Shelby is a hardworking woman that runs a famous blog site, she posts recipes and the occasional review. She is the co-owner of a restaurant and is in the works of getting her own food network tv show. This girl is the real MVP.

She gets an exciting assignment from the network, she has to go to a winery and prepare dishes that will compliment the wines. The problem is, the winery is owned by Zach, a guy she went on a blind date with, that turned out terribly bad.

So lets talk a bout Zach, this guy…. Wow. He is petulant and childish, only because some food critic left him a bad review some ages ago he HATES all critics, that’s why he’s intentionally being mean and a bully towards Shelby. Not only that, he devises a plan to get her to like him so she can post about the winery and increase sales.

As the story goes, she starts to fall for him (how? Idk it’s honestly a freaking mystery to me) He had plenty of opportunities to explain his situation and come clean, but he didn’t.

The narration was superb, I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook, and I will recommend it over the physical copy any day. The story was fun and entertaining, I was just not into Zach 🤷‍♀️

3.5.

Yes - listen to it! It's -20 without the wind chill in Minnesota in February, thinking about the South, vineyards and Southern food is an escape worth the price of an audio book!!! (P.S. will probably be just as good in summer on the beach).

The story was interesting to me as someone who loves to cook and travel so it kept my interest with the descriptions of foodie things. I liked the characters & know that the next in the series will probably be as good! The plot was intriguing as I wondered what had happened in the past that was having such an impact on the main characters.

2 person audio narrations are always a bit more enjoyable and this audio book was no exception.

Thanks to Netgalley and Orangesky Audio for an ARC to help me prepare this honest review.

I really struggled with listening to this audiobook. I did enjoy what I listened to but I think it would be better read yourself rather than the narrators

This was a lovely, sweet story that just makes you happy. Readers that enjoy wine can pair a glass nicely with this read! Taking place at a vineyard, you can't help but want a glass! This was a story that had me laughing as the characters interacted with each other, but also had me falling in love. I really liked the way this enemies-to-lovers story played out. This is a perfect read for anyone that is looking for a charming romance!

I was provided a gifted copy of this book for free. I am leaving my review voluntarily.

This enemies to lovers audiobook was sweeter than orange blossom honey. I enjoyed listening to the southern voices of Shelby and Zack. Shelby's dream to work for food network and an assignment with her least favorite vineyard owner Zack is the next step. Zack hates critics and everything they stand for after a bad review hurt his family's winery. Can these two make it work or will it turn out to be sour grapes? Pick up a copy of The Sweetness of Life by Kathryn Andrews to find out.

Sweet Southern Charm! I really enjoyed this romance/contemporary story and OMG the recipes all sound yummy! The book follows Shelby Leigh, a food critic, blogger and chef who dreams of a job with The Food Network, and Zach Wolff, a vineyard owner and wine maker that hates food critics and is very wary of hosting Shelby and working with her for a magazine article but he must stumble through the next two weeks to help fix his winery's reputation that was scarred by another food critic. No spoilers but I definitely recommend it to everyone who loves a sweet Southern read.

This is an audio book review for The Sweetness Of Life by Kathryn Andrews. Shelby is all about food! Not only does she have a restaurant but she runs a food blog when she is asked to spend two weeks with Zach at his Winery to collaborate and produce an article together. These two have a real dislike for each other from the get go but as time moves on this turns to ‘like’ very quickly! This book is predictable but it’s about Shelby and Zachary’s journey - the sexy and gorgeous attraction that develops between them, the picture that is painted of the Southern Wolf Winery and the delicious food. At the end of each chapter is the addition of a recipe which really adds to the ‘foodie’ element of this novel.
The audio book is narrated by Joshua Macrae and Natalie Duke who really put the ‘steam’ into this book!
If you love an uplifting read, food and an enemies to friends relationship then this audio book is perfect for you!
Thank you to OrangeSky audio and Netgalley for my gifted copy.
