fairly quick read, and I would probably recommend it for the familial dynamic rather than the romantic one. The plot has its ups and downs, but it's enjoyable and fairly satisfying. Apart from that, if Ashley Elston ever decided to write a book about Charlie or the Evil Joes, or both, I would definitely, 100% read it.

I really enjoyed this story and following the loud, boisterous family in this fun, enjoyable read. The family was a loving family and it was nice to read about their family dynamics and how close the family members are to one another. Olivia was a likeable, relatable character and was a joy to read about. I didn't realize this book comes after 10 Blind Dates but now I want to go back and read that book as well. A good, fun read that I recommend.

Note: I received a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is such a great concept and reads really well. I requested a physical copy and am hoping to nominate it to the YALSA Quick Picks for Reluctant Readers list.

10 Truths and a Dare follows Olivia as she tries to finish up the last credit she needs to graduate high school. She is a very focused student and is the one kid in her large extended family who always seems to have it all together. But this time this one class slipped through the class because of what she was trying to do. She must get the last hours needed and still find a way to go to all the graduating senior parties all without her family knowing, to do that she'll need some help from Wes, Charlie, and Sophie. The one hitch in this is that her entire family is extremely nosy, and the fact that her mom has a tracker on her phone because her parents are out of town for work for the week and want to make sure she is safe.

10 Truths and a Dare like 10 Blind Dates is full of humor, drama, and big family drama as well.

Overall I really liked this one and I actually enjoyed it more than 10 Blind Dates. The premise of this one I liked more and Olivia as a character is a good one. We first got to meet her in 10 Blind Dates and I liked her as Sophie's cousin/best friend and she was my favorite character besides the grandma in that book. Olivia was able to find a way to make it work kind of. Was it high stress to be in one place and have her cousin and friend being her to trick her mom, yes yes it was. But it worked and I get her reasoning for it. I also liked the ending and how she dealt with what happened and was able to tell her family and had that support that is needed.

I hope that Elston makes another companion to this one and we keep getting to see this family because I do love them.
