Even though I didn’t like the main character, Liv or her motivations, I enjoyed this book. I liked the variation of voices and points of view between Sophy and Liv with loads of red herrings. Having said that, the story was a little exaggerated and in places, unbelievable. The ending was easy to predict but I still enjoyed it.

Thank you to #NetGalley, #HQStories, and authors #KarenClarke and #AmandaBrittany for the ARC of #ThePerfectNanny.

I really enjoyed this book. It embodies the perfect psychological thriller. The plots are perfectly planned and then twisted beyond belief. This is my kind of book.

The nanny, Olivia is great with children and is working for a couple in a neighborhood filled with young parents with babies.

While at a meet-up for moms and babies she meets a mother, Sophy. Sophy seems more down to earth than the rest and thinks maybe they can be friends. Of course this is not a random meeting because Olivia is desperate to get close to Sophy.

As time marches on the parents she is working for starts giving her a little trouble. The dad starts coming on to her and she ends up leaving hurriedly.

Olivia is desperate to get in good with Sophy because she thinks her brother committed suicide because Sophy broke his heart. She wants Sophy to suffer like her family has.

Before long Olivia had wormed her way in to the house convincing Sophy and her husband, Dom that they should hire her on a trial basis. Olivia begins to gaslight Sophy and discovers that maybe Sophy is losing her sanity all on her own.

You won't believe what comes next. I was drawn in and felt as if I lived in that neighborhood and actually cared what happened to everyone.

If you need a break grab this book. It is a great one. You will be able to purchase it wherever you like to buy your books on 3/31/21.

The Perfect Nanny was quite a quick read but I was drawn into it very quickly. We follow the story of Liv who feels the need to get revenge on a woman she thinks is responsible for her brothers suicide, as the story goes on we find this isn't the case and get to a different event that is happening which leads to finding the trruth about someone completely different. Lots of twists and turns. Fully recommend a read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Brilliant thriller one of which I raced through without skipping a beat! Told through the two perspectives it holds your interest and keeps you second guessing constantly (I did anyway!). Quite fast paced and full of twists and turns this is a must read for anyone who like thrillers! I really liked it and will be looking out for more from the author....

I found this book a pleasant enough read, although none of the characters are particularly likeable or relatable and some of the situations quite unlikely, I still found myself wanting to find out how everything was going to pan out.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me to review this book.

This domestic thriller features gaslighting, revenge, and mother-in-law drama all packed into one quickly unfolding story. I enjoyed the dual-perspectives and the alternating points of view, but I struggled with some of the details, including the fact that new mother Sophy did not seem to be getting the appropriate medical care that she needed (as the characterization of her and her family members/husband would make it seem as though this was a given). It was also challenging to side with Liv, seeking revenge, as the reader can tell early on that Sophy is struggling, so it was hard to root for Liv in this scenario. Still, this had an interesting twist, and although I was ultimately able to figure out one of the major surprises, I enjoyed this as a quick and easy read.

This book was so good I stayed up far past my bedtime reading it. So so gripping. It is told through two narratives, the employer and the nanny and each one twisted and turned. Would highly recommend, just make sure you clear your schedule beforehand.

The Perfect Nanny is told in alternating perspectives: Liv, who is a nanny out for revenge against Sophy; and Sophy, a woman who is struggling with new motherhood with her son, Finn.

Gradually, we discover why Liv holds a grudge against Sophy. While you can tell where the story is going, it certainly keeps you engrossed until the end. The twists were somewhat obvious, but the enjoyable part of the book is waiting for the protagonists to figure it out- and figuring out who the protagonists are yourself.

This book is a solid 4 stars.. It is a great thriller told in alternating perspectives, which kept me interested. I enjoy stories told this way.

As a mother myself, I am always torn on reading stories about mothers and young children. Since I am in this point in life, I'm also drawn to these books and thrillers are by far my favorite book category.

This book was an easy read that kept me entertained. It was intriguing and I am Not able to guess all of the twists. Definitely a good read for the thriller lover.

This is just the kind of book I love. Characters with hidden pasts. Predictable twists which conceal other, more sinister twists. Easy to real style so the words just flow from the page.

I sped through this in an afternoon because it was just so enjoyable. Thoroughly recommended if you love domestic thrillers with plenty of suspense.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC without obligation.

I raced through this book. Told from the perspectives of the nanny and the mother this was full of twists and turns. It was easy to spot where the story was going but that in no way spoiled my enjoyment of the book. A cracking read and highly recommended.

The Perfect Nanny is a brilliant thriller written from the perspective of two characters. Sophy Pemberton has it all, at least that’s how it appears to the outside world. She lives in a perfect home, in a smart neighbourhood with her handsome and successful husband and beautiful baby. Liv Granger’s life couldn’t be more different. She is grieving for the older brother she lost and is consumed by a need to revenge his untimely death by taking everything from Sophy, the woman she blames for causing it. When Liv finds herself out work, she offers Sophy her services as nanny to her baby boy. Sophy is relieved. She desperately needs help to bring some order into her chaotic home. But life isn’t as clear cut as either of the women imagine and Liv soon discovers that there is much more going on in Sophy’s life than she could ever have expected.

I don’t want to ruin anyone’s enjoyment of this book by giving away too much of the plot but will say that The Perfect Nanny is seamlessly written by the two authors, Karen Clarke and Amanda Brittany. I was equally as intrigued when reading both characters’ points of view and as the story unfolded and I discovered more about each woman’s life the tension increased until the brilliant and shocking ending.

This is a fast-paced book with unexpected twists and turns that kept me guessing about the different characters, what they were up to, and their motives. Just when I thought I knew what might happen next, I was proved wrong and having read this book I have to admit that I’m glad I’m not a young mother looking to employ a nanny for my child.

Thanks to HQ and NetGalley for an ARC copy in return for an honest review.

Good book, no issues with it at all and I'm sure it will do well. Personally I have read too many stories with this trope, so it was lost on me. It definitely had its place though a d generally people will enjoy it

I liked the alternating chapters providing perspectives from each of the two main characters, however I didn’t feel like the characters themselves had a great deal of depth and neither were especially likeable. I was interested to keep reading and see how the story panned out, however was able to guess some of the key ‘reveals’ from an early stage. Others I didn’t guess but they seemed a bit shoehorned in. Overall an easy read, but just lacking a bit of the tension and surprise factor that I like in a thriller.

This book was so good that I wanted to stay up all night to finish it!! But, of course I didn’t and had to wait until this morning when I got to the last page. This story was so twisty and I didn’t guess who was doing awful things to the main character Sophy

When Olivia Grainger’s brother dies she is devastated.
She decides to get revenge.
Liv (Olivia) is a nanny so she works her way into Sophie’s life.
Sophie decides she needs help with her baby Finn.
Liv craftily tells Sophie she is not happy in her current job.
So Sophie hires Liv.
The story is told in short chapters by Liv and Sophie.
It definitely has plenty of twists and turns.

I have been completely hooked and unable to put this one down. This is told from a dual timeline and a real mix of characters.

This has been an addictive novel and I have loved the contrast between the characters. I have found that this has been filled with tension and suspense.

This is a read that is completely unique to anything I’ve read previously. I have found some aspects a little predictable but I have been so captivated it hasn’t stopped me enjoying this read.

I have adored this book, this is a great read. I absolutely hope there is more to come.
