A perfect life is not always how it seems...this book follows the creepy, chilling story of a new mum who hires a nanny who has her own hidden agenda!
So many twists and turns. Once you think you've got it figured out there's another major twist!
I love how this story switched between the different characters and you got to see the story from two different sides. There weren't any stones left unturned by the end of this book which I loved.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down! I highly recommend it.
Thank you to Karen Clarke, Amanda Brittany, NetGalley and HQ Digital for the opportunity to read and review this book.

This book was not as good as I thought it would be from the premise. It was slow paced not grip me until over half way through when the pace picked up. Far fetched in parts. Not terrible but not great.. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.

The perfect nanny is a creepy, chilling, twisty psychological thriller that will keep you guessing until the end!
Sophy and Dom have a baby boy Finn, however sophy has failed to bond with him, constantly feeling tired, dizzy and forgetful, thankfully her mother in law is on hand to help out with childcare, housework and cooking!
Liv a nanny has had a troubled past and has a vendetta against sophy so has to inveigle her way into their home in order to start her plan of making sophy pay for her previous history however misguided this may be!
The plot thickens as sophy becomes more and more tired, ill,and forgetful relying on her mother in law and liv to do the majority of the childcare, why is she so tired?? Why isn’t she getting her messages?? And why do things keep getting misplaced??
Things are not what they seem in this affluent street, who can you really trust?
Thank you net galley for this early read.

Love the twists a great fast paced book.

Liv`s brother committed suicide when she was younger so she decided to get her revenge on his old girlfriend Sophy who seems happily married with a gorgeous husband, huge house and a new baby boy, the perfect life.

So Liv befriends Sophy and as Sophy is finding motherhood difficult with fatigue and memory loss Liv offers to be her nanny.

But the perfect life is not as it seems!

Loved this book and will definitely read more from these authors.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Told from the point of view of both Olivia (Liv) and Sophy . Liv is a Nanny and Sophy a struggling new mum, they meet at a baby group and seem to hit it off, but all is not what it seems. A sinister thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. So many twists and turns.
An enjoyable read that I raced through, a bit predictable in places but this did not spoil it for me.
Thank you @NetGalley and @HQdigital for the gifted ERC

2.5 stars

Some parts of this book were quite clever. Others, a bit unbelievable, and too predictable, particularly as the story went on. The last 30% didn't really hit the mark for me. I did enjoy the dual POV with Liv and Sophy, though there wasn't as much character development as I expected. For the genre, the pace was a bit too slow for the majority of the book.

I am only here to give an honest review as this was gifted to me by NetGalley

Available March 31st

Sophy is losing it. After having Finn her son with her super hot husband Dom - she begins to spiral. Nothing makes sense. Her husband always has to run by the office.. and her pushy over bearing mother n law makes me want to reach threw the book and chin check her.

First Sophy can’t stay awake. Ummm could it be the “vitamins “ your psychopath husbands family is giving you. Or the coffee. Drink coffee pass out. Don’t remember anything.
Take vitamins , pass out. Don’t recollect the day. Husband tells you story. Believe him.
Mother in law means well. Believe her.
Crazy new nannie which you figured out what she was doing but were convinced otherwise by her.

But somehow you’re otherwise educated enough to write history quiz show questions??

Does the elevator not go all the way up. I love a good whodunit and this is one
But I have the hardest time with women being protested as this naive ..... and stupid

And don’t get me started on Liz and her vendetta.

These women both need to get a clue and a life.
🌟🌟🌟

A Riveting, spine-tingling story with likable characters. Though it wasn't hard to really figure out whats up, it still have interesting and suspenseful plot. Definitely an easy and quick read.

This book is definitely eerie. It has such a dark and brooding atmosphere to it. This tale has definitely made a thinker out of me. I think I will forever be trying to find out whatever I can about the people in my circle. A mother hires someone she believes she can trust, only to have that person be from her past and out for revenge. I think this book will definitely stay on my mind. I recommend this book.

The Perfect Nanny is a thriller about a girl named Liv who is a nanny for a wealthy family. While she is a wonderful nanny, her reasons for becoming one are not sincere. She is determined to get close to another family, mainly a mom named Sophy, so she can get her revenge for her brother Ben's death, sixteen years prior.

Poor Sophy. I felt so bad for her during this entire book. She was struggling so much and it felt as though she had no one in her court to support her. I enjoyed the multiple narrators throughout the book so that the reader was able to get the whole picture from both sides. There were several twists in the book that I did not see coming which always make thrillers/mysteries so much fun! There were quite a few characters to keep up with in the novel which was sometimes difficult. Also, some of the characters' conversations were a little stilted and did not seem realistic at times.

Overall, it was a fun thriller and a quick read! I didn't want to put it down! Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC and give my honest review.

Sophy is trying hard to be a good new mum but she is so tired all the time! She is finding it hard to cope. So when Liv offers to be her nanny and help, she agrees to it immediately! But Liv blames Sophy for the death of her brother, but Sophy doesn’t realise who she is.

I loved the twists in this book and also the way each chapter was Sophy’s point of view or Liv. Good to see it from both sides. Few surprises in this book!! Enjoy 😊 x

Brilliant book – so easy to become involved in. It’s a psychological thriller, where a lot felt obvious, so I felt quite smug reading it, knowing that for once I had worked out what I thought were twists, but there were more to come throughout!
Liv is obsessed with Sophy, the woman who her brother had been in love with before taking his life when she was no longer interested. Liv wants revenge and so worms her way into becoming a nanny for Sophy’s son, Finn, just as Sophy’s life seems to be completely falling apart.
I really loved this book, so much so that I am now working my way through Karen Clarke’s back catalogue. Easy to read, easy to love, easy 5 stars.

I’d like to thank H.Q. and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘The Perfect Nanny’ by Karen Clarke & Amanda Brittany in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Sophy Pemberton is constantly falling asleep and forgetting things, and struggling to stay awake to care for nine-month-old Finn. Liv Granger thinks Sophy is responsible for the death of her brother Ben sixteen years ago and wants to make her pay. When they meet Sophy is persuaded to employ Liv to look after Finn but she doesn’t realise that her new Nanny has a hidden agenda.

‘The Perfect Nanny’ is a chilling story of a sleep-deprived new mother and the Nanny she trusts until rumours start to circulate around the neighbourhood of Sophy’s inability to care for her baby and anonymous letters are sent to her and her husband Dom. The plot is cleverly written and tension mounts as alternate chapters narrated by Sophy and Liv reveal new twists and turns. I been kept guessing until the final few chapters that are every mother’s nightmare and I was unable to stop reading until I’d reached the last page. This is an exciting and enjoyable novel that I can recommend.

Well, how unlucky can one woman be - Sophie seems to be the object of everyone's hatred!! I did find much of this book rather predictable and was able to work out who was doing what and why .... to a certain degree. There was definitely a curveball I didn't see coming and there were surprises.
This book is definitely worth reading and I couldn't put it down - a definite page turner.
Very clever title too, I thought!
Three and a half stars.
Many thanks to Netgalley/Karen Clarke/Amanda Brittany/HQ for a digital copy of this title. All opinions expressed are my own.

3.5 Is It The Help You Need Stars

When I became a new mother, the desire to have someone help me was enormous. It also was a complicated feeling for me because what I soon learned from watching and befriending other moms, the need would sometimes blind and disrupt smart thinking. Because the most obvious thing I noticed was people would be more cautious in lending their prized car to someone than to have someone watch their child. Really...

The Perfect Nanny uses that desperate need for assistance for our new mom and runs with it. Our new mom is being overwhelmed and can't seem to get a handle on being on top of things. She meets a lovely, friendly woman who in a moment seems to be a baby-whisperer, and a friendship/offer of employment as a nanny comes about.

Little does our unsuspecting mother know, her new perfect nanny has her own agenda.
And little does the reader know as to all the other people in this book have agendas, too.

This book has all sorts of happenings to keep your mind active and looking to figure out what is actually happening...who is doing the gaslighting and what is the outcome.

Liv blames new Mum Sophy for the tragic death of her brother and when she discovers that Sophy is struggling with her baby son, befriends Sophy and inveigles her way into her life as a nanny.

But, as always with psychological thrillers, all is not as straightforward as it appears. While Liv envies Sophy her perfect home, husband and baby she also is enraged that Sophy is oblivious to the pain she inflicted on Liv and her family.

I found the final part of the book rather unbelievable but overall a good read. Many thanks to NetGalley and HQ Digital for the opportunity to read and review The Perfect Nanny.

An obsessed woman bent on revenge worms her way into the life of a new mother struggling with motherhood. Sophy is the ideal gaslighting victim - vulnerable, anxious and paranoid - however it soon becomes apparent that there is more than one obsessed woman with similar plans on destroying Sophy’s life. Written from the viewpoint of the perpetrator and the victim, the story moves very quickly and has a lot of twists and turns. I did not, however, find the revenge motive particularly compelling and the characters lacked depth. A pacy and exciting read but not the best I have read in this genre. Many thanks to NetGalley for an advanced copy to review.

Told in duo narratives, The Perfect Nanny is a psychological thriller that I will not forget.

Although I could tell where the book was going, it was a fun book all around!
