When going through a storm, you need books like this to get you through, for hope and wisdom, even when there's no one else to talk to.

Loved the short, powerful and punchy chapters!

My three biggest takeaways.

Hang on to God. Let go. Detach from the outcome. This is true freedom. Yet it is so hard to do. It works. Trust the process. Trust God. Let God work in us.

Life involves much waiting. While we wait our job is to not lose hope, avoid worry and ask, what can I learn from this. While we wait we must take action on the things we can control and let go of the things we cannot.

I love this quote. “The way God works is more like a Crock-Pot than an Easy-Bake Oven or a microwave. But the product tastes so much better when it’s finished.” Slow and steady gets the job done! Trust God.

Hang On Let Go
By Frank Viola

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

This is a book that I have found myself taking my time with and really taking in and hoping to remember passages from it.

So much so that I have highlighted and save many on my Kindle on which I read it.

People in despair, going through grief, struggling with things in there life may really benefit from reading this book.

It gives insights and reflections that help to understand and may help you to navigate through some of what you are going through.

At first I didn’t realise there are some passages from the bible and the author is a true believer in God.

I wasn’t sure how I felt about this, once I realised, as I hadn’t chose to read the book because of this.

But, I loved the authors take on things and continued and read all.

I would recommend this book.

Structurally, this is like those "read a devotional a day" books, only these devotionals connect to each others more clearly than in many books and are a bit longer than in the typical devo book format. Very helpful and well-written, a clever take on the genre.
