- dense yet accessible
- super complex topics and theories that the author explains in a way that will make sense to a wide range of readers
- talks about the beginning of the neural network model and how “interpretability was sacrificed for ability”, balance between complexity and capability
- the beginning of artificial intelligence
- the sections are somewhat long but still able to read a section in one sitting which was good
- super interesting to see how these fields intertwine

This book, along with another new book that I have just read, Overloaded, is a tour-de-force about how our brain works but its readership will be very limited because few want to read about this subject. For those who are interested in brain science, this book gets five stars but for everyone else, it rates only one star so the average score for Models of the Mind gets three stars.
