I know this just got published but I need to know what happens next!

I could relate to Hannah's relationships with her parents and the self-doubt her childhood gave her. I felt like she could be a friend that needs a serious pep talk and a reminder of how awesome she is. Walking around Paris with these characters made me so happy and I hope to one day visit in person and re-trace their steps. I may even book a train ticket!

This. book had a lot more depth than I thought it would for a romance which I truly enjoyed! Hannah is super relatable with her anxiety, insecurity, and indecisiveness. She is 30 years old and has been hurt in the past. She is a bit cynical but her bad luck turns into something great! She learns who she is and just what she's capable of. After meeting Leo she follows her passion and takes a photography course. Leo is so likeable. He is honest and encouraging, also working through some pain of the past. Both he and Hannah deserve love. I found myself not wanting the train ride to end because it meant an ending of Leo and Hannah but what develops is a slow, steady, healthy, and deeper connection. Si is unlikeable from the beginning. He treats Hannah like a child. I was totally invested in this story very early on. I loved it!

I liked how as I was reading this book I learned a lot about Paris. I feel the author nailed the characters accents and speech of how French people speak and could picture the accents in my mind. I also liked how this book was not filled with sex. It was a breathe of fresh air. I also liked the ending of this book as I thought it was really cute. I just wished there was more action as I felt at times it was kind of slow.

This book was amazing. Not only were the characters and the plot great, but the setting of Paris was absolutely gorgeous and fun. The level of writing mastery the author shows is incredible. This is possibly the slowest slow burn romance I've ever read, and it was just perfect.
I felt like I was on the back of Leo's motorbike touring Paris and it was a lovely little literary vacation.
Hannah's character is fleshed out well. She has appropriate flashbacks that show us why she is the way she is and it's delightful to see her growth by the end of the book.
I loved this book so much I read it all in one day.
This is one heck of a debut. Will be looking forward to reading more by Lorraine Brown.

Hannah and her boyfriend Si get separated during a train uncoupling and Hannah ends up in Paris with no luggage, no money and no phone. Leo, a fellow traveler offers to show Hannah around Paris and takes her to share so many experiences.

Hannah’s character was a bit dependent and negative she often came across as ungrateful. While I enjoyed the scenery, the photography bits and Leo, I never really felt the connection between Hannah and Leo completely.

I will say that I did love how opening her eyes to new things helped her realize some things about herself.

This wasn’t really a romance in my opinion. More a finding yourself and opening yourself up to new ways of thinking with a bit of potential romance in the mix.

All in all it was a cute, fast paced read and Paris itself was my favorite character of them all.

But one day is all it takes for Hannah to realize that if the day with Leo feels so right, she doesn’t want to be wrong and miss out on true love. A cute fast read, and this novel seems like a setup for a future follow-up story. THE PARIS CONNECTION had a great premise- Hannah and her boyfriend Simon (Si) are accidentally separated on their train trip to Amsterdam while they’re dozing on the train; she ends up in Paris, he heads to their destination, and Hannah meets a handsome stranger and starts questioning what she knows about love and life and Si.

Unfortunately, this one didn’t fully land for me. The plot was a bit hard to believe and predictable, and Hannah came off as naive and a bit hard to like. I didn’t really feel the connection between Hannah and Leo, and aspects of Hannah and Si’s relationship seemed to morph conveniently throughout the story to allow for easy plot.

Overall, this was an easy, fun read, but it wasn’t my favorite. Would recommend to Paris lovers, though, as the descriptions of the sights and the city were really enjoyable.

An absolute delight of a story, about the way life sometimes presents us with a surprising new fork in the road which we would never had chosen. The vacation of a young couple is thrust into a disarray when they are accidentally going into different directions during a train ride. And then the female protagonist meets a Frenchman... Loved this story!

I wanted so much to love this book but sadly this wasn’t a hit for me. I don’t like how Hannah is portrayed. She’s so naive and aloof. She was a hard character to enjoy when she was a complete mess. She puts people in a higher regard that treat her poorly, thrives on others to rescue her, and is surprised at herself when she’s able to do the tiniest thing without help. I do enjoy a book with fun misfortunate mishaps, Hannah felt more like a punchline to a poorly throughout joke that was meant to be laughed at instead of alongside.

I’ve read a lot of enemies-to-more books where the hate is strong in the beginning, but what offset them is that the characters' chemistry is amazing. You can instantly feel there’s a blurred line between their dislike and love. With these characters, I didn’t feel any of that instant connection in the beginning. I wished for a bit more chemistry.

The writing is really good. Her scene descriptions put you right there alongside Hannah getting lost in one of the lost beautiful cities in the world. I did like feeling like I was in the pages of the book rather than just an observer.

Overall this book wasn’t for me. It was missing key elements that would have made this book more enjoyable. Thank you to NetGalley and G.P. Putnam's Sons for this ARC

The Paris Connection is a cute, easy to read romcom about a girl, Hannah, who gets separated from her boyfriend, Simon, when the train they are on splits for two different cities in the middle of the night. Hannah is supposed to be in Amsterdam for Simon's sisters wedding and instead wakes up in Paris without her luggage, phone, or boarding pass. To make matters more exciting she's also there with Leo, a brooding Frenchman who blames Hannah for this mishap.

This novel is still in the editing stage and that is noted at the beginning of the story. I did notice some misspelled words or areas with extra random letters. This didn't take away from the story at all, just noting that.

There was much to like about this book. The first is, there was no filler at the beginning. It jumped right to the main plot which I appreciate. Although, some parts of the story were a tad predictable, it was still thoroughly fun to read.

Throughout the story I found myself rooting for Hannah because she was learning so much about herself. Her character development was spot on. Leo is a great character and the gorgeous descriptions of Paris have my longing to travel there at an all time high.

From the beginning I was not a fan of Simon. I think the author painted a great picture of Simon and Hannahs relationship that was clearly close to over. I was ready for him to be thrown to the curve.

I'm looking forward to the publication of this novel. I think I'll read it again to see the final edits!

I liked this book a lot. I enjoyed Hannah’s character development from start to finish, and Leo was just dreamy. Hannah started the book insecure in everything, and she ended the book much more secure in herself and her life. She compared herself to others a lot at the beginning of the book, and I loved that she grew out of that by the end. I thought her growth towards independence was very organic and natural.

I will, though, one reason I rated this book three stars is it isn’t really all that memorable. The main characters are kind of generic/basic, and while I identified with Hannah a lot, the book itself did not leave the impression on me that other contemporary romance novels have.

Hannah and her boyfriend are onboard a train headed to a wedding in Amsterdam. In the middle of the night, Hannah moves to a different car in order to escape her loud neighbors. Little did she know, the train splits into two different routes; one going to Paris, the other to her intended destination.

This cute, feel-good story follows Hannah and a mysterious Parisian, Leo, as they navigate through Paris on their layover. In the city of love, anything can happen! I really enjoyed the character growth in Hannah, going from highly dependent on her boyfriend to a strong, independent woman chasing after her dreams. The friendship between Hannah and Leo was very sweet, eventually leading to developing feelings as they got to know each other.

I really enjoyed this story, especially the growth of the main character as she spends the day in Paris with a complete stranger who she begins to fall for. In the process, she learns so much about herself and her current relationship. If you love Paris and books with a Paris setting, that is a bonus! Fun read!

I was drawn into the description and the photo on the book but I was not as satisfied with the actual book contents. The characters were fairly one-dimensional and the dialogue didn't flow very well. There were also many contradictions that didn't make sense-- the main character Hannah enjoyed busy London but her boyfriend Si was very protective of her and didn't think she could handle Paris (nor did she either aft first)? She also strikes up a friendship with a random stranger who then takes her around, pays for all her food, finds a friend to loan her clothes, etc. I did enjoy the aspects of Paris and Hannah's exploration around the city.

I was excited to read this because it seemed like a super fun premise, but it was a real swing and a miss for me. The plot is predictable, the characters are super one dimensional, the dialogue is weak, it feels like a sketched story without any infusion of life. Hannah falls into the clumsy, self-conscious, self-doubting, daddy issue, oblivious mold we’ve seen before, but in a way that leaves her with almost no sympathetic qualities. Her boyfriend is so clearly trash that it’s hard to find their relationship at all believable. Leo is cute, but we get so little from him. I almost DNF’d this one (it took me a month to read!) but pushed through mainly because it is a love letter to Paris, which has a special place in my heart.

This book was great! I have not heard much about it before reading it, but would definitely recommend it to a friend. It was a travel escape in a time I am unable to. Thank you for the early chance to read!

In need of a light rom-com novel about a naive twenty-something dealing with travel nightmares (lost wallet/passport/tickets + luggage)? Then this might be the book for you. I have to admit I couldn't make myself finish the book - I gave up after the main character was stranded in Paris. It wasn't a bad story but seemed as if I'd already read it or a very similar book. Most likely it's intended audience is for females decades younger than me so don't count it out based on my review.
