The Virgin Hunt Games Volume 2 is book two in Mel Teshco’s Virgin Hunt Games erotica series. Though part of a series, each novel is a standalone.

Tamsin Mercedes wants to win to assist her parents with their business debts.

Landry Marx is used to being exploited, so the Games aren’t a new situation, but he vows it’ll be his last vulnerable moment.

Mel Teshco continues to create new scenery, creatures, and beings. There’s still romance in the erotica. The ending is satisfying. I liked it, and rate it 4 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend it to all readers of erotic romance.

This was so not for me. I thought the idea from the first book was a strangely erotic way of getting your kicks while being constantly entertained. The couple made it something worth knowing, but this installment? It's put me off from the rest of whatever would come out from this.

While neither were exactly people I'd follow, I had a really hard time liking the heroine or believing in anything she was doing. Every time she had a mean or rude thing to say, it didn't make me giddy because it seemed to come from such selfish... purposes. I'm all for dark and haunted but the way she went about things wasn't something I could sit and be okay with. One of the things that occurred involved her drugging a hunter and thinking it justified to have sex with him and then saying it's the same thing when one of the other hunters uses sexual tension against her. Her inability to say no when someone touches her and makes it feel good is apparently the same as drugging someone and influencing them to get down with you after they'd said no. I just... don't think that's at all okay. That is a very dark topic and in my opinion it wasn't handled well and soured the rest of the book for me.

Survial, sex, and betrayal in this reality fantasy adventure experience.

If you love steamy erotic sci-fi then this book is for you. Not for the faint of heart as there is a heavy balance
of scorch and descriptive scenes when characters are fighting for the prize.

Happy Reading

This second Virgin hunt games was nearly as good as the first one. I really enjoyed the main characters and what they were going through this for was noble. I think it was nice to see a fully human heroine being so good at this, resourceful, etc. It was a bit less exciting than the first though. #netgalley #thevirginhuntgamesvolume2

Overall I found the book to be quite a good read. I really liked the plot and enjoyed reading the story of the characters.

So, this book was interesting. It is pretty much an erotic version of The Hunger Games.
Tamsin Mercedes is a virgin and is therefore allowed to compete in the Virgin Hunt Games, but it can be a deadly event. She has had a nice life because her parents, scientists who research groundbreaking drugs, have given her everything she desires. Those parents are now being blackmailed by evil investors. The investors are forcing them to develop new, highly-addictive drugs. Tamsin won’t have it. She must win the hunt games to pay off their debts and free them from this burden.
Each contestant has a “mate.” Tamsin has been matched with Landry Marx, who has spent most of his life as a slave because he was sold by his mother. Their chemistry is explosive, and the more they get to know each other the more their guard comes down.

Lots of twists and turns. I think this would be a hard book to recommend because it is a rather unusual premise.
I was provided an advanced reader copy of the book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review of the materials.

I'll be honest, I was really hoping book 2 was a continuation of the characters from book 1. So that was a bit disappointing. That being said, this book was still fun. I just didn't fall into the story/characters the way I did with book 1.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and Netgalley for the ARC.

Even though I did not enjoy the characters as much as the first book, I am falling in love with this series. The story was well written but I could not connect with Tamsin. It was a good read.

We continue with the sexual tension of our next group of hunters and hunted.

In this world the Olympic Games as we know it have stopped because they were seen to be too boring for the intergalactic population. Instead they’ve founded the virgin hunt games that bring together reality tv, sex, violence, and thrill. In this particular book we follow a hunter who almost instantly falls for his hunted. She like most hunted only joined the games because her family really needs the money. He on the other hand needs the money to help create a new life. Will he allow her to stay a virgin so she can get the maximum points from the game and win? Or will he decide that he needs the money more than her and take her virginity from her?

I enjoyed this book and how they allowed us to see a little more “behind the scenes” when it comes to the actual games. I just wish there were a little more differences between this couple and the previous one.

Loved it, Different then what I usually read. Ta sin decides the only way she can help her parents is by entering The Virgin Hunt games. The requirements be a virgin when entering and not one when exiting. Landry intends to help her with that last part. He’s the one mated with her and he’s determined to win this game one way or another.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

Deception and betrayal, passion and denial are the keys to winning the Games. Those who fight the hardest, pleasure the most are in the race to win enough credits. But will strategy fall when faced with challenge? 7 days of hell is a long time to survive when dangers of unusual intensity strike without warning. Will a connection between hunted and hunter change the game? Will unknown abilities rise in proportion to the stakes?

Oh, we get to see another round of the Virgin Hunt Games! Excellent! This time, we get to focus on Tamsin's point of view! I think I really like her. What is her reason for participating in these games? What do we learn about her family? Landon isn't half bad, working har to keep her safe. Wow, this second book blew me away with things and people that can both kill and/or help! What sorts of things happened with people or aliens in this story? What choices are made that change the course of some lives? I always enjoy watching the Hunted work together. How do our Hunters and Hunted stay alive? What trials do they end up going through in this story?? Read and see!

What happens when you have 10 virgins (hunted) and 10 gladiators (hunters) all trying to win credits and survive? You get the Virgin Games.

It is four years later, and it is time for a new round of contestants. This round of games features the handsome Leshonxa hunter Landry. Landry was sold into sexual slavery at the age of 17, exploited, modified, and now a fighter through and through. Tamsin, the feisty red headed human, only discernible skill is running, is in the games to save her family.

Landry was sold to the brothel so his mother would have money to buy drugs. The same drugs that Tamsin's parents were responsible for making. What will happen when the truth comes out? Will these two people from different worlds be able to resolve the divide between them?

My heart broke for Landry. He had been hurt, forced into prostitution, and yet he still had a moral compass. Tamsin I had a harder time connecting and feeling for. I will be honest, there were several times during the story that I truly didn't want Landry to come back for Tamsin because of her choices. But then I had to rethink my reasoning.

The whole point of the Virgin Games is to put people into situations that will make them do unspeakable things and make unspeakable choices. It is a game, each person is trying to win by any means necessary, and unfortunately Tamsin took those means.

This round of the Virgin Games was a page turner, had mostly likeable characters, and extreme challenges, even though we know what is coming, there were still unique and interesting threats and players. I liked the book and I will read the last volume of the Virgin Games.

ARC from NetGalley

1.5 stars

Well. I don't know why, but I actually sort of kind of had hopes that this book would be decent. Surely it's possible to do a decent paranormal/sci-fi "romance" that's heavy on explicit sex and also heavy on excellent plot and characters, right? At any rate, this book wasn't it. I didn't care about the characters. The plot wasn't interesting. The romance was... right. There were also things like, it's 2330 and they come upon a bad smell and "Garbage that their ancestors had once negligently cast away, littering Mother Earth as though she was little more than a trash heap. Plastics, bottles, cans, papers, cardboard, and metal bits and pieces lay strewn over one another. But even worse were the rotting meat and food scraps."

Oh yeah? How long has this meat and food been rotting for? How long does this author think it takes for organic material to decompose? It's just lazy. Did you care at all? I could be forgiving if the sex scenes were hot, but they really weren't. Boo-urns. Thumbs down.

3.25/5 stars!

In the next Virgin Hunt Game, the human heroine, or the hunted, entered it for credits to help her parents get out of some evil investors' control. Whereas the appointed hunter, the hero, entered the game for his future after leaving a career that was forced on him when he was young. There is u deniable attraction between the couple as they try to survive the game with the most credits to become the winner.

This is a nice addition to the erotica series by Mel Teshco. It definitely made this game of virgin and the hunter become more dangerous as readers immersed themselves in the series. I liked the hero more than the heroine becase of his past and his integrity. On the other hand, the heroine wasn't likable in my eyes until near the end due to her viewpoint and some actions she'd taken. As my usual personal preference, I wanted more details though I did enjoy reading the epilogue. It also seems that there is a character trait that will be explored through the the series. Even though I didn't like this book's heroine as much as the first book's heroine, I look forward to reading more of this Mel Teshco series for enjoyment.

This is the second book by Mel I’ve read, and I’m totally impressed. Still reminds me of the Maze and the Hunger Games, but with adult content 😉
It’s the same place, it’s the same games, but it’s a totally different set of characters.
It’s four years since we last visited The Virgin Games.....

For those of you that didn’t read the first book (and you don’t need to really) The Virgin Games are a little like the Olympic Games, there is a competition, there is a prize, and there is a chance you can kill your enemy if your really lucky! (Well maybe the original Greek Games) Women are chosen, paid or volunteer to participate in this event. If they can evade being captured, they can earn credits, if their “hunter” captures them, then the hunter gets the credits and the woman! But if the woman has sex with other hunters then she can make a lot of credits! Most hunters have a grudge with each other, so as long as it’s a “fair” fight then killing each other is ok!!
The game is held in a tower in which the hunted women have to hide, evade or give the hunters what they want. There are also traps and weapons hidden in the tower.

Landry is a great character, he knows how to use his body to please women, but he’s never gotten emotionally involved. And why? Well, being sold by his mother into the sex industry will tarnish anyone. He’s sick of the “pretty boy” label, he’s going to become a fighter, so that someone someday will look at him with love, and not disgust!!

Tamsin in contrast had a great childhood, from a loving and caring set of parents. They were brilliant people creating drugs to help illnesses, but after a side effect caused addiction, the drug is now a firm favourite, and the business men her parents are now stuck with don’t want them to stop making it. Tamsin’s only option is to win the games and bail her parents out!!!

Now in the other book the main characters weren’t matched (but got on really well with each other) but in this one Tamsin and Landry are matched with each other, and it’s not exactly love at first sight!!

With a single goal Tamsin aims to evade the arrogant but hot Landry. He is also intent on winning this competition, but as the pair become more entwined with one another, how will Landry react to the information that Tamsin’s parents are the reason he was sold into slavery? But will his determination to look after her, be stronger than his desire to wring her neck?!

Delivered with precision. A fast paced story with moments of sadness as Landry relates his story. Moments of levity, when Landry thinks he has his mate, and she kicks his butt! Enough action to keep me hooked until the last page. The fight scenes were quick but intense.
Tamsin might be “just” a human, but don’t dismiss her, she’s got a few tricks up her sleeve.
The connection between Landry and Tamsin is great, both want the credits and both want each other, there is going to be a loser, but Landry wants to put a smile on his mates face before he takes the credits!
Watching as he slowly falls for his mate, so when her betrayal hits, it hits him hard!! All he can see is his past, and her parents are the reason why!!
It’s also great to have more interaction with the other participants in the game. We didn’t get too much in the last book. Loved the twins Kary and Hadda.

And hoping this series continues for a while.

The Virgin Hunt Games Volume 2 dives right into the next Game, there's minimal introduction to the story and I feel that if someone picked this book up first, they wouldn't be lost. There's a few references to the first book, but nothing that would leave you confused.

I'll admit, I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first. The story was solid, but the characters were...less likeable. The plot felt a bit forced through the book and the romance was lacking.

There's still plenty of steam and action right up to the end which I enjoyed. And, of course, that happily ever after wraps the story up nicely!

Thank you Entangled Publishing via NetGalley for the e-arc to read and review!

The Virgin Hunt Games, Volume 2 was still as erotic as the first one and even more so in parts. This was much darker than the first book and I can see where this is going to be trending towards if it keeps up this pace. Don't get me wrong, I do love me some dark dark erotica ;)

Tamsin's character was very hard for me to get into. I understood why she went into the games and became the hunted and why she was sacrificing that part of herself but when she was in there she seemed to enjoy the attention from all the hunters. It was as if she was wanting all of them to focus on her. I couldn't quite figure out if she was wanting as much money as she could get or if she was truly enjoying herself in that aspect.

Landry stayed in this shell for far too long for my liking. I know that his walls were coming down around Tamsin and I know that he was really falling for her but it just seemed that every time he turned around he would just wall up and not let his walls come down when they should. It became quite frustrating after so long.

In the end I feel that the story really wrapped up nicely and I feel that the story really came to a climax the way it should and I feel that the characters dealt with it the way I expected it to. I can't wait for the next book to come out and see if we continue down the dark path or if we start to lighten up a bit! Keep me on the edge of my seat!!

This was an okay read for me. The h irritated me quiet a bit with her ability to rationalize her need to be involved with other hunter’s but I absolutely loved Landry, he was a wonderful hero.
