Another wonderful Amish cookbook but this time with healthy recipes. Wow! So many great choices. Definitely a great addition to any collection.

So many recipes that look easy to make and so yummy to eat. The quality of this cookbook is expectional. It has a nice setup that is easy to navigate and is sectioned out to be able to easily and quickly find the type of recipe you are needing. Whether it's breakfast, dinner, or dessert. I, especially, like the "Homemade Remedies" section.

The recipes in this cookbook are excellent. We now have several of them that are on our “favorites” list. These will be crowd pleasers for your family, and excellent to take to community dinners and get togethers. I’m glad to have this one on my shelf.

This cookbook is very well made and easy to use. I love that it is a spiral book that you can flip through the pages easily. The pictures that accompany recipes are vivid and make you want to run to the kitchen to start cooking. It is nice to have a cookbook that is a healthy option which includes scriptures.

I am making the Southwest Skillet Supreme for dinner tonight which you can find on page 85. The recipes are easy to follow and most of the items needed are probably on hand in your pantry. Each recipe includes who contributed to the book and their easy instructions.

If you are looking for simple and healthy recipes this cookbook is for you. With over two hundred recipes you are sure to find many you will want to try out. It was hard to decide what to cook first so I went to the main dishes first. I am a terrible cook, but with easy and simple ingredients and instructions I was able to make several home cooked meals. I recommend this to all those who love to cook and looking for a healthier choice in cooking.

As this was only a sample of the cookbook, I cannot speak of all the recipes contained therein. However, the ones I could read were quite fascinating. I'll definitely have to try some of these out!

Perhaps the most interesting aspect to me was the beginning, where the different health benefits were discussed. I mean I knew Fruits and Veggies were good for you, but Wow! At first I was wondering why there wasn't recipes as soon as you started the book, but as I started reading all the different facts about how helpful the different vegetation was, I was completely engrossed in the information and it became my favorite part!

This cookbook was truly wonderful, and I highly recommend you check it out!

I have read and reviewed Barbour Publishing's Amish Friends Healthy Options Cookbook by Wanda E, Brunstetter. I am a great fan of cookbooks and have actually published one myself. I’m always on the lookout for a new recipe to try.

The offerings in this cookbook, however delicious looking, used too many different and surprising ingredients for my use in my kitchen. This would be a great cookbook for someone with different dietetic needs. I was impressed that each recipe had notations for which diets (non-dairy, gluten-free, vegan, etc.) the recipe was for. I was not acquainted with a lot of the ingredients nor knew where I could find them except at a health foods store. At my age (70+), I am comfortable with my own tried and true recipes. Thanks to Ms. Brunstetter for going the extra mile for those in need of these kinds of recipes.

loved the recipes in the Amish friends healthy option cookbook. Easy to understand recipes and this sampler gives your a variety of recipes that are in the book.

I absolutely love this little cookbook. There aren't a lot of recipes in it but it is a goldmine for someone who is trying to eat a special diet. These recipes are sugar free, gluten free, dairy free etc. I especially liked the breakfast sausage balls. But besides the recipes, Wanda Brunstetter gives a lot of practical advice about natural supplements and weight control. These recipes are favorites from her Amish and Mennonite friends.

I highly recommend this book.

Wanda and her Amish friends have done it again! This cookbook celebrates the wealth of healthy eating options available to you when you start with fresh produce. I was tickled pink to find that one recipe I remember making when I was a teenager, Stuffed Cabbage Rolls, is actually considered a healthy recipe. I remember it as simply being good eating.

I received a sample of this cookbook from netgalley and am looking forward to reading the complete cookbook when it is released!

Not only do these recipes focus on using whole and super-foods, requiring little to no processed ingredients, but they are incredibly sensitive to the allergies and dietary needs of many individuals. I also really enjoyed the beautifully styled Bible verses between recipes.

I really enjoyed many of the recipes in this book and definitely plan to make a couple of them for my family. I like the information at the beginning that gives insight as to different herbs and foods to eat along with their benefits. I do wish there had been more recipes in the book but overall, the book is very informative and can’t wait to take advantage of some of the recipes!

This is only a sample of the cookbook. I can’t wait to see what the full version has in it and I saw a lot of yummy recipes that I can’t wait to try. They look easy and healthy also.

This book has some pleasantly pleasing recipes. I was happy to see some vegetarian options as well. I will look for the full volume when it publishes as this was just a sample. I plan on utilizing the brown bread recipe!

Loved this sample of Wanda Brunstetter's new "healthy options cookbook" and I'm very excited to read the completed one. As a healthy eater, I am excited to try these healthy option recipes. The recipes use alternative ingredients, like almond milk, coconut sugar, whole wheat flour and others.

I have always enjoyed Wanda's cookbooks, and this sample was no exception. I love how easy the recipes are - anyone with basic cooking skills could make them. The pictures were delicious looking! I can't wait to read the entire cookbook!
