Thank you to Net Galley UK and Avon books for this ARC.

Ruby has given up on love. She wants to experience the stuff of romatic fiction but instead has a habit of dating losers. Heading off to London on a train - I won't spoil it by telling you why! - a handsome stranger sits next to Ruby and explains his plan to propose to the woman of his dreams. A full-on romantic proposal which leaves Ruby feeling that maybe true love does exist.

Finding that the stranger has left his engagement ring on the train, Ruby and a fellow passenger, Curtis, embark on a quest to return the ring.

The characters in this book are well-developed and mainly likeable. This is the perfect, engaging summer read and full of the feel-good factor.

Another brilliant book by Bella. Loved the story that followed Ruby and Kim. Lots of little twists and full of romance. Curtis certainly was a unique character. Trying not to give away any spoilers. Can’t wait for the next one!

I can not even begin to tell you how good this book is, absolutely brilliant. Ruby ever romantic loser in love goes to London to find a sperm doner (lonely after losing her mother and sick of dodgy boyfriends it seems the best plan). On the train she meets Lewis about to propose to his girlfriend on the London Eye, a mix up occurs and Ruby ends up with the ring. Also on the train is Curtis a straight laced loner who somehow decides to help Ruby. A brilliant story follows with laughter, sadness and drama. Totally kept me enthralled throughout. Loved it.

This book was sent to me on Kindle by Netgalley. It is a different read...one might say quirky. The protagonist is likeable...she is always into something...her life is not boring...the other characters...most are likeable with a couple of exceptions...no one dangerous just not trustworthy. The outcome is not surprising, but to get there, one must read about so many twists and turns in the protagonist’s life. This is a light, quick read. Enjoy

This madcap romance will keep you entertained! Bella Osbourne delivers an hilarious relationship between Ruby and Curtis, a convoluted story line involving a lost engagement ring and attempts to find the owner, and a surprising romance. A great summer read!

This one pulled me in and I couldn't put it down. Characters were different and relatable. I enjoyed the interwoven stories. A fast, good weekend or beach read.

An easy to read holiday book with a touch of humour. and romance even if some of the plot is a little farfetched at times, but then that is what makes the book entertaining. Told from the viewpoint of two of the main characters, Kim who runs a florists and her assistant Ruby both in search for love. Somewhat predictable as before these two characters work out what is happening, the reader can easily deduce the outcome but due to the usual inopportune interruptions and misunderstandings Kim and Ruby don't. However, I did find Ruby somewhat immature and at times irritating for a mid-30s singleton, she seemed quite naïve and more like a giddy teenager but she does appear to mature as the book progresses.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this book. After reading part one, I was eager to find out what would happen to all of the characters that we met.

I fell in love with Ruby for her big heart and wanting to help and see the best in others. I enjoyed reading how her relationship with Curtis developed and her sharing a piece of her with him.

Kim had a turbulent time in the story but eventually, does she find her happy ending?

A perfect book full of fun, light-hearted read. Characters that you will fall in love with and want to keep reading on.

This book was the most hilarious, endearing & feel-good summer read. Everyone is bound to have a blast with this one.

It was effortlessly hilarious, with the most delightful & amusing dialogue. The humour was so well-done & never felt forced & definitely cracked me up more than a few times. The characters were also very vivid & 3D.

I absolutely loved Ruby. She is young at heart & so optimistic. It was such a delight to read from her perspective because she was always genuine, kind & was never afraid to speak her mind. I loved how easily she made conversation with everybody & never thought twice about helping people out. Despite being robotic & deadpan some of the time, Curtis was actually very swoon-worthy & was very attentive towards Ruby.

The two leads, Ruby & Curtis are the opposite ends of the eccentric spectrum.

The interactions between Ruby, someone who is so sensitive to her surroundings & has high social intelligence paired with someone like Curtis, who according to Ruby's own words "...knows nothing about life or people." were gold. Ruby made all their outings SO MUCH FUN. Their adventures were so charged with contagious energy & happiness that I found myself grinning all the time.

Overall, this was such a needed breath of fresh summery air. It's one of those invigorating reads that has such an amazing emotional pay-off at the end.

This book is one of my favourite reads of 2021 so far it is a hilarious and uplifting read which is also quite heartbreaking and poignant at the same time. Once I had started reading it I couldn’t put it down and it had me in tears one minute and laughing the next it was such a perfect escapism read for the current times. I loved that the characters were very life like and relatable and that the reader was soon drawn into their lives. I found myself rooting for Curtis and ruby to find happiness and also for Kim to be happy. The lives of these three main characters were all intertwined and brought together to make the perfect Romantic read which also covered a lot of other themes like friendship love and loss at the same time. The author has such a beautiful way with words and the right mix of humour and romance mixed in with real life issues. This is the first book I have read by This author but won’t be my last.

At first, I would like to thank Netgalley and Avonbooksuk for allowing me to review this book. Keep in mind that my review, however, is my true opinion on this book.

I had no idea what to expect from “The Promise of Summer”, but it is definitely a good read! Bella Osborne wrote this book very beautifully.

The Promise of Summer was originally published in four parts. This summer it is released as one whole piece.

Ruby is on the train, where she meets a man who is about to propose to his girlfriend. But the man somehow gets off at the grong station with Rubys phone. And the proposal ring is at the train with Ruby. A fellow passenger, Curtis, decides to go with Ruby to London to find the man and deliver him his lost ring. At first, Ruby is very annoyed with him, but when they get to spend more time together, things might change between them. This will for sure be a summer that Ruby will never forget!

I loved this book from the first page! And it is a true page-turner!

I love the character of Ruby. She seems very polite and delightful. She is loveable, and her spirit is sweet. She has a fun-loving character, and I am very happy that Bella Osborne has spent a lot of time describing her in this book. Also, Curtis is just as nice a character as Ruby. The chemistry between these two characters is lovely, and their interaction is very interesting as well.

This is a lovely feel-good book by Bella Osborne. This should definitely be the read of your summer this year!

A book of summer. A book of love. A book of promises.

A really enjoyable book, i have always loved the stories that Bella writes and this one is brilliant, a few twists and turns keeping you guessing all the way though till the very end. I hope at some point in the future we can revisit and find out what happens once the story ends.

This book is hilarious and heartwarming with exceptional characters and storyline. An absolute must read if you want to laugh out loud and be left with a smile on your face and your heart feeling full.

The author has created loveable and realistic characters who any reader could associate with on some level. The fun begins in the first chapter and the author ensures that the book maintains its humour with a touch of heart ache to keep it balanced to the last page. I’m not one to laugh out loud when reading a book but this one had me giggling and laughing numerous times. This is a book I will return to whenever I need to smile and feel good.

I won’t give away any details, but this book is about a woman desperate to find love in some form and the unexpected friendship she develops with a stranger. You need to read this book to see how her story and those of her friend evolve.

Many thanks to Avon Books Uk and NetGalley for allowing g me to read the ARC of this wonderful book.
