I have followed Ashley LeMieux since her Born To Shine book. She has really evolved over the years, so I was thrilled when this book came out. She gives practical, tangible tools which was so helpful for me in a tough season. I really hope she writes another book!

Ashley is amazing. I’ve adored her for years and follow her on Instagram. This book was inspiring and a wonderful read. I immediately bought and gifted this to my sister as well.

Ashley Lemieux has a way of making you feel seen, like you aren't alone in this world. Whether you are going through big changes personally, in your family life or just struggling with little things, she makes you feel like you can get through it. Ashley has created a whole community in her little corner of the internet and continues to write the words that her community needs to hear in a way that is so relateable because she is speaking from the heart through her personal experiences.

Easy to read. Ashley is so insightful. Her Instagram brought me to her books. She is an inspiration and her book just made her 100 times cooler in my book.

Parts of this book after really informative and inspiring, especially the actual mapping section, but other parts were tedious and as someone unfamiliar with the author going into the book I felt a bit list in regard to the situation with her kids, which is alluded to heavily throughout the book but never really explained.

Genre: Biographies & Memoirs | Nonfiction (Adult) | Self-Help
Publication Date: May 4, 2021

I Am Here: The Journey from Fear to Freedom by Ashley LeMieux is part memoir, part self-help book.

Prior to reading this book, I had not heard of the author or her work. I found the book to be very interesting and had some great tips! I can definitely see myself using some of the tips in my own life.

I'm so grateful to Ashley LeMieux, HarperOne, and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.

I adore Ashley & her life stories. The trials this couple had been through & the light they continue to shine on the world is so bright & impactful! Highly recommend!

Loved this! Full of positivity. My favorite line was “Not only is it okay to be afraid, it means that you have something in your life so precious that you’re compelled to protect it”. I carry that with me in my moments of anxiety

Ashley’s story can help start a movement to change the world. I felt so healed by her vulnerability. She has such a beautiful heart to serve and help others feel heard and loved.

Okay so here's the deal. I didn't expect to like this book. I didn't prepare myself for a social media influencer to leave my soul feeling fed and loved and empowered - YET HERE I AM. (No pun intended).
I have known about Ashley for forever. But only have followed her for about a year on social media. I know her last book was really successful but I never read it personally. I thought I knew her story because I know people who know her personally. But when the opportunity arose to read an ARC copy through NetGalley (thank you!!) I couldn't NOT check out what all the new excitement was about.

I honestly expected this to be just a memoir of all the difficult things Ashley has been through (because holy s#'+ she's been through the ringer) but I was so impressed by this book. She shares her heart and her love for her readers and followers. I kind of love her alot more after reading this book. I feel more loved and empowered by her in these pages than I do watching her stories on Instagram. But this may be due to the way I connect!

Here's what I can tell you about this book- it provides tools and strategies to build a strong powerful self and it helps you work out the mechanics of it all to help you step away feeling empowered and full of self love.

I know it's a good book when I take notes and I took PAGES.

I was given the opportunity to read this book for free and less than half way through I pre-ordered it at my local shop because I knew I would want to read it again. I even bought the audio version because that is my preferred method of reading these days.

What I can say is this book is POWERFUL. If you are looking for ways to grow and develop personally and really not just relate to an author but TRANSITION and go through a METAMORPHOSIS - this book is going to be the step in the right direction.

IF you listen to the audio- which you should- Ashley narrates it herself and she does a great job! Be sure to grab the physical book too and read along because there are multiple incredibly impactful moments that are worth your time highlighting, rereading, and noting for yourself.

You know what, go ahead and buy the workbook that is coming out for it too. Trust me this is a book that takes you from listening to participating. It's worth the time to put in the work to truly grow.

I am so excited to take the keys Ashley has given me and put them to use. I am ready to be loud and proud and loved and safe. I am worthy of this love and I am grateful for her willingness to share her story with the world so we can benefit from her resilience and love.

So I'm not great about reading nonfiction but there was something about this one that called to me and I felt like I needed to know what secrets were inside. I'll be honest, this book wasn't completely for me. I enjoyed it and it had a great message. I do think that this book will be helpful for others I just don't think I got out of it exactly what I was hoping to get. Some components were good and will make me think about my own processes in the future but ultimately I just not completely sold on this either.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Ashley LeMieux for allowing me to read this great book. I have occasionally checked in on the Lemieuxs to see how they are doing after the year they had in 2020 and Ashley's positive attitude and all that she gives the world is extraordinary. I loved this book and everything about it. Thank you again for allowing me to read.

Thank you to NetGalley and HarperOne for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. I, for one, tend to seek out a good self-help book in my darker seasons, and this was one of those times. I appreciated Ashley LeMieux’s vulnerability in her book, I Am Here. Being unfamiliar with LeMieux’s work, I found this to be a refreshing, helpful read as I navigate my own life’s purpose. The strategies and tools she provided the reader with, intertwined with her own story of healing, were empowering. I certainly found myself taking notes as I read and highlighted inspiring quotes to look back on. This was one of those books I intend to recommend to the women in my life who I know will benefit from LeMieux’s insights and experience.

This self help book was not a major win for me. It wasn’t bad but I just didn’t agree with all of her ideas, thoughts and concepts. Some of it was a bit “off” to me. I did enjoy her writing style and her vulnerability though.

Ashley is such a passionate person and you can tell she really wants her readers to succeed and overcome challenges. I enjoyed the section on reframing but after that I felt bored and didn’t really connect with the concept of Clarity Mapping. I think this book will likely be a great fit for most of her audience, it just wasn’t a great fit for me.
