A House Full of Windsor wasn't at all the book I expected it to be, judging solely by the cover.
I thought it would take us into the lives of the Royal family, but alas, it does not.
Where it does take us is into a quirky, humorous family drama with alternating POVs and dual timelines. And of course a little obsession with The Royals.
I was thoroughly entertained and pleasantly surprised by the unexpectedness of this book!

A very fast and fun read, a fresh tanking book. A feel-good book that has a ton of cliches that make them funny which is why this books is so interesting it does not pretend to be more than a book that will make laugh if you allow it to. Royal bases books always catch my eye almost immediately, and this was a fresh twist on solely focusing on the traditional British Royal story so i would recommend this one for someone who likes a fun and royal British story

I really enjoyed this book. It had charm, romance, mental health issues, intrigue, heartache and a happily ever after…what more could you ask from a book?
A mother of grown children lives in a home and she is a hoarder. It’s the family secret of shame they keep hidden well. When her son books her with a reality show for hoarders, not only the mom but her kids lives change for the better.

A tender look at the relationship between children and parents and the problem of letting go of the past. This book had a well-crafted dual timeline and deftly explored the concept of possessions and how they define us.

This book has a lot of going on and its a pretty chaos. I love how well the events were done and executed well. Each events were unique and I can learn somethung from it. The main character especially is a special character for me. She's indeed a very interesting one.

The events are refreshing and shows ways of moving forward in life. And at the same time, i love the setting of the story. It feels like I was there while reading it. I totally recommend this book.

This is a great book by an author that is new to me. Anything Royal catches my eye almost immediately, and this was a fresh twist on solely focusing on the traditional British Royal story. I appreciated the character development as well as the way the author was able to weave in the backstory in an engaging way. I will definitely read more by this author!

Dnf- unfortunately this never grabbed my attention. I did try multiple times to restart but every time I did not feel engaged.

Full disclosure, I requested this book solely based on the cover. While I was expecting one story, I got another and it was delightful. I found myself relating a little with Sarah and her struggles with her mother, who is a hoarder. While some serious subjects were broached, it was still a fun read….especially if you are a fan of anything royal.

A House Full of Windsor is a charming and heartfelt story that will capture your attention-even if you're not a royal watcher (full disclosure: I am and if you are-pick this up). Debbie Windsor has fallen in love with all things British-including Alan Percy. Recently graduated from school in the UK a quick summer romance in 1981 (when Charles and Diana married) leads to marriage, family and decades living in England. Debbie's obsession with the Royal Wedding leads to collecting all manners of Royal Family memorabilia-and increases as her marriage fractures.

In the present, Sarah Percy is a host on Good Morning New York-famous for her etiquette advice and organization tips. Secretly, her mother Debbie is a hoarder and compulsive shopper. Sarah and her siblings attempt to help but are brushed aside-that is until son Will has an opportunity to be an executive producer on reality show Stuff! Stuff helps hoarders recover and provides interventions-Will nominates his mother Debbie AND offers his famous sister Sarah's support (without her permission). Debbie feels she has no choice as her children confront her and with Sarah's career on the line (as well as a flirtation with Stuff's host) the stakes feel very high. Told sensitively, with obvious affection for the UK and royals, A House Full of Windsor is somehow a fun, charming read even with the topic at hand. I love the Percy-Windsor family!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest feedback.

I enjoyed this book but actually got a bit bored about half way through. Otherwise it was a cute story

Oh this is my favorite book this year. I kept seeing it online and I'm so glad I decided to read it. Sarah works for a NY tv station on a major network. Her brother gets a job on a show like Hoarders. No one knows that their mother Debbie is a hoarder. She isn't a nasty hoarder but loves all things about the Royal Family. It might be magazine articles, cups, spoons anything that has the Royals on it.
This book is funny and I loved it. If you like to watch Hoarders then you have to read this book.

Sarah hosts a segment on the local morning show dealing with organization and household tips. Debbie, Sarah’s mom, went to college in England, married, and stayed there until her marriage fell apart. The three children, Sarah, Will and Anne, are now adults, facing the truth about their own lives and relationships as a result of their mother being a hoarder, particularly of all things Royal. When offered the opportunity to be part of a show called Stuff, where help,is given to hoarders, whose houses are cleaned up and counseling offered, Debbie reminisces about her time in England and how her hoarding began. Although this sounds serious, it is actually a fun and enjoyable read, which I recommend. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I think that this had potential; if you need a light, fast read you might enjoy this family story. However, it ultimately was cliché and shallow and forgettable.

Sarah has a wonderful career as an influencer on the morning show in NYC. Everyone follows her household advice. Sarah has worked hard to hide facts about her mother, Debbie Windsor. Debbie is a hoarder and a compulsive buyer of all things royal. And now her crowded space has become a huge issue. Sarah and her brother decide to take action. It does not go quite as planned!

I enjoyed so many aspects of this novel. The secrets unveiled about Debbie’s past as the story unfolded kept me entertained! No doubt about it! And the characters and their quips had me laughing and grinning. Add in all the royal memorabilia..and I was hooked! Such a charming and delightful tale from start to finish!

Need a cute, all around good read…THIS IS IT! Grab your copy today.

I received this novel from the publisher for a honest review.

I’m a sucker for any Royal related book and this one was fun. Loved the supporting cast of characters and found this delightful

A book like this has multiple building blocks that add up to the entire narration. Here we have three siblings, brought up in the US by a mother who, although she has left her adopted country behind, continues to carry it with her(almost literally). Each of the siblings, their individual storylines, and how they interact felt relatable despite the odd situation they find themselves in. They are supportive and argumentative at just the right amounts to be believable.
I even enjoyed the mother's story of finding a new partner and the tentative relationship she starts to build. Now here's where the problem begins. Debbie Windsor divorced a royalty adjacent British man and, during the marriage, picked up the irreversible habit of being a hoarder. This has reached a point where her children have had to blackmail her into participating in a TV show that might help her. This is the part that I felt least invested in. Try as I might, even with all the flashbacks provided to us at appropriate junctions, I could not feel the hoarding habit and its taking over of Debbie's life. It did not seem to fit into the larger narrative and the tone the rest of the story took.
I enjoyed the writing and all the people in the story, and, as mentioned earlier, all the interactions as well. I would have liked the book even more if I had been sympathetic to the core hoarding issue of the story. I would still recommend this to readers of the genre, especially those who have a liking for following the British Royal family like Debbie does.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.

Some would say Debbie’s obsession with the Royal family is out of control, but Debbie doesn’t really care what anyone says. Shopping and buying items she loves brings her happiness, who cares it’s taken over ever space in her home! Hoarding Smroarding, mind you own business!
When Debbie’s son gets a job on the new show “Stuff” and enlists his famous organizer sister to assist, Debbie is forced to accept the reality that she has a problem. Worse part is she must face her dirty little secret on camera for the world to see! All of her items hold special memories but the deeper issue is why Debbie isn’t dealing with the underlying issues she’s buried for years, and why she’s using objects to fill the void.
The siblings will have to come together to help their mother rid her life of all the royal clutter, and learn a little about themselves along the way. A sweet story that will have you cheering on Debbie and wanting to go through her royal paraphernalia all at the same time!

Confession: Back in the late '80s when all of my friends plastered their walls with posters of Madonna, Michael Jackson, Kirk Cameron and the Coreys (IYKYK), mine were covered in homemade posters of Princess Diana. (And by homemade I mean B&W photocopies of pictures from magazines that I cut out and glued to poster board. They were low rent, people.) I was OBSESSED with all things royal - I subscribed to Majesty magazine, recorded Andrew & Fergie's wedding (I still have the VHS tapes) and kept scrapbooks of all mentions of Diana, Charles and the rest of the Mountbatten-Windsors. I eventually outgrew my fascination but I'm still a sucker for stories related to The Firm.

𝗔 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗦𝗢𝗥 isn't about the royal family but focuses on another Windsor family (this one in Pennsylvania) whose matriarch, Debbie, is a shopaholic and hoarder. Her house is filled with stuff that reminds her of the UK, where Debbie studied abroad, and Princess Diana, whose relationship with Charles paralleled Debbie's own with her husband.

When her son gets a job working on 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘧𝘧, a 𝘏𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴-esque reality show, he volunteers his mother and his sister, Sarah, an etiquette expert, to take part, but the process of decluttering the house forces family secrets and their buried issues into the light.

Contino mixes royalty, 1980s nostalgia, family drama, reality TV shows and some romance to create a unique and entertaining story. The supporting characters are wonderful and there are some very touching moments. Even if you're not a royal fanatic like me and Debbie, this tale of letting go, literally and figuratively, is one you won't want to miss.
